When viewing a web page on the Evo and clicking the SMS link, the To: field is not being populated correctly in the Messaging app. The SMS links will open the Messaging app correctly, but will not populate the to field. This issue affects the normal HTC browser and Messaging app, I have not tried a 3rd party app like Handcent or Chomp.
I have tried the following link styles, and none of them populate that field correctly:
Code:
Test Link
Test Link
Test Link
Has anyone else come across this problem when clicking on a SMS link?
*bump*
Has anyone seen this issue? It appears to be a system issue, since SMS messages sent through Google Voice also omit the To field when clicking the link.

I have disabled HTC messaging and would like to create a shortcut link directly to text messaging. However, the only direct way to get to text messages that I can see is via the email application. Does anyone know a direct link to the actual WM text messaging application or is there a cab to create one?
Cheers.
How about this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1532989#post1532989
After the Froyo upgrade several of my email messages contained random text *after* sending. In some the text was randomly changed, and in another a formerly deleted email was included as the message instead of the text I typed in. In all, the signature lines were changed to the default... and not my customized signature.
Using Swype for text input, and stock email program.
The emails looked fine on-screen, then were modified after sending. Checking the sent folder, I can see the random or modified content and not what I originally typed.
Anyone else seeing this? Any thoughts on the cause? Thanks
Update: this continues to happen. Anyone know how to clear out the storage for the stock email application?
I'm now testing the K-9 mail application to see if it does the same thing.
When looking at an individual text inside a thread on some of the longer messages it will have "..." in the middle of the message and I'll have to pinch-to-resize the message text to see what it said. It's incredibly annoying because I communicate almost solely via MMS/SMS E-mail during the work-day and it seems this has to be a wide-spread issue.
Anyone else have this issue or have a fix? :fingers-crossed:
Anyone found a messaging (sms) app that shows messages on the second screen like the stock LG Messages app? I've tried so many, havent found one yet.
When I add another sms application to my Samsung S8 plus the messages I have sent do not appear in the new sms app. I only see the messages I received and I have gone in and made the new sms application the default app. I have tried using Google and Textra for sms with same results. Odd issue but I saw someone else posting about this on a different forum.
Anyone know why the messages I have sent are not showing up when trying to use a different sms application?
