Simple Today Plugin - missed calls and voicemails - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Themes and Apps

Hey, I have a hopefully quick question, but haven't been able to find the answer I'm looking for yet.
I have a Touch Pro 2 and am really starting to like the simplistic view of the Today screen without TF3D or the Windows Default views.
Unfortunately if you don't use TF3D or Windows Default, the Today screen doesn't display missed calls or voicemail notifications. Is there a simple plugin that will do this? I've done quite a bit of research and the only real solution I've been finding is PhoneAlarm which sounds good, but I am looking for a free solution.
Anybody have any ideas? I find it hard to believe there isn't a simple (free) plugin that will do this functionality...
Thanks in advance for your help.

If you're going for the simplistic view, then why not use the LED notifications for when you have a missed call/voicemail/text/email? Also, even on the today screen, when you have a missed call or voicemail or text or whatever it should display an icon in the taskbar. Beyond that, you're right I have no idea of a free solution to this unless you enable Sense or Titanium. Maybe other people will know more, just thought I'd suggest the LED thing

Try HomeScreen PlusPlus here http://www.chi-tai.info/cs_batterystatus_xda_neo_wm5_im_cs.htm

Thanks for your suggestions.
I'm looking for something a bit more advanced than a flashing indicator on the phone I want to duplicate the functionality of the Home screen on Sense (that shows the voicemail and missed calls notification and allows you to directly call you voicemail and see the list of missed calls.)
I tried the HomeScreen PlusPlus, but it appears to only track outgoing calls/texts and not the missed calls and new voicemails...

HomeScreen PlusPlus can do just that, but you need to write your own MortScripts or modify existing ones. The DigiClock skin provides these functions, but I think the graphics it comes with are for QVGA screens, so if you used VGA graphics with the skin you'd get your functionality. I may have MortScripts I modified that does exactly what your looking for as well, before I moved to Pointui Home2. Let me know if you want them and I can post them for you...

That would be great if you could post them - I'd love to try them out.
Thanks!

Getting rid of 5 tab today screen?

Hi,
I added the stuff from the "all you need for your wing" thread to my wing. Most of it is awesome, but there are issues with missed calls not showing up from my faves people. How can I get rid of this and go back to the normal screen? I tried downloading and installing the 3 tab version to see if that worked right, but it still shows the 5 tab on my today screen.
As far as the missed calls, I have the same problem as this guy-

Hello,
After performing most of the mods located in this thread, the call history is not logging any calls to/from people that are in my fave 5. (it used to)
So I thought maybe the actual My Faves program is logging the calls now, but no it's not.
Anyone else experiencing this? The today screen plugin for missed calls does not increment by one when i have a missed call from someone in my fave 5, the call history does not log any my fave calls, and the My Faves program does not log them anymore either.

not sure what rom you are using but most of the newer roms allow you to select and deselect which tabs appear on the home screen from Settings->Today menu. You can also achieve this by downloaing schaps config tool and using that to edit the home plug-in. I hope thats what you were looking for.
I'd love to remove the missed calls/msgs/voicemails part of the htc home plugin.
I use SPB phone suite, and I prefer it over the htc, and it annoys me to have 2 things on the today page showing me missed events.

Well I tried removing what appeared by doing the Settings>Today Menu, but it came up after resets. But you can actually get rid of it by goint to "remove programs", so that's good. I feel stupid for asking before checking that.
I don't know anything about that tool...I JUST got this phone, and before this had some old crappy nextel. I'm new to the modding thing. I'll see if I can figure out that tool though. Thanks.

Well I didn't mind that, but if someone in myfavs called and I didn't see it, it wouldn't show up in call history as a missed call, and it wouldn't give me any new notifications. I'd love that home screen if that worked, but for some reason it doesn't, at least with that. No idea why. I wonder if the 6 tab version works.
I tried the 3 tab version, but I think it's outdated. My city isn't in the weather thing for it, but it was on the 5 tab.

Incoming calls notification

Hi folks,
is there any way of changing the incoming calls notification from this small bubble, where you need a lens to reed it, to full screen or at least half-screen?
Thanks for any hint
Have a look at S2U2 (slide 2 Unlock 2) It has full screen caller ID options.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=353008
thanks,
so I understood, there is no option in WM6 to change that? Only by a seperate program?
No nothing built into the OS. There are other 3rd party contact applications which also do full screen caller ID, but I can't remember which and they are all pay-for stuff anyway. S2U2 is a nice app if it fits round your use of your device.
Thanks, I'll try that. Are there any known issues? I think, I have somewhere read, that there are some problems with the cube?

That is just MY skin. You can skin rlToday any way you like. One icon, with ot without calendards, etc. You really should have taken a moment to learn about rlToday.
I have all that on my screen because I setup rlToday to show all that. I don't think it's what you really want but you can even have a whole today screen with nothing but an icon for missed sms and an icon for missed calls.
How do you add a shortcut to "Shutdown" or "Stand-by" on Ultimate launcher? I know there's a series of parameters you need to put in order to achieve this. Any help will be appreciated!

I use vjDeviceLock. In UL you can have gestures (slide up or down) that launch programs. I use a down slide to launch vjDeviceLock. It locks my device and powers down the screen with one swipe of my finger.
In UL click change for one of the tabs. You should see 3 tabs across the top. Open the Gestures tab and set a program to run on a gesture.
Thanks for the info man, it is definetly an alternative to what I'm looking for. However, I was leaning more towards having a "Power Off" button and linking it to "stand-by" once you click on it.
If anyone knows the string needed to achieve this please let me know.
Thanks
kdash do you know where can I find those icons for 'Power on' and 'lock'?
thanks

SPB & PocketCM

Is there a way to make SPB use, and bring up the PocketCM functions? For instance, when I get a text, and click the text messages icon under the Clock, i'd like it to go to PocketCM, instead of the Windows client. Same as for contacts.
I've been trying for a long time to make my HTC mogul actually work correctly. It always seems like GUI's (And trust me, I've used almost everthing) fail somehow. SPB seems a little better than most, except for this issue.
It would be REALLY nice if someone had a solution...

...I'm looking for a specific answer.
It's not a noob question, and probably isn't simple.
This is not a noob question but sounds like one to me...

A simple google search reveals the answer.
Hmm. That solves part of the problem, but what about text messages?
God, I've looked everywhere. There has to be some way to change where SPB's text message icon, below the clock, directs too....
Somone please help?
Wow! Relax, take a breather, inhale..................exhale. OK.
So, even with setting PocketCM as the default app for the SMS and contacts, the WM apps still show?
Wooa, where do I set this?
Sorry, I've been searching for answers all friggin' day..
Just press & hold on the far right button, don't use anymore so I forget which it is but it's on the right, the second row will appear, slide to the gears, or whatever graphic looks like settings, each theme will be different. Then you should see it in the settings.
Don't see make it default.
"Bring PocketCM to front" is the closest, and it's checked, and does nothing.
I could've sworn there was a "make default" setting.
Man, My version must suck than, cause i'm stuck without one...
....Still no answer...

This bell is difficult to tap without a pen and defeats the finger friendly aspect of MS. Any ideas?
Thanks,

Just checked SPB's forum and there is a pretty popular thread there asking for this exact functionality. Doesn't look like SPB is listening or at least responding. Hopefully somebody here can add one.

I got in the same position when using Homescreen++. I got things almost just the way I wanted them and still felt things lacking without this. I don't even need a fancy display for the notifications / reminders. Just an indicator that when tapped, shows the regular WM notification balloons. Heck, at this point I'd even take a setting that leave the balloons up until I dismiss them. Maybe a mortscript could do this? Anything to avoid fumbling with the little bell. It is really hard to hit with just my thumb.

An icon that would light up if there are system notifications. Press it, and in a good way show notifications/allow them to be dismissed.

anybody has an idea how to make a shortcup to launch the (too) litle reminder bell ?
Ditto. Not only reminders...but I get all kind of alerts during the day - text, email, calender reminders. It would be nice if I could assign a shortcut to open my pending reminders
