Zeam launcher

So i got one phone with stock ruu on it and been looking at ways to customize it. I tried a couple different launchers and somehow managed to overlook this one. It's called zeam it's pretty bad ass it's light weight and fast with both the left and right buttons both customizable. It has the ability to have up to nine screens and still move fast. of course my favorite function landscape mode that actually turns in less than a thirty minute wait like some other launchers. I know I sound like an ad but I'm in no way affiliated with these guys. It's downloadable from the market and here's the xda page

Doods, I've been talking about this launcher for weeks! It's like I'm not even here...
I tease! Seriously, this is my favorite launcher bar none. AND it plays very nice w/ jit and oc.

Bro I know the feeling. I was working with this dev on rooting the phones and he was having me try stuff that I had posted eventually I was like dude you should really check out some of my posts

great damn launcher !!
but i wish i could have my clock weather set up like in normal Sense UI
the beautiful widgets 2.36 has line thou it in 2.1 :/ and looks like crap

Yes. Thats right the (growing in popularity) (looks like froyo) homereplacment launcher is finally in market, i tried it one day and now i have replaced it with helix as my main daily use home screen. Try it out you wont be dissapointed!

I still like LauncherPro better, way better. My opinion.

I like it, but I miss the pitch zoom thing I have in launcher pro beta. Add that to this launcher and I would use it

is it the FroYo launcher that has the icons "fly-in" on the app tray? Or is that Cyanogen? Either way, thats a wicked effect on Droid roms.

/Couldn't get ADW working so never had the chance to play with it before today

It runs extremely laggy on my hero. First launcher ive had problems with

Personally I don't like it...I like the fly-in on the app drawer, but thats the extent of it.

Love it...Only thing I dont like is there are SOOO many settings haha hopefully I will learn them.

Well you do know you can customize them, right? Hes also working on adding an option to disable those shortcuts, if you dont want them. Atleast LauncherPro is only titled a Beta

Dam launcher is awesome too (hadent used it before). Icons are definitely the worst part of this launcher, ADW wins in that category. But this is alot smoother so far.

Haha nice. Yeah That was recently added to edit them. I'm excited because it is, imo a LOT smoother, and only a beta, so the possibilities are endless. (ok not so much, but you get the idea. xD )

Is anyone have using better cut with this launcher...when ever i try to add an icon shortcut is just goes to the default home screen..i tried setting them there also to see if it would copy over to adw but it doesn't.

Is there a setting to dock 4 apps? I thought one of the screenshots had room for 4, I haven't palyed around with it that much yet, but if it only allows 2 apps in the dock I might have to stick with LauncherPro. Still an awesome launcher though, I'll have to keep it around and play with the settings.

You can slide the launcher down/up(cant remember) and there is room for 4 shortcuts.

[THEME] Honeycomb Theme

I looked around and basically just couldn't find a good honeycomb theme anywhere from what I saw so I decided to take matters into my own hands...I do like honeybread for CM7...but it was just not exactly what I was looking for. So I'm running on the ADW Launcher EX so anyone can have the exact same setup with no problems at all. The Apps+ icon in the top right I made with the SiMi Folder widget with a custom pic icon...the clock in the bottom right is the One More Clock widget from the market. My messenger/calendar/gmail widgets are all from the Pure Messenger and Pure Calendar widgets from the market. The bottom left icon I made with desktop visualizer and just have it linked to my current browser. The analog clock is obviously the Honeycomb clock FREE from the market. If you go into the ADW settings you just change the screen transition effect to Effect 1 to get the nice honeycomb like scrolling effect. I have gestures setup so when you swipe up on the home screen it pulls up the app drawer and if you swipe down it pulls down the notification bar...this way I can still use them w/o it ruining the honeycomb look. I also added the circle batter widget into the mix in the bottom left. My home screen is setup for constant landscape orientation and 10 wide by 7 high icon space...this was made this way just to make the icons and stuff where I wanted them too. You can't really use all of this space because the widgets overlap and it just makes it a pain so I don't recommend it. The other thing you have to do is download the free honeycomb theme on the market for adw...this is just to get the google widget that I am using. Also you'll want to download the honeycomb wallpapers app from the market...this is where I got my wallpaper from cuz it just looks the best in landscape...the one that comes with the theme just isn't that good if you ask me...both apps are made by the same developer. Anyways...here are some pics...I'm running this on my OG Droid with the MIUI ROM on it...hope you all enjoy. Just click on the pictures to look at them bigger and get a better idea of how it looks...I added them to this originally with them already full but the preview was cutting off the right side of the pictures and I just didn't want to chance it...please tell me what you think.

yes exactly....sorry for how messy it all was...lol...i added a list of all of the apps..their developer...and how much they cost...i can't add links cuz i don't have enough posts...all you have to do is find the right sizing of all of the widgets...most of them i have set to 1x1
I also went ahead and added the 2 custom icons that i made for this...you can use them if you want or pull others from the net

Thank you very much the good thing is this is just really a collection of apps that i've brought together...so any android device can have this exact same setup

yeah it's a setting in ADW...i'm not sure what other launchers options are though...it's possible other launchers let you do this as well

Bored of the usual "desktop"

Hey guys.
Anyone have any ideas for something different for the desktop?
I'm kind of bored of the usual weather at the top and the apps ect underneath.
I was thinking of the Windows mobile style launcher, but it's just tiles with what ever you want lol.
Anyone got some ideas for a change?

There is already a Windows Phone 7 style launcher called "Launcher7" however I believe it's just a concept - it looks OK but not great.
If you're looking for a cool launcher that's customisable, I recommend Go Launcher EX, it's the nicest one I've tried (I prefer it to LauncherPRO). However, personally I'm fine with the Touchwiz launcher.
If you want to do some cool stuff with your widgets, maybe have RSS newsfeeds of your favorite sites? For that I'd recommend a widget called "Pulse".

Yea I usually gey bored that's why I rooted my phone to cm7. I saw they came out with open home 6 u might wanna check it out

You could try regina launcher for something a little bit different from the norm or another one which is called circle launcher i believe.

While i haven't used it on the SGSII, only my atrix, SPB shell 3d was pretty sick. VERY fast. But still kind of the same setup

Circle launcher looks interesting.

Oh i like circle launcher.

i cant believe nobody mentioned SPB Shell 3D. just watch some videos on that and be blown away if you want something "new" and different on your android device.

Couple of positives, nova launcher installed and faster unlocking

Finally put nova launcher on, cannot stand that white mess at the bottom of my screen with the pixel launcher when using anything other than a black wallpaper, i mean what the hell was Google thinking with that awful looking feature, i really have no idea, either way glad I did cause now been able to get rid of that unsightly long Google search bar as well, and don't know if I'm imagining it but now since I've switched to the nova launcher and have ambient display disabled the phone is unlocking faster to screen on without the Google launcher ? so seems it's not just the ambient display issue but also seems to be the pixel launcher is lagging, go figure but it's faster for me, hip hooray.

Funny, I just switched to Nova Launcher yesterday. I don't care for the search bar either. I am looking for the APK that will allow Google Feed to work with it.
But I don't think the phone unlocks any faster than with the stock launcher. Each phone, like each person, is unique so I don't doubt that you see unlock speed gains.
But yeah, I don't now why I waited so long to switch to Nova. It rocks!

Yeah I don't know why I didn't do it sooner, my home screen is so much cleaner and can have light wallpapers haha, I'm not sure if it's me but it does feel a bit quicker, could be in my head.

Thanks this worked, it's one of the reasons i didn't want a different launcher but with the wahed out crap at the bottom and the ugly search bar, this now works with a swipe to the left cheers.
Also just to add i am certain the phone is now unlocking faster with nova installed and ambient display disabled, it's win win all round.

i love nova, but the only reason i stick with the pixel launcher is because google can query the google weather API more reliably and frequently than third parties (like Nova) can, so the weather display is more accurate on google's pixel launcher

No No... Not just tried, just switched. I have used Nova for years but I got placement with the Pixel 2 XL.

I use pixel launcher modded. Has an option to get rid of the white :good:

And does the modified launcher get rid of that ugly search bar ?

The search bar is not hideable with that rootless pixel launcher unfortunately and there's no mention of removing the white cloud at the bottom of the screen.... here's my nova setup, so much more room on the home screen.

I'm using Yo window weather app from the play store, was recommended to geoweather but it's crap, kept coming up with cannot connect to server for weather data stupid error, however this yo window has great reviews and works fantastic it's this one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=yo.app.free
It does the job perfectly for me.

Rootless and modded pixel launcher are slightly different. The modded one has the option to remove the white

Aah right ok no problem, I'll stick with nova, works perfectly anyway and now with the companion apk it's Google now integrated.
