I updated to cyanogen. 5.8 qnr I lost the Google search bar apparently the one that lets you pick were to search... I.e contacts ,Apps, music does anyone know were I can get that apparently from???
You'll have to do a search and find a link for the google apps (i don't have one handy). Google had asked cyanogen not to include google apps with his ROMs.
The first post in the CyanogenMod post announcing 5.0.8 has the link for the google apps in it, read it thoughly

Where can one find the latest Google Apps package ? It seems as though every ROM maker has a link to one that they package up and upload to megaupload or rapidshare and so on. I assume it's not available directly from Google or is it ? Or, does it have to be customized for each ROM ?

my guess would be that they are all the same but like with maps, once you have it, you can get it updated thru market so it doesnt reallt matter, but also certaint roms have special market.apk so if a app is out-of-date, it can proably just be updated thru the marker
I really need somone's help right now. I just update my g1 to the final version of cm6 via rom manager but the gapps would not download. now i have no contacts market, maps, gmail, etc. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME ! (It would also be helpful if you posted the exact link instead to install the gapps)

I have Typhoon rom and today I went to download google maps but I couldn't find... I searched on google and first result was google play site... And there say that is not supported... Can somebody tell me how to fix that or give me any site where I can download manually the apk...
Hello. I have problem. When i install Nemesis Two ROM (Titanium), i wasn´t watch youtube. I have message : Google Play services, which some of your applications rely on, is not supported by your device , please contact management... I update google play services, but i have message ,, package file is not signed correctly . I download google play services from web, but in installation process, my phone write ,, App not installed. What can i do ? Please , help me .Thanks

no the rom mentioned is gingerbread and its also a banned rom so I repeat no support here
