Java issue - HTC Aria General

I have done a search here on this site and found a few topics related to my issue. However, I have not seen a solution for the problem. I also however, have not seen anyone saying it is impossible. So I guess I am asking for either a solution or a reason as to why this cannot be done.
ANYWAY! Onto the issue at hand!
There is a site I would like to get working on my aria. It allows me to listen in on shortwave radio frequencies. I would have provided a link but it told me I cant so...bleh...
Problem is, whenever I go to the site it tells me java is not installed or it is disabled.
So can anyone help me out here? Or can anyone tell me this is not possible and I will simply never have a shortwave radio on my aria?
Thanks in advance for any information given.

How does Bloover work?

Hi,
I have a question regarding Bloover, if anybody can help it would be much appreciated!
Overview:
Am In trying to write an app that does some snarfing using the AT commands, similar to the way Bloover does. But I'm only interested in getting it working for the Nokia 6310i because its a school project. I'm not trying to hack the world of Bluetooth as I know its near impossible these days! And the reason I'm talking about Bloover as I used that as a base as I've seen it working from my SE K750i attacking my Nokia 6310i, so I decompiled the code to get an idea of how the AT Commands work (most of it is crap as its obfuscated, but you can get an idea of how the hack works)
My problems:
Currently my code will discover and connect to the phone and I am able to send AT commands to it via outputstream and or OBEX Put. Problem is, I'm consistently getting a return error code of 195 (OBEX_HTTP_FORBIDDEN).
So, what I need to know from more seasoned and experienced programmers and hackers out there (you guys! ) is:
1. Does the phone need to be paired before I can send the commands? Its saying its connected, but not paired?
2. Does it need a special AT Command to open it up to accept all commands, e.g. open a port or some kind of way in?
I think thats all I need, (so far!) if anybody can help me with these couple of questions if anybody has done anything similar or just knows how it all works it would be very much appreciated!
Thanks,
DG
OK, Sorry about this, its a bit of a bump, but...
I have some more info, that I don't need to pair with the device, but still can't get it to accept any commands. Does anybody know if a buffer overflow is required for this hack for the phone to accept the commands?
Thanks,
DG.

well I have to tell you that you must have bought a scam. all cell spy apps need to be installed on the victim phone, there is no real tool that can install on your own phone to spy on another phone. my advice would be claiming refund right now. for trusted cell spy apps check the review:

hope it helps.

Signal Problems

Hi guys,
Just got this problem with my HTC elf100 the other day. I can't seem to find the answer for it so I'm looking for some advice on how to work these problem out.
First, I'm from the Philippines and the network I've used first is Globe. I have alot of problems with the signal cause when I'm outside its really high, but when I go inside my house it starts searching for signal. So, I changed my sim network to Smart. It worked fine, but just then the second problem arise.
Second, is that I used my phone to access the internet. I used the internet sharing. It worked at first although it's a little slow. Then after an hour or so I got disconnected. It started searching for a network. I restarted my phone hoping that the signal would go normal again. But upto now, it still search for signal. I don't know what happen.
Help is really appreciated. Thanks very much.
By the way, i tried Hard reset - nothing happened
I'm trying upgrading the radio to 3.21.90. I've already flashed it but its still 2.93.90. Don't know if I'm doing it the right way. Please help me.
Please post your device id from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=418892, then somebody can help
is it happen to other smartphones with the same netowork provider?
Hi
I saw your device id, you should try to download this radio version http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2849754&postcount=75.
It could be related too that your cid is very old, you could update with Hspl 2.28 from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=445666
wow.. thanks for that.. hope it works though.
Thanks a lot..
Hi,
It's me again. I've already upgraded my radio version and the spl. But sad to say, nothing happened. It's still searching for signal. I'm really getting frustrated about this. I don't know what else to do. Or maybe there's some technical problems involved? But my unit hasn't been open since I got it. Please is there anything I can do before I dump this thing. I really love this phone. Hope you could give me other solutions. Thanks a lot.
(I'm planning on changing it to Windows 6.5. Would that work?)

Bluetooth Mac address issue, Possible Info for Dev's to Help fix.

Greets all,
I was trying to find a way to make the Bluetooth work with a real mac address, obviously cause we all have generic address's and most are having issues, well I dont know if this is of any help, but during my search I ran across some information, which I was hoping would be of use to anyone that is a programmer and possibly might be able to figure out why we have a generic address, when if I read correctly, Android can obtain this information rather easily. So I am providing everyone with the link to the info I found, now I know it might be about 6 months old, but I doubt there is very much difference since then, but again I am not a programmer. But I hope it helps anyone thats willing to take a crack at it.

Hope it helps someone in the right track and help us all.

[Q] New Android Security Issue

Ok I'm a little bit unsure on whether to post this or not. I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this so please don't tar and feather me if it's not. Ok... with that out of the way, has anyone else here heard of a security threat in the Android OS prior to 2.3.3? Please see below link for a description.

Is this something that we need to be concerned about? If so, what is a temporary fix, if any. Thanks!
dont connect to unsecure wifi networks. problem solved. all "issues" that have ever been reported for android can be fixed by people simply not doing stupid things. be smart. dont sideload or download apps that you know you shouldnt install like "superduper babez 2012!," dont install legit apps downloaded from strange places, dont connect to unsecured wifi... all common sense stuff. this isnt aimed at you, im just sayin, people in general.

[Q] GPS stopped working after upgrade to Gingerbread

I went into a T-Mobile store and had an associate upgrade my handset to Gingerbread. Everything works fine except for when I go into Navigation to use GPS. I type in the location where I want to go, but it says, "Searching for GPS..." and then it never finds it. Of course, I'm trying to use it in locations where GPS previously worked fine.
Here's what I've done to try to fix the issue:
1. restart the phone
2. download an app called "GPS Status & Toolbox" It has a tool that allows you to reset your gps data or something like that.
3. factory reset
Does anyone know of something else that I can try?

this is may/may not help.
I would recommend you root and d/l a AOSP rom with new panache radio or similar, but that's another story....
Thanks for the reply, h22aboi. Unfortunately those procedures didn't work either.
I called T-Mobile tonight, and they couldn't give me an answer on how to fix the GPS. But the lady mentioned that others were having the same problem, and they were working on a solution. I asked her how many people were having this problem, and she said ten. That's not exactly a huge number, so I don't want to hold my breath for a fix.
I'm thinking about rooting my phone, but I'm under the impression that I would need to first downgrade to Froyo. I found a guide on how to do that, but it looks really complicated, especially for a total noob like me. I don't even know what an ADB is.
