Don't scream at me!
I have searched, but I can't seem to find this anywhere?
On my HTC Desire, when I have the default browser open and press menu and choose more, the top item is Home
On the SGS, under default browser settings, I have set my Home Page no problem, but when I choose menu and more, there is no "Home" option on the list?
As far as i can see, you press Menu button (while in browser) then New Window but it keeps the old window open as well so you need to close that with the 'Windows' button (in Menu)
I've only had mine a few days so there may be a quicker way but that does work
Thanks for that stickfinger
I had been doing the same and assumed I was missing something really obvious, but it appears not??

I searched, but only found one thread as to where to get Qmenu. Does anyone use it? I really like it, only I can't seem to get it to open every time when I hit my start button. I know there is a setting for it to replace the system start menu, but even checked, it only sometimes opens the Qmenu by default, and usually opens my regular start menu. This app would be great if it opened every time when start is hit. Anybody have a solution?
In the options there is a setting that opens the regular start menu on long press. I set my long press to reboot. If I dont take the start icon quickly it will give me a reboot dialog box. See if its just a tap speed issue you are having. QMenu is awesome and the newest version is really sweet.
I love qmenu, without it WM seemed too simplistic & tedious.
Had the same 'problem' about the start menu too at first, but I was new to this diamond & too heavy handed. The baby needs caressing gently.
haha thanks for the replies guys, I was just being stupid and did not realize that hitting "start" and hitting the little windows icon are too different things. hitting the button in the middle opens up the regular menu, and the small icon opens up the Qmenu. I guess I just wish hitting start (easier) would open up Qmenu
Searched but didn't find anything on these two Opera questions:
1. In Opera on my TouchPro, there is a button to close the current tab (just to the right of the location field at the top of the window). On the HD2, I have to go to the tab menu to close a tab. What happened to the close tab button? I found it much more convenient...
2. The "big scroll bar" (I don't know what it's actually called, but the large button that pops up in certain applications to allow you to easily grab and drag the scroll bar with your finger) doesn't pop up in Opera. So if I'm at the end of a very long web page, I have to swipe 20 times to get back to the top since I can't "grab" the scroll bar with my finger. Is this how it works for everyone?
Thanks for any help you can offer!
I would like to know that, too.
The first one, I think, is a change from Opera 9.5 to 9.7.
A scrollbar would be nice!
Another annoying bug in Opera is whenever there is a Drop-down menu on a webpage with over 20+ options to select from there is no way to scroll within the drop-down menu.
To give an e.g. visit fring.com and from Download click the drop-down menu for Country or Brand... there is no way to scroll down or up. The entire page starts scrolling but specifically the menu portion doesn't.
This works very well on IE6.

1. if you click on the tab button (middle button), you get the option to close the tab.
2. scrolling works very fast for me

Yes, but that's two taps - what I miss is the "close tab" button that was right there in the browser window.

Apparently this is not a high-priority issue for xda'ers... no love so far...
Is the big pop-out scroll button HTCScroll or is it part of WM6.5? Wondering if there is a registry tweak to enable it for certain applications.
having just checked through the opera preferences editor there's no options for either of these, shame....

Zoom the area where the scroll bar is in the drop down menu.
Just single tap and hold over the scroll bar for 2-3 seconds. Don't take your hand away. Slide your finger now and it will scroll the menu instead of the opera window as a whole.
How do you change the default home screen? Like when I press the home button it will use that instead? Cause im trying out the ADW Launcher but its not in the applications lists so I cant open it.
When using a program try holding the home button, this should pop up with a menu that says "complete action with" and show Home or ADW. Or something like that, I know Ive seen that menu before.
Yea, it used to show the menu. But then I set the Home as default action so if I press home it will bring me to the home i dont want and if I hold it, it shows a box with recently opened apps

Holding the home button is the action for bringing the recent app list. *FAIL*

Go into application settings and clear the defaults for Home.
Settings-> Applications-> Manage Applications
Scroll down do the Home application (cant remember if its called home or what, deleted my Launcher.apk ages ago after getting root). Once you have cleared the defaults. A press on the home button will show you options to select your home screen, this will include ADW, Home and TimeScape, select ADW and check "Set as default".
Hey all,
For some reason on my MT4G, when i set a default, it ends up resetting after about 5 minutes.
For example, I use the LockBot app, and when i press the home key, it prompts me to select which program to complete the action with. The two options are "HTC Sense" and "LockBot(Don't Select)." Under the two options it the option "Use by default for this action" checkbox. I select that and hit "HTC Sense," and it works for a little while. Then after about 5 minutes when i hit the home key, it will again prompt me to select the program to complete the action with.
This happens for all apps, Lock 2.0 , AWD Launcher, Lockerwidget .... etc...
Anyone else have this problem, or better yet, have a solution?
Is there any way to remap the function of "RecentApps" soft key to "Menu" function?
I almost do not use "RecentApps" and I find the necessity of manual search of "settings" button in each app quite distracting.
I have Xperia Ray smartphone and it has Back button, Home button (long press on this button launches RecentApps and not the useless Google circle pane, like in Nexus, which is not even customizable) and Menu button, which I use VERY often.
In my opinion - this scheme is the most convenient and I'd like to get it in Nexus 7.
Does anybody have an idea how it could be implemented?

Where 'menu' key is applicable, three dots show on the right low corner. If these dots don't appear, I don't think 'menu' key would bring you anywhere anyway (or those three dot's appear anywhere else, like in one of top corners, and pressing menu key would open the menu from those dots anyway, so you'd have to move your fingers a lot)
I have xperia as well (Arc S), and as much as I had to get used to it from beginning, I understand why the choice of these buttons (not every app uses the menu key, so it would be useless in such cases).
I don't know how else are you going to switch apps then, click back every time?

It would be really good if it was always true. Unfortunately, it's not. For example, there is a FBReader app, where you could hide all the status and toolbars and where you just cannot get into menu without separate button. Besides it's always better to have one familiar key than to look for GUI shortcut in each app.
To switch between apps - long press on Home key. It's not so frequently used feature to have a special button for that. IMHO.
Anyway, does anyone know anything about some solution?
