I scheduled 10:00pm to turn on airplane mode daily.
I found that when time arrived, airplane mode didn't turn on.
I noticed myself, I used Advanced Task Manager(ATM) to kill and autokill apps
Should I exclude timeriffic app or some kind of services in ATM ?
Timeriffic works perfectly in my i9000.
BTW, I don't use any task killers.

Any one know of a program that can automatically turn off my internet, location settings from set times??
The reason I ask is because in the night I don't need weather updates, emails or the phone to be stay connected (t-mobile UK) and so I manually turn it off. Thus it will save a lot of battery and will not interrupt my sleep
If there was a program that could turn off at say 1am and then on again at 9am that would be perfect.
Is this possible or am I clutching at straws??
There's a simple solution of switching on Airplane mode in the Comm Manager before you go to bed and back on in the morning. That's all I do. Not sure if there's a program to do it automatically, but this way only takes a couple of seconds each day.
Hope I've helped!
Theres an app called GAlarm (it cost 4.99 euros i think but you can download trial) which when you set your alarm at night you can turn airplane mode on and when you turn the alarm off in the morning it will automatically turn the airplane mode off.
Thanks for the suggestion guys.
The problem with that is that I didn't want to put it into airplane mode just in case someone calls my late at night, some sort of emergency???
But sometimes I get emails late at night (because of people in different time zones) and so I wouldn't like to be woken by that. A phone call I wouldnt mind.
You have to install GProfile. I think it's free. Ask Google (xor bing ).
SBSH do PhoneWeaver and SPB software do Phone Suite both of which can do all you ask (and more)
This is getting frustrating, my dell streak with streakdroid 1.9.0 randomly decides to stop sleeping. I mean the screen is off but in spare parts it shows that its 99% without sleep. I researched everywhere for the last month to come up with a solution before posting but the issue still exists. I cannot figure out what is causing it.
Some things I have tried that didn't fix the problem:
Set network time on manual
Uncheck backup my data from privacy settings and auto-sync and background data from accounts settings
Killed apps with task killer
Removed apps
Removed task killer
Tried overclockwidget
Set phone in airplane mode
Turned off wifi, 3G, GPS
I monitored BetterBatteryStats but cannot figure out if something is wrong

Do you think there is a difference between using the juice defender app and turning in the setting that says keep wifi on while sleeping:never ??
As in do you think one is better than the other ? Does one save more battery life than the other? etc
Don't use juice defender. The more crap you have running (software wise) the worse the battery. period.
Except that the wifi setting to turn off never works, or sporadically works. Try it yourself, set it to turn off and then check its IP every so often with pings, it'll respond.
I don't use JD, but I currently use Green Power, but I'm just going to go back to doing it in Tasker as I don't need it to sync periodically. As said, one less app that way, since I'm already running Tasker.

I tried using tasker and I couldn't figure it out
Check out the free app called llama. I have it set to turn on airplane mode when the screen is off for 5 minutes and disable it when the screen turns on.

I'll type out what I have. It turns off wifi if it's on, turns it on if it was on when going off. ie: If you have wifi off intentionally, it won't turn it back on. I also have it NOT turn off wifi if it's plugged in, listed as optional below.
Note that the %WIFI variable you can either type it in (all caps) or use the button to list all variables, it'll be at the end, Wifi Status.
If you still can't get it, I can export them.. heh.
To turn wifi off:
Add profile, set it for State->Display->Display State is off, and optionally, long-press on the Display Off you just created and click Add and select State->Power->Power->Any
Add Task, name it Wifi Off or whatever
Stop - if %WIFI (matches) off
Variable Set - %wifiStatus to %WIFI
If - %wifiStatus (matches) on
...Wifi - Set Off
End If
To turn wifi back on:
Add profile, set it for State->Display->Display State is on
Add task, name it Wifi On or whatever
Stop - if %WIFI (matches) on
If - %wifiStatus (matches) on
...Flash - Turning Wifi on...
...Wifi - Set On
Else
...Flash - Leaving wifi off..
End If
Kind of hard to explain what I want, but when I'm outside using my phone, and then come inside the house I want to keep the wifi on, but turn off the cell antenna to save battery (I find with just wifi on, the battery lasts a long time). I know I can do this by checking airplane mode, but then that turns off wifi, and I have to re-enable wifi, sort of a 3-4 key stroke that I'm wondering if I can do in one?
I've tried power toggles, but couldn't see the option for what I want to do with it.
You could use an app like Tasker, or Automateit (<---has free and paid version). You could have it execute a task when you enable AP mode that turns wifi back on. You can get pretty creative with the tasks as well. I haven't set it back up on my N4, but on my previous phone my need to enable/disable anything was nearly eliminated.
Thanks CMNein, I'll have a look at Tasker.
NFC tags.... I use Samsung Tectiles
You can Program a tag to go into airplane mode and turn wifi on

See if Plane Mode Tweaker works for the Nexus 4. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wordpress.chislonchow.airplanemodetweak
It allows you to configure airplane mode so it won't disable wifi automatically. Also allows you to use bluetooth in airplane mode if it's locked.
I've read that apps to control airplane mode don't work, at least with the stock firmware.

I'm still using an HTC Sensation, but I've got a battery of apps to automate turning airplane mode and wifi on when at home, and back off when away.

I am trying to run a bike ride tracking app, but every time I go out, the GPS turns off about 4-5 minutes into the ride. I am using both Strava and Runtastic Road Bike Pro and both do the same thing. I am using GPS Keeper Pro to keep the GPS signal on. I have Greenify with Aggressive Doze and Doze on the Go running. I have whitelisted Strava, Runtastic, GPS Keeper, and Location Services. I don't see any others that would be any use to whitelist.
I have checked using the Debloater software to see what else looks like it could be a gps app. I found com.qualcom.location.apk but can't see it as something that can be whitelisted unless it is Location Services which are already whitelisted.
Any ideas? I guess I could just turn off Doze on the Go when I go out and see how that works but would rather not have to mess with it.
Thanks
