in the future do yourself a huge favor and just kind of check thru the threads or type what you're looking for in google followed or preceded by the letters xda to better put the forum to use......or you will get flamed....not a threat more of a warning...it's been really touchy lately

Do not open new threads since it makes it hard to find stuff for everyone else. For the future, use this site's search function, the Wiki, Google, Yahoo, or whatever your heart feels at ease with. All in all, "Search Before You Post. And If You DO Need To Post, Do It In The Right Thread!"

hey no problem...I do understand..as many of us do...however that being said...I also can relate to "clogged forum syndrome" and noob "bottle necking"....to some people what you did amounts to walking into a building full of restrooms and immediately you ask which one is the mens room?......flaming is a way of bashing someone online for doing or not doing something that should be obvious to most....there are some who would essentially light you up for the question you posted because there is a seperate thread for wing roms and it appears you did not look for or at it before asking....still if you have never been to the thread and dont know exactly how to search how would you know?.....so take this info with a grain of salt and remember how it feels even after you've been here a while....and perhaps you'll get to explain to the next noob how it goes in the community....all good hope you found what you're seeking......

Don't follow that previous link in this thread. That was for HTC Wings, which is completely different than the T-Mobile Wing. What you want is the HTC Herald forums (Herald is the manufacturer codename for the Wing). Hope that made sense.

Dont think this is the way of communication here. As i see the amount of posts you have done. 3. i would recomend you to use the forum search at the top of the forumpage before posting comments like this.
rp-x1 has said in his post to search. Nearly all info is available.
If you are lazy you will get a lazy answer.
the forum is here to help everybody but you will have to search yourself first.
as one of the moderator states here:

Searching Fora (Forums) on XDA
If you use the search function and you can't quite find what you are looking for, use Google Search...http://www.google.com/advanced_searc...lr=&as_qdr=all to help you out.
Remember, please search first before posting on XDA. It is highly likely that your issue/problem has been mentioned before and a solution is at hand.
Enjoy your visit to XDA.

I hope someone can give me some advice, or help. Please keep in mind I'm only so tech saavy. I rooted my tablet last week...was happy how easy it was. Before I downloaded Titanium though, I deleted some apps off the tablet. Today comes this OTA update. It will download just fine, but after the tablet reboots, as it starts the install, an icon with an exclamation point comes up....and nothing. I have to manually reboot, and when it comes back up I get a small "update failure" box. Otherwise, the tablet seems to be working without a hitch. any help would be appreciated on how to fix this.
there are at least 5 different threads covering how to fix this... was another really necessary?
Just do some searching for yourself.

Thanks guys...I have to say that a lot of this is over my head, but I'm going to work on it.
I'm sorry, im not trying to be rude, but did any of you guys read the forum rules? The first one clearly states "search before posting."
That way the forum isn't so cluttered with the same topic like it has been today...

It's not a troll. He's saying that he used the Chinese official 3.1 update.zip, which caused some apps to force close when he ran them. He then did a factory reset (which just deleted all userdata without touching the ROM), and that caused them to work again.
It isn't new info, but it's not trolling either - he is right.

Not at all. I did read....and unlike you I understood and confirmed this works for the moron above...now I am quoting ANOTHER moron.
This place must be full of them!
He essentially wiped data/cache after installing the rom instead of before. Same effect.
Moral of the story -> stop being lazy and wipe, i know people read it in the instructions and just choose not to then complain about FC's and other "bugs"

Anybody that reads a tech website knows about it. Samsung's already put out a press release acknowledging the problem. When it's fixed, I'm sure they'll know about it before we will and put out another press release. Nothing's going to hijack your device that you don't allow. Don't visit sketchy websites, download iffy apps with a low number of users, and don't accept certificates from website's you're not comfortable with. For the time being I'd disable "Unknown sources" in settings and enable "Certificates" in the browsers security settings. Samir pointed out earlier the naive could get in trouble accidentally. We here aren't naive.
May be i used the wrong word what i ment was an normal user who is a layman when it comes to tech and believe there are many on this site to who come for advice.
Will i still be able to update to the jellybean ota after this root method?
