No it's not bricked... it's an issue many ppl are facing with CM 5.0.5.1...
The temp fix: Enter recovery, wipe, flash CM 5.0.5, then flash CM 5.0.5.1, then flash GApps...
For another possible fix see:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5954230&postcount=4
it worked thanks
but now i have another problem
how do i add keyboard(hebrew)?

Nexus 4 went tits up

Hoping someone can help here. Here is the background:
Was running CarbonRom (10/26 nightly I believe). I was just browsing the web on my phone, and it hung. It rebooted, and was stuck on the boot screen.
- Tried reflashing CarbonRom. Result - stuck on boot screen.
- Tried a restoring backup. Result - stuck on "Android is upgrading. Starting apps."
- Tried restoring to factory 4.3 via fastboot. Result - stuck on boot screen.
- Tried restoring to factory 4.2.2 via fastboot. Result - I was able to boot into the ROM, but I am unable to get my cell/data to work. The sim card is fine (I have it another phone right now), and I manually added APN, with no luck.
- After 4.2.2 was installed, it did an OTA update via WiFi. Result - stuck on "Android is upgrading. Starting apps."
I'm at a loss here, and tried multiple times with the same result. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Cheers

Did you try installing factory Image with
- bootloader Flash
- recovery Flash
- boot Flash
- System Flash
- userdata Flash
- Cache Flash
?

The only thing I tried was extracting occam-jwr66y-factory-74b1deab.tgz and ran flash-all.bat in fastboot.

Wipe cache and dalvik after flashing all. Step-by-step is unnecessary.

I followed this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=34552123&postcount=1, and it still gets stuck on the boot screen.

I flashed cwm via fastboot, then wiped cache and dalvik, and I'm still stuck on the boot screen.

[BROKEN?] bootloop every reboot :(

Hi!
I am getting crazy because I cannot understand the reason about this weird behavior.
This morning I got stuck in bootloop (rom pure nexus).
I tried a dirty flash but it didn't work so I made a data factory reset and flashed it again. I had some weird stuff like Bluetooth errors and so on. I restarted the phone and again I got stuck in bootloop.
So I flashed different rom by USB OTG (e.g. Bliss Rom, BEnzo Rom) and the problems are more or less the same: I flash the rom, I boot the rom and I get weird errors (e.g., I cannot use Titanium Backup) and if I restart the phone I got stuck in bootloop.
What is going on? Is it possible I have problem with the internal SD Card?
Thank you
sounds like your system is fcucked currenty. should probably boot to fastboot and flash the image:
system
bootloader
vendor
radio
kernel
Try booting up after that.

When flashing these ROMs are you wiping properly (system, data, cache, dalvik cache) first? You should try going back to stock, but you'll need to do more than the previous person who replied has said. First you need to wipe data in TWRP, then you need to flash the full factory images, not just the ones mentioned above. You'll find instructions for that in my guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/general/guides-how-to-guides-beginners-t3206928
After these steps it seems working.
boot to fastboot and flash the image:
system
bootloader
vendor
radio
kernel
It's very strange though..
I had that problem today. I traced it down to my wifi. Turning off wifi allowed me to boot with no further issues.
1) Boot loop as soon as I got to work.
2) Dirty flashed the ROM
3) Restored backup from 4 days ago.
4) Wiped system and reflashed ROM and gapps. Same issue.
Finally chased it to the wifi. The instant it connected, bootloop. I ran and app called FXR Wifi fixer. Ill see if it bootloops tomorrow at work. No problems on my home wifi after all of this.

i wouldn't consider this to be strange really. something was not correct in the system partition probably. pretty standard when flashing different ROMs

E1001/Error 7 Failed to update system image

Hi guys,
so I am running into a strange issue: I can't flash any ROMs in recovery anymore.
I switched to Pixel Experience Q from xiaomi.eu's MIUI ROM ~1 week ago without wiping internal storage, so I ended up not being able to use TWRP as I was faced with a password prompt that accepted none of my passwords (current, previous or default_password, etc.). So when an update for PE came I thought "okay let's get this over with now" and did a complete wipe including /data/media from OrangeFox recovery - so far so good.
Now I transferred back the new ROM zip and wanted to proceed flashing it.
Result: Error 7 Failed to update system image (E1001)
Confused by this I went back to the previous version's zip, but the same error comes up.
Even more confused I downloaded all kinds of ROMs and every single one comes up with this error.
I tried
another full wipe
mounting/unmounting system before flashing
MIUI, Android 10, Android 9 ROMs
Different versions of TWRP and OFR
Even different firmware packages
Removed assert and abort lines in the updater-script (which results in skipping the flashing of the system image and then failing at vendor)
Flashing by adb sideload
So the only thing getting me back to a working phone is flashing a fastboot ROM. That works.
Even after doing that, flashing back TWRP/OrangeFox, wiping and flashing a ROM the same error comes up again. I also checked the MD5 hash for my files. They are fine.
I am at a loss of ideas at this point and no solution I found helped. I hope you guys can help me. Thanks in advance. :-/
Well, scratch that, I guess.
After hours of troubleshooting somehow it's working again now.
So for anyone who gets this issue:
Flash a fastboot ROM and...go to sleep and try in the morning.
I'm facing the same problem now.. I think after trying many times its a flash problem, because when I flash over fastboot sometimes stick on 5/7 and others 3/7 etc.. well its a xiaomi is something to expect.
Format Data partition, not just wipe, this should fix those kind of issues.
This.
After more xiaomi devices and more flashing I can definitely say this is the fix.

Try transferring the ROM using a USB 3.0 port. Worked for me...
I am facing the same problem. Can you help me?
