Dear all,
as my Galaxy S was plagued by issues like slowdowns and GPS "jumping" I have decided to try out the JF5 firmware. It seems that the firmware indeed includes important bugfixes — GPS is way more precise now and slowdowns are basically not observable anymore.
Unfortunately, the new firmware seems to fix another bug — a bug I actually liked. I am talking about the "USB-debugging-bug" which allowed my Mac to recognize the phone as a USB storage device. After the update my Mac Book Pro is unable to either mount the Phone or see it as a modem.
Did any Apple user experience similar issues? Any solutions? Any alternatives? Any good Apps which would allow me to access the internal storage?
Thanks for your help!
Update: solved the problem. Apparently my Mac was to blame. I reloaded the USB kexts and it started working again. Sorry for false alarm

Hi Everyone,
I am having massive troubles getting Windows Mobile Device Centre under Vista to sync with my HTC TyTn which I have just upgraded to WM6. I had sync issues before the upgrade and now Im at my wits end.
Simply put the device wont sync!! It worked well the first time and I have been having issues since. There seems to be some sort of driver conflict, but I'm not even certain of this because the computer isnt giving me any real message or feedback. One noticeable thing that happens consistantly is that after an attempted sync my Fusion HDTV Card no longer works! The card is a PCI card but seems to consume USB ports...so I'm a little uncertain as to what is happening there??
Anyone have any ides?

Hello guys,
I want to write an app that registers my android phone as a HID through bluetooth to my PC. I have found many descriptions how I can connect a bluetooth keyboard or mouse to an android phone but no working solution doing generally the opposite.
The most helpful so far was groups.google.com/group/android-developers/browse_thread/thread/73f03a22963b356d, but as you can see there also isn't any solution provided.
So is it currently even possible doing this with android? Could there be a way using the underlying BlueZ with the NDK?
Any hints and help would be much appreciated.
I'm currently working on something related, which is connecting an android phone to a PS3.
You can look in /system/etc/bluetooth, notably the main.conf file, in which you'll find a Device class definition. I yet have to try to change it, to see if it changes the way the device is recognized by others
Hope this will help.
Greetings All! I have had my Xoom for about a week now and I love every bit of it! I have been using it with no issues over the course of the last week until today. I searched all over the forum for similar issues but can't seem to find anyone.
I can no longer get my Xoom to mount via USB. I've enabled USB debugging, downloaded the Motorola drivers, uninstalled/reinstalled device using device manager and tried different ports. I can't seem to access the storage. Device shows up in device manager but has a (!).
WIFI Xoom 32GB, Windows 7 64 Ultimate.
I just recently uploaded about 10-15 live sets of a few dj's and it stopped working from there.
Any help would be appreciated.
edit: resolved. for some strange reason when USB debugging is enabled it won't let you access the filesystem?
Strange.
Attempted to ask this here, but I don't have privileges to post there. I just installed MIUI on my Kindle Fire (which I received today), and its working great, other than a few issues.
1. I can no longer access the Kindle from my computer (even though USB debugging is connected), but this hasn't been listed as a known issue. Is there a way to fix this?
2. My Gmail and File Browser apps seem to have disappeared, though I can still access them via Manage Applications - is there a way to get them back on the home screen?
And big thanks to all you devs for the awesome work!
Any ideas?
I've a similar prob. w/usb in ics. Hear pc sound but nothing on kf. I have to mount usb in TWRP. Anyone a clue MIUI and/or ICS?
I have questions about MIUI also. Mine seems to be partly in Japanese. Is there a way to have the labels in English? Also there is no disconnect button for removing it from the usb cable . I have been ejecting it at the pc and hoping that is alright.
Thanks,

hi everyone
I'm facing an issue with my newly purchased gear vr.
I'm trying to connect it for the first time and my galaxy s8 won't recognize the device. I tried downloading all apps manually but didn't seem to work and also resetting won't work.
I also am facing the same problem when connecting USB port via otg it won't recognize by my phone.
I'm thinking that this is a software issue.
Am I the only one with this problem?
It seems to be a really common problem. Some people have had success returning their phone but the issue often comes back. It does seem to be a software issue as I have had it start again then stop again. I think it's related to updates but I'm not 100% sure what ones. Reinstalling and factory resetting don't work. Oculus claim that phones that aren't locked to a network aren't supported by VR. Samsung aren't interested either.
