Can't upgrade to WWE from German P4350

Hi all!
I just got my HTC P4350 today (I bought it in Germany). It is a HTC band, not any O2, T-mobile or Vodaphone. However, it has a German OS came along (WM5 as written on the case).
I checked the forums and found this:

Downloaded the last WEE Rom and tried to upgrade, but I got the error message which says:
ERROR [294] : INVALID VENDOR ID
This Update Utility cannot be used for your PDA Phone. Please check your Upgrade Utility.
HUEbc669-HFTD55670-HUEbc568-HFTD55670
Then click "Exit" to quit.
Could anyone tell me if it's possible to change my OS to English? And if yes, how can I do it?

I checked about 20 topics before posting mine, and couldnt find the information I need.
I dont know much about these PDA, either browse the forums too often as you can see. But thanks anyway for your kindness. I will try to look for more topics.

perhaps you search for:
CID-unlock
RUU
WM6 roms
etc.
all discussed many times.
BUT: you cannot flash a german Herald with an english rom without unlocking.
Herefor you can use imei.check.uk - but it cost.

i paid at imei.check.uk and received unlock instruction in 3 minutes , later i flash with programs from wiki site

I have similar problems with a German Vodafone device.
Does anybody have any experience with MyLanguage (http://www.mylanguage.mobi)? As far as I can tell this would be sufficient for me to have an English speaking Herald.

LOST, lost, need real help!!!

Guys, got a 4350 in Dutch and I want to have this toy in english.
Download a lot o S*** and nothing work, can some point me to the right place and help me out.
installed the mylanguage, but these guys did not send me any code... lost very lost

You can try installing an english rom from here :
Available Original Shipped ROM Versions
But I suggest that you have your original RUU from your carrier before in case you brick your phone.

They sugested to buy a NEW one in Eng, and that is not the solution!!!!
If is the solution why exist this forum?

The answer to your question is remarkably simple; a search thru the different forums would have answered your question. But we're not to lame the help you on your way
You can find all original RUU, including the WWE edition, in these forum and the wikipage. If you flash this WWE edition RUU version to you p3450 you have the english toy. Since your flashing, you might try the Touch-It version. The same OS but enhanced and slimmed down to make it more userfriendly.
One warning before you start flashing; make sure you have read enough to be sure you know what you're doingand you don't brick your phone.
If you have a "vendor-id" error; you will first have to unlock your CID lock. Chech the Mobile 6 subforum and look for a post by canonyang_China on how to flash without CID-unlock

It makes me mad when people who misunderstood what they have to do.
or did the things wrong.always like others come out and said:"no,nothing work!"
I just want to say:
is you not work? or is the damn thing not work?
learn more and try more before you give up.

Someone correct me if i'm wrong, but couldnt he have flashed his original rom, used the aserg method and reflashed something like touch it in order to get it into english?

I do agree with u 100% although i did not have more patient and time to spend on this issue, please accept my appoligies for sure i made something wrong and did not work with my "old" toy, at the moment i have the new one, is working as it is suposted, i'm happy and move on.

Can i make my G4 Dutch 6915 English with this?
I read in another topic a user had issues trying to convert his dutch phone to englsih. I don't think he used this rom-update though.
Is this an official hp rom? or a custom made package?

It's not really about the language that i want the english rom, i want it, because the dutch rom just is very slow. It seems the UK rom has better performance. (lots of discussion about this in dutch forums also).
But i'm not really known with the tools i should use to create a proper backup of my hw6915.
Should i use awizard? or mtty 1.4 in bootloader mode? (those were the two main options i read about in the forum here).
A little help to get me in the good direction would be appreciated.

Absolutely this is english WM5.0 rom,but u gotta make sure ur device is G4(G3.9),otherwise u can't upgrade ur device version with this which I provided.

And has my device have to be unlocked?
I have 2 hp 6915 phones, 1 unlocked, and the other Vodafone branded. would like to have the locked one to be unlocked. How do I manage that?

Bought french HD2. Help please!

I bought a HD2 from duty free Paris without paying attention it has the french stock ROM
Is there anyway I can install a cab or anything helpful to switch the language to English ?

Yeah thanks but I think I cannot use the other shipped ROMs without HSPL. Correct me if I am wrong.

Since there's no Soft/Hard SPL for HD2 yet you won't be able to just flash a different language ROM.
What you could try in the mean time, is have a look here:

Unfortunately, this is a workaround only for Manila and not the entire OS. I really feel sad as I've read somewhere that cracking the SPL is becoming harder and harder and still not sure if it is going to happen anytime soon. I doubt that even HTC support will care.

Theres not much you can do then as im pretty sure the Roms language cant be changed without flashing a different Rom, which yo ucant do without HardSPL.
Hopefully HardSPL can be done soon but I havent heard much news on it for a while.

I know, we havent had any update recently, the reason why I am afraid that HSPL will not show up anytime soon. If only we can manage to get some good news from Olinex...

I'm from Belgium and if you are not to far away in Germany, I don't mind too to change it with yours!

I still wonder what is the 3rd party application they are referring to.
Any clue ?

i think they are just saying that you can install different apps like spb shell that will be in english... i dont think that they are refereeing to some kind of application that can translate the entire rom.
guess we have to wait for hardspl or until QMAT 5.07 and create a goldcard...

The windows mobile arabizer can translate all the OS menus to Arabic language.
I am not sure why such thing is not yet available for English users. The cab is like 5MBs.

Hello there! im new here in the forum and i have some problems with my qtek 9000...
Let's start, but lemme tell u something, i am totally NOOB in these things so u gotta tell me step by step if u can
Okay, first of all my Qtek 9000, when i turn him on it appears the Qtek Keep the world in one Screen and the usb connect/disconnects all the time so i cant do nothing that uses usb port, after the Qtek screen it appears something in red:
R 1. 18. 00
G 42. 54. P8
D 2. 07. 00 WWE
And then it turns off...
I tryed to charge the ppc but if i put in charge, it turns on and off all the time
sometimes it appears the Windows Mobile screen too but it turns off again...
What can i do here, im totally confused... Please Help Me!

Have you tried to do a hard reset? (instructions in the wiki)
Check also your battery.

well i think its from the battery cuz it doesn't charge, when i put it to charge it stars to turn on/off all the time... and if i use the hard reset while in charge does the same thing, just turns on/off
and btw what are those things? with R, G and D (WWE means worldwide english right?)

I'd buy a new battery.
