HTC HD2 Video problem - HD2 General

Dear All,
I am using HTC HD2, but if I use High quality MP4 videos(downloaded to memory) it is not working in Core player, Windows media player, TCPMP etc and the error shows "Video codec (AVC aka H.264) not supported by the player! (0109). Kindly give me a solution for the same.
Regds,
A.Sekhar

Have you tried any other media formats?
Have you tried playing them on another device like your PC?

Media Player Codecs

I have a large number of movies converted to play on my Sharp 903 (SD Video format).
In order to watch them with sound,on the PC, in media player I had to add a codec (SHARP G.726).
I have loaded a few onto the O2 xda mini s and they look fantastic, but no sound as could be expected.
I have added the codec but it will not recognise it.
Any tips on adding codecs to the media player please.
Thanks in advance.
Have you tried using TCPMP player? It plays many more file types and on TCPMP's web site they have extra codec to use if needed.
Thanks for the info.
I have not got into adding other programs yet and for this perpose I would be happy with the bundled media player if I knew how to add a codec. I had no problems on the PC.
Any tips on how to add codecs to media player?

How to play recorded videos on computer?

Hey guys, did a search and couldn't find anything, I am trying to play a video I recorded on my Hermes running WM6 on my computer, I get video, but no sound, anyone know what codec I need?
Try VLC media player
Presumably the video files are .MP4 from your Hermes??
Have a look at VLC media player - a freeware media player available for multiple platforms. Get it from HERE.
Post back if it works, then other users can benefit too
Cheers,
Mark.
The video plays fine on VLC as well as Windows Media player 11 and Media Player classic, but I get no sound.

Divx Player Mobile: No Sound

Hi,
I've installed divx player mobile. When I play a movie file I do'nt have any sound, just the picture. The audio codec is
mpeg 1 or 2 Audio layer 3 (mp3)
channels: 2
sample rate: 48.000 Hz
Bitrate 124 kbps
Is this audio codec not supported? Is there a way to install different codecs? Is there a better video player for divx/xvid files?
Thank you for your help.
use CorePlayer
Coreplayer seems to be an great application. But it costs $30. Is there any freeware? Or is there a way to get divx player to work?

Same problem
Hello,
i have the same problem with my girlfriend HTC Touch 3g. Any soulution, to play sounds with DivX Mobile Player?
Thanks gingo
no codec
I have the coreplayer, and when I try to play the .avi file it gives me an error box saying that it needs an AC-3 codec wich is not supported by the player(the same happens in DivX). Is there a way to download the codec, or do you guys recommend another player?
Hallo, I have the same problem with divx player on my HD2. No sound when playing avi files. I have TCPMP installed on there is error: Unexpected program failure. Please send "crash.txt" to the developers. Programm will now exit.
I don't know what to do now.
Previously I had Samsung I780 with WM 6.5 Pro and divix player was working fine. What can be wrobg with this one. The same software as my previous phone but not working.

video playback - wmv files, I'm lost

ok guys n gals, I've got some training cbt's that I'm trying to watch on my HD. I can get the sound no problem but I can't get the video to play.
I can watch these on the PC no problem running on WMP v11.
Now so far I've tried to view them on the HTC player, WMP CDivx Player, TCPMP and Coreplayer all do the same. Sound no video.
The only difference is with the Coreplayer throws an error video codec (wmv 9 screen) not supported by the player.
I've tried using the MP4ForHD found here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=478050
to convert these but that software shows video: no video
So I'm now totally confused and being totally thick here , can anyone help or point me in the right direction
cheers
You can try re encoding using "Pocket DivX Encoder" or "Lathe". But it is strange that it works on your computers windows media player and not the mobile.
Which version of the Coreplayer do you have?

Media player help

Hi
im trying to play some video files (divx, xvid) on my touch diamond
ive tried core player but i only get audio and no picture,
do i need to install codecs or something?
I'm sure there are better answers but I gave up on the built in one and got tcpmp. Its free because its discontinued but it plays my files in general.
