I tried to prevent my phone from updating to 6.2.1 by changing /system/etc/otacerts.zip to /system/etc/otacerts.zip.bak. When I did this it rebooted into CWM and looks for update.zip (i renamed it b/c i didn't need it). now it loops because I can't choose to anything other than install update.zip
ADB won't find the device so I can't rename the file or push a new one. I built a factory cable which appears to work but I still can't see my KF. When I run lsusb it shows 1949:0006 Lab126 as the device.
Any ideas?
using Ubuntu 10.10
<update>
I can adb shell now. however, no adb functions seem to work. Anyone know how I can keep cwm from hi-jacking my boot? I would gladly go stock to get going again.
Hi,
I use F320L and I am under boot loop
I was planning to run the flash tool... but it needs download mode...
may be some partitions are messed up so that even I flash stock version, it never moves on to next step...
I've been searching Q&A thread and couldn't find suitable solution for me T_T ( there were similar situations but not exact same)
I've tried this one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2477595
but my phone never goes to fastboot
and also I read this one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
however, I can't install ubuntu for that I am using my company's computer
one good thing is that I can use adb in the cwm
but I don't know what to do with it
may be my best chance is to restore download mode and repartition all of device via flash tool.
it would be very very helpful and thankful if someone gives me any idea....

Since you can use adb it should be simple, download a rom i used cyanogen mod to recover mine http://download.cyanogenmod.org/
Make sure you have the adb drivers
open CMD on pc and sideload mode on CWM
enter the below commands one by one into cwm
"
cd \adb
adb kill-server
adb usb
adb devices
adb sideload zipname.zip
"
Cwm should then install the zip, wipe data/davlik/cach and reboot.
once you boot up again you should be able to turn it off and enter download mode
how to enter download mode

I ****ed up my phone today I did full wipe (formatted internal storage too, so i can't flash any rom in recovery because there is nothing) and now i've been searching hours someone who can help me? In TWRP i can't mount anything to my pc (i do not know why?) AND adb says me "devices not found" or something like that so can't push any zip-file to my phone via adb sideload. Is there any way to reapir my phone? can someone help me? Thanks alot!
There was a bug in a bunch of recent twrp releases that causes adb to not work in recovery. Patched versions have been made, try finding one for your device.
Added:
If you can't find a patched version, flash cwm or philz recovery with fastboot, adb is working on both of those. You just need a rrcovery image and do
"fastboot flash recovery <recovery-file>.img"
In fastboot mode.
let's try it out!

See the edit to my first response. Fastboot is done in fastboot mode, not recovery, so you should be good. You just need the basic .img file of cwm or philz recovery.
If you are on win 7 try this:
http://adbdriver.com/downloads/
(Adb driver installer)
Run it when you turn adb sideload on in G2 and connect it to PC.
If it fails you still can go buy somewhere USB OTG cable (few bucks) and flash ROM from usb stick like me.
It appears that accessing fastboot pn the lg g2 is not so simple. Sorta like samsung phone deal, where a manufacturer download is used instead. From what I gather, recovery might need to be wiped to access fastboot, which you could do from terminal in twrp, but thats risky. Apparently, a lot of people have gotten stuck in fastboot mode. Best bet would be to reflash stock firmware through lg download mode. Also see this thread for a method to return to stock firmware:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
Once you are back to stock, just reroot and flash revovery, etc.
downloadmode should still work. go back to any kdz for your version
also source and versions post next time
Hi,
Can anyone help me please.
I have twrp on my phone and used this to flash xtra smooth. Since i have done this it will not boot, i just get a black screen. I took a backup before i did the flash so just went back into twrp and tried to restore but it fails. It then just gets stuck on the liquid smooth boot screen.
I have tried to then go back to twrp and wipe everything and then install xtrasmooth and when i go to reboot it says i do not have supersu installed, if i chose to install it or not the same result happens, a black screen.
Iknow of adb but not sure how to do this properlly. if i open cmd prompt and type adb devide while phone attched i get that adb is not a recognised command.
Please can someone help, treat me as stupid, help me

Sounds like you have a lot of issues going on. I'm not sure what you're trying to do with adb but Google 15 second adb install xda. That'll install adb and fastboot on your device and allow you to use it from any directory. But I'm thinking you're going to have to flash the factory image.

Thanks for this, will give it ago.
I really need help, I have tried the following, having TWRP V2.8.5.1 functioning and Fastboot also.
- Through TWRP, tried connecting the PC so I can Flash a ROM from there, but I can't seem to be able to connect the One to my PC so it will let me transfer files through cmd with adb push. My computer is a windows 10 OS with Samsung drivers and Android SDK full installed, still can't get it to work.
- Through Fastboot tried flashing cm-11-20141008-SNAPSHOT-M11-bacon.zip downloaded from Cyanogenmod page and using Oneplus One Toolkit 2.0, even though the Toolkit says the files are there, still phone continues to show 1+ logo and then rebooting.
Please I need some help.
Cheers. and thank you.
Why adb push when you can just copy the file over using a file manager (or a command prompt if you insist) and then flash from the internal storage?
I'm having the same issue but in my case I can boot into recovery or other stuff IF I HAVE THE USB PLUGGED IN
Maybe you can check and and let me know, if I found a solution I'll tell you, hoping the same from you please.
