Hi I have a rogers x10 which is unlocked to bell. Whenever I go underground in the parking garage at my work the phone doesn't automatically connect back to the network. I have to turn the phone off or have to go to network settings and connect it from there. Any suggestions to make it connect automatically rather than me having to connect manually?

I've just managed to setup my wireless conection on the mini s and connected up to internet explorer.
When i was messing about the other day and couldn't get wireless working everytime i opened up IE it tried to connect via GPRS but failed (i don't want to connect through anything that i have to pay for!!)
Anyway today i reset machine, setup as corporate and played with my router settings and its connected upto wireless. Now i've gone into IE and it connected up to the webpage straight away.
Question is, it just connected straight in, so i want to make sure that i'm not on GPRS or anything, how do i do that?
Cheers
Sorry I'm a new user and have yet to connect to my wireless network but I thought you could just turn on flight mode and connect using just the pc side of the phone???
I think I have worked it out now. I am typing on the mini s now, great piece of kit! I have noticed that if you are on gprs (or its trying to connect through that) then a G appears where the connection icon is. that means I am happy because my wireless connection is working every time now and its not connecting through gprs!
Hello all,
I am on the verge of buying an xda mini s, and i have two questions.
Firstly, is it easy to unlock and if unlocked will it work on the '3' network.
Secondly, if i use the wifi facility will be network charge me to browse the internet in the same way they would if i connect via gprs/wap etc.
Thanks

WiFi conection won't generate any charge from your phone provider. With WiFi you conect to a Wireless router. This can be open (anyone can conect) and free, open but not free (Ej. Fon), or closed (with WEP, WPA, MAC filter, etc). Or you may not be able to conect at all because there are no available networks around.
Just be careful. If you activate WiFi but can't conect to any network, using internet will make the phone activate the GPRS, included the asociated phone bill.

Hi Sportyfr
The XDA Mini-S from O2 will be unlocked anyway.
Be aware that the XDA Mini S is "not" a 3G phone, if it does register, it may not work for long on the "3" network.
AIUI
When 3 spot it, your sim card could / will get barred pretty quick.
The 3G replacement for the XDA Mini-S was the O2 Trion aka the HTC Hermes.
BTW
T-Mobile do have WiFi included in some of their higher priced "Web and Walk" packages.
Hope it helps you or at least saves you some money.

Is it possible to use a wireless network when I'm at home, and when I'm out, or when the jasjam doesn't find a wifi network, to automatically switch to 3g?
Thanks.
Simple
Just put your 3G-connectionsettings under your Work Network settings, instead of a 'separate' connection. And of course set your local wifi-settings.
Now your Hermes will use your local settings when you are near your own wifi-accespoint. When not, it'll search for some other hotspot and when it can't find it, it connects to the 3G of your provider. Only thing is that it doesn't switc back :-(
Thanks for that! What do you mean it doesn't switch back? So it doesn't switch back to using wireless when I'm at home?

My DX wont connect to my own home network, which my laptop and other wireless devices does. My DX will connect to my girlfriends wifi at her house and other wifi networks,so what's wrong?
Try power cycling your router and modem.
