Annoying Wifi Issue

Hi my wifi comes on and works but keeps going off while still showing that I have full signal then coming back on again. Any suggestions on how I can sort this problem out would be much appreciated as it is very annoying.

I just swapped out my TalkTalk supplied Hwawei 520b, as I was experiencing the same issue. I now have a Cisco / Linksys WAG120N and it works faultlessly, and I get a faster DSL sync speed to boot (up from about 5.2mbps to 7.6mbps!)

Yee, the router I had before was a linksys cisco and it worked fine with that. Must b this crappy modem then: (

Lost 3G Connection

This morning i found that my 3G connection was gone. It wasn't my operator, because when I restarted the SGS I got back connection.
Anyone else experienced the same?

If I turn off APN to use exclusively Wifi connection then I need to reboot the phone to return back to 3G connection.

Ok, wifi connects sometimes, usually not for long. Ftp's will not work
What I've tried:
Reset router
Change connect encryptions
Different apps for ftp
Different programs for ftp
Reboot everything
Nothing seems to work
Any ideas?

Im not sure what all that mess is but what works for me is barnacle wifi tether. Just check the 'skip wpa supplicant' in settings and you're good to go.

assuming you are talking about connecting to a Wi-Fi network... have you tried flashing one of the other CM 6 based ROMs to see if the problem persists? the basic CM 6 is the only one I haven't tried... I know the Wi-Fi works fine for me on both of the TeamFenix ROMs and has worked on all the PrOdigal_Sun ROMs I have tried both at the house and on the road.

Auto 4g connection

Is anyone aware of a flash or setting which will make the phone connect automatically to
4g once it discinnects.
Issue I am.having is once the phone looses 4g signal I have to manually click on connect to 4g .

[Q] Wifi Issues?

After reading a bit it's seems to be a common issue on ICS and later. My device occasionally looses it's wifi connection, at which point I have to go to settings and turn the wifi off and on. Is there a better solution to this problem? My router is using WPA2-PSK and is on channel 7.

Wifi seems to stay on fine here, but I cannot connect to 5ghz, only 2.4ghz. Not sure if this is an issue or if the Wifi chip only supports 2.4 ghz.

it doesnt connect to 5ghz, unless theres a trick to it??? but use wifi analyzer and look for the strongest channel on ur wifi router to fix ur problem

Yea I'm having trouble as well. I have a telus smart hub at home and it is super slow. Then when I use my hotspot on my Gnex from rogers, it runs fine, although this app takes awhile to load.
Tried playing with the settings, only think I couldn't find was the 5ghz and 2ghz.
Try some more playing tomorrow and look for different routers

Can I ask someone with nexus 7 to check if it connects with wifi AD-HOC network without problems?
I use my old LG gt540 as a 3g modem + wifi router, but it works only with ad-hoc. For example my HTC Sensation can't connect to such a network.
