Maybe its the wrong forum for this but since I’m a SG2 user so……
This is a VERY beta app but I’ve tested it and it works. Maybe it’s some other apps out there that do the same thing but I haven’t seen or tested any.
With the app you can send and receive files with friends from your phone to your friends phones via WIFI and 3G.
I installed SPRIID on two of my phones and created two different users. Then I sent a request from phone 1(user) to phone2(user) and user 2 accepted.
From within gallery on phone I picked a picture and choose share, spriid quick, and the user on phone2. After a few seconds phone2 two got the picture and its saved on the internal SD.
Again, the app is buggy but it’s an interesting concept. When you press options buttons and, others you get some Swedish text saying ‘not implemented yet, coming soon. One of them, I think, must be the choice to receive to ext-SD.
Maybe one way, amongst many, for beta testers or others to receive files from dev directly to SD?

BTW. The name SPRIID I think is an acronym for ‘distribute’ as it sounds like the Swedish word for it as the devs are Swedish.

I'm posting this question on behalf of a friend of mine with an Acer tablet A500. He got it from a friend abroad and thus it only provides the languages; english; french; german and (I believe) Spanish.
Is there an application (possibly similar to froggie.sk) that will change the interface to any language available? He needs his to be in Dutch.
Also:
The firmware of the device is up to date. But somehow when he tries to install Whatsapp, the play store claims his device can not handle the app. I know it can, cause it was installed by the previous owner. After setting it back to factory defaults, it will not install again. I contacted the Whatsapp and play store administration, but they do not respond.
Any help is appreciated.

Gday all . I have noticed strange activity with my phone for the past 3 months . Passwords getting changed , weird apps getting loaded , calls to numbers i dont know etc etc. I downloaded catlog to find even stranger activity with audio commands , as i dont know much about linex or android as im new to this scene. I thought id post on here for some needed advise. Hope you members can help me out a little. When i look at this in text form it says that there was calls made am i being paranoid or is there something im actually reading right..
You didn't give many details, only a summary of ostensibly erratic application behaviour. It's nigh impossible to reach any conclusion in the absence of abundant details. So for peace of mind, I'd suggest resetting everything and start over.
So back up any files, photos, etc that you wish to keep. Then use the Odin program to write a 100% stock firmware to your phone. Followed by a factory data reset. That should remove any spyware, malware, malicious apps or anything else short of physical modifications to your phone - which is an unlikely scenario.
As to a cloned number.. that seems unlikely. But if you believe so, then have your provider change your number, get a new SIM card, etc. Or better yet, simply change providers.
Then you will have a stable base to proceed from.

Have you downloaded black (not from Play or official) apps or cracked games from websites? They often are used to mess with your phone and can even cost you a lot of money. I recommend to flash a stock rom and data factory reset afterwards to rule out that option.

I work at a Cricket Wireless store, and generally can fix any issues customer's are having with their phones. I am not a developer by any means, but I can do basic things. Flashing a custom ROM, for example, isn't difficult for me. (Just to give you an idea of experience level). But I am trying to help someone at the moment and I am at a loss.
My customer is a Sikhism priest (forgive me if that is not worded correctly), and he needs a religious text on his device known as the Adi Granth. Up until recently, he had an app called Gur Gyan (link below) that displayed his text in his native language (Punjabi/Gurmukhi). He did an update recently, and now it will not work. However, I'm not sure whether he just updated the app, or if he updated his device, as he is now running Lollipop 5.0.
He has a Google Nexus 4. I tried viewing a webpage which displays Punjabi text, and it worked, making me think that his device does still support the Punjabi font. I could be mistaken though. Below is a screenshot of what the text actually looks like.
There are plenty of Adi Granth alternatives, the problem is, they are all in English. This is the only app he could find that gave both a Punjabi format, and search support. I am looking for either a fix to my problem, or an alternative that will work for him. Any help would be appreciated.

Hope someone can help as I have never expereinced a problem like this on my previous S3, I just got a new S7E and I set it up to use UK English, when I click on the microphone button in the message box (either text or WhatsApp), it beeps and says "OFFLINE MODE UNAVAILABLE".
I then clicked on the gear icon and looked at the language settings, the US English is up to date and set as the default, I also d/l'ed the French language pack without any issues, but when I tried the UK English, nothing happens, the pack is there looking like its ready to d/l and I can cancel it, but nothing is actually happening. This is with SwiftKey. I have also tried it with the Samsung keyboard & Google speech and its the same. The UK language pack just isnt being downloaded
I am based in Dubai and I have tried this on my home WiFi, via a friends VPN connection and via my mobile data so it's not something specific to the Middle East (and I had no issues with the S3). The phone is completely upto date with all the software etc done.
Could anyone point out what I am doing wrong or if it is a general error and I am not admitting defeat to my Apple friends who said I should swap from 'droid to IOS - they can bugger right off...!
