remove notification bar

hello
is there any way to hide the notifications bar on galaxy S i9000?
thanks
there are several apps in the market that can do that
but you will be in trouble without it
a lot of apps depends on the notification bar
if you don't have the bar, you will have no quick way to access those alerts
thanks
can you name me one app that do that?
i want to remove this while im driving with GPS to avoid the notofication bar will be stock like i had on my nexus one. this is really troble with amoled screens.
I use GDE as my Home replacement, It has an option for Fullscreen, which removes the notification bar

I do not know why you wanna hide it, but if you have launcher pro, there is an option to hide the notification bar.

Hi there...
This black notification bar somehow is ugly for this homescreen and this phone...isn't there any simple way to make it transparent or hide it without using third party application like launcher pro???
I don't think so.
Unfortunately you have to use a third party app to do this. That said, I'd love to see a mod to hide the clock, it bugs me to have one up there AND a clock widget.....
Back to topic: ADW has a hide option aswell....
I use ADWLaucher, I can hide/show the bar swiping the screen.
I use launcher pro to hide it with a swipe gesture on a dock icon to make it apear

[Q] Apex Launcher Pro On Galaxy S4

Hello. Am using the Galaxy S4 with Apex Launcher Pro on it. Love both of them pretty much. But there was this 1 thing that annoys me. Whenever I set swipe down feature to toggle my status bar / show my notifications, all the widgets on my screen will move downwards when the status bar is being toggled. It's kinda annoying seeing my widgets move out of positions. I am using 4.1.2 stock JB and the show notification bar option doesn't work. When I swipe down, it only toggles my status bar instead of bringing the whole notification bar down. Are there any apps that would enable or show my notification bar without moving the widgets? Thanks in advance.
? Don't you get the notifications bar when you swipe down from the top of the screen - I mean without down swipe enabled in Apex. Used Apex for ages and never known this not to function

I hide the notification bar. Does it work only when the notification bar is not hide? I've tried this on another phone it works and the notification is also hidden. I just swipe down with gestures and the bar expands. It happens in Nova Launcher too...

Transparent status bar and navigation bar for cyanogen running nova launcher.

As the titles says I need a way to have my navigation bar and status bar transparent on my home screen (nova launcher) and on the lockscreen. G2 Xposed transparent bars doesn't work on cyanogen. I also tried Tinted status bar and UDN light to no avail. Does anyone have a good app or zip I can flash that will do this for me?
Thanks.
I was able to get transparent nav bar and status bar on my Verizon G2 w/ CM 10.2 using Gravity Box Xposed module (Google it), while using Nova. Weirdly though, the nav bar transparency stopped working after a few days but status bar still works. I tried literally everything but no luck getting it to work again on nav bar. I think between CM and other Xposed apps i have, there are just some incompatibilities.
Also, I would suggest only turning it on for home screen, not lock screen because it looks weird on lock. And when you try the nav bar setting, put the transparency at only 50%. For status bar, you can do 100% though. Give it a try.

As just4747 said, GravityBox is probably your best bet, though i will say it is far from flawless. If you have your status bar set to 100% transparency, and your Nova Launcher drawer set to anything in between completely opaque and 100% transparent, the status bar will still be completely transparent. Though it does work with the Nexus 5/Kitkat/Experience launcher. And for me, making the nav bar transparent, I am only able to see my wallpaper going through half of the nav bar. But again, GravityBox is one of the best out there, so go for it! :fingers-crossed:
EDIT: Sooo, just after posting this, I updated my GravityBox (The other install was only a few days old), and guess what, the issues were fixed. Now it works perfectly with Nova Launcher. I'm currently using it, and I'm enjoying it, a lot! Though i will recommend buying GMD Auto Hide Soft Keys, you know, to get more screen space, and avoid the annoying transparency glitches that occur occasionally.
cyanogen mod 10.2( i have the same problem)
i m using xposed framework. the transparent status bar works fine on the lockscreen but dosent on the homescreen
i m on cyanogenmod 10.2(4.3.1) samsung s3 i9300

[Q] Wallpaper size issue,

Hi,
I have recently installed 4.4.2 and my launcher is Go Launcher Ex,
The problem is with the wallpaper which is goes all the way under the screen keys and notification bar,
Since it’s a white wallpaper it makes the status bar almost invisible,
This didn’t happen to me on 4.2.2 where the status bar remains with black background,
Does anyone knows how to change this?
Thanks,
Ok , I guess this was quick…
I have managed to resolve this by going into Go Launcher “common settings” then remove the checkbox from “3D Core(Beta)”
Thanks,
This is an attempt to mimic the behavior found in the Google Experience Launcher. To make the nav bar see through. Since this is the behavior most Launchers are working toward, it might be a better idea not to use white wallpapers. Who knows when it won't be a switch anymore.

rooted HDX 7 - apex launcher

Rooted and working well. Unable to hide the bottom navigation bar using end apex launcher. When using the default Amazon launcher, the bottom bar fades after a second of non use. Not the same with apex. prevents a full screen experience.
Anyone having a similar problem?

You mean the bar still persists even in apps? Or just when you're in the home screen of the launcher?

I'm using Apex aswell. Download GMDAutohide Softkeys from the playstore. And run the program with start on boot enabled (I'd probably buy the 'Pro Version' otherwise the navigation bar has a red line showing). Then under apex settings you can turn the notification bar off. That's how I got mine to look like this:

Only happens on the home screen.
