hello i want hard reset mt pocket pc please give my the step and thnx
"pocket pc" XD
Settings > Privacy Settings > Factory Data Reset - That's for FroYo, I think it's different for earlier versions, just poke around for "factory reset".
Also if you're rooted and have a custom recovery image, it's best to use the wipe option in recovery, then, if available wipe cache and dalkiv cache.
Just for fun..
Just for Fun lol..

I have never rooted or modified my Atrix, bit I have been having some problems with a couple of apps lately, and I wanted to totally wipe my phone and start from scratch.
I went to "factory data reset" and performed a reset, but when it came back there were a few apps remaining that I had previously installed.
Is there another way to do this?
Thanks for your help.

You could always do a SBF Flash. Search the forum for the links and how-tos
aside from the factory reset i suggest formatting the internal
settings > sdcard and phone storage settings > unmount internal storage > format internal storage
your OS stays intact.
I am trying to install Dexter's ElocityMod v1.41, and running into two problems.
The easy and final problem is this: how do I know if the mod was successful or not? How can I verify that the A7 is running ElocityMod v1.41.
The confusing problem and first problem I have is this.
I power the machine up, and use the procedure ElocityMod v1.42 thread to enter the Recovery Menu
I press home and see the menu
I select Wipe/factory reset
BUT
At that point I am presented with the following:
Android system recover <1e>
Confirm wipe of all user data?
THIS CAN NOT BE UNDONE.
No

Yes -- delete all user data

E:recovery.c Can't open /cache/recovery/command
Formatting MISC:...

So this confuses me. I have a few questions.
Do I want to wipe the user data? What will I lose by doing so?
I can move up and down selecting each list item. Do I want to press MENU and wipe each one?
Or do I want to wipe only the first item?
Or do I want to wipe only the user data?
And what is that stuff at the bottom about can't open a cache recovery command and formatting MISC:?
And finally, is the Elocity A7 easy to brick, or hard to brick and easy to recover from?
Thanks so much
Jerry
What I did when flashing was wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, and then apply sdcard:update.zip. I did the same thing for 1.41, 1.42 and the xbox controller patch. Wiping should erase all data and programs on your tablet. I am not sure how hard it is to brick this tablet but as long as the files you download from that thread don't get corrupted in the download process you should be fine. And even then I think you should easily be able to just turn it off and get back into recovery to flash again.
Thanks, I deleted the user / data partition, and actually did not apply the update (accidentally) and just rebooted to find that the tablet booted up just fine, looking reinitialized to factory defaults.
So I tried again, and this time applied the update, and it worked just fine.
And success seems to be self-evident, in this case, coming up, being asked to setup a "phone", and signing into a google account, and eventually seeing a lot more apps in the drawer, specifically including the market.
One other tip though, you can't sign into your google account until you setup a wifi channel. The tablet wants you to do it the other way around.
And just a note for google 2 step authentication users, if you do use 2 step authentication, then when signing in to an existing google account on the tablet, you do need to use a google application specific password.
yeah kind of dumb it asks for a google login when you don't even have wifi setup. you can also check the what version you have by going into settings and clicking about.
How can I fully wipe my system and everything back to the stock system like the tab is new without any thing i have done to it ??
Please help fast.
Thank you.
Are you using any custom Rom?? If not there is an option in settings to reset your tablet to Factory Settings. Settings> backup> factory data reset. That will bring your tablet back in the state were it was in when it was new.

You can follow Post 2.
I'm on a Note 3 actually, but was hoping the more populated board here would be more knowledgeable & The Samsung android recovery options should all be the same?
People said the clear cache option in recovery mode was 100% safe & will speed up your system. Did it & my phone is bricked!
I hit clear cache & then selected reboot & I got these messages
"Process system isn't responding
do you want to close it?"
Then I get several more pop ups one by one
"unfortunately, MTP app stopped
unfortunately, Media Storage has stopped
unfortunately, Settings has stopped
unfortunately, Touchwiz home has stopped
unfortunately, Google play services has stopped"
Can't boot to menu at all & it just loops there
I went back to recovery mode I have these options to choose from:
-apply update from adb
-apply update from external storage
-wipe data/factory reset
-wipe cache partition
-apply update from cache
WILL any of them fix the problem OTHER THAN WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET?

If you have a external sdcard inside phone, remove & try.

Unfortunately i think only the factory reset is your best bet in that case
Unless you've had any luck with anything else.

i dont think it was because of the clear cache option in recovery, something must have triggered the mass force close of all the apps. best bet is wether to factory reset the phone and if it still fails, flash stock firmware using odin.
Yeah, I eventually gave up & did a factor reset.
The only thing I can think of that might have cause any problems with the clear cache is I did root the phone.

Glad u got it working again with a factory reset. Stinks you had to do it but least it's back up and running
Hi, I have a number of A40 Enterprise edition (SM-A405FZKDU07) devices to look after. On one of them, which a user had locked with a pin then forgotten (and hadn't registered it on Intune properly), when I go into the recovery menu, I do not see a "Wipe Data / Factory reset" option. Does anyone know why this will be - and more importantly how to get it back please? Thanks in advance!
