danxtian, I think you just won BP's annual "Flagrant Disregard for the Rules" award...the link in your signature is prohibited here, to put it mildly.

ok... will remove it..

"Any Video Converter" is a good one...

I second any video converter. Simple and works really well (even with the free version)

I use spb converter. it gives screen resolution sizes so it fits the whole screen and is easy to use.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=666971
Plus 1-click DVD converter is also a good one, but the ones I listed in the above tread are free.

you could also just try core player it will play the file off your phone just like that....

Here's one specifically designed for HD2... I am going to test it out and edit this with a small review.
http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/htc-hd2/

Videora works great but the obnoxious ads are a huge let down. At least for me.

I tried it out and yes, the ads annoyed me to no end... It's also a slow program, sometimes pages won't load until you refresh, stuff like that. The conversion didn't take too long, but the end quality was less than what I hoped. Audio was completely screwed, and resolution wasn't that great. And I find it hard to believe that it was designed for the HD2 yet there is no HD2 profile, you're forced to use the HTC HD profile which obviously isn't the same. Going to try some more with Any Video Converter, hopefully there is a profile that works well.

I've tried to convert some movies with the settings above but for some reason it says that it can not play the file. I'm using the wm player and do not have core player (read that it's a paid program). I'm using Miri's rom 17.5. Maybe it's an issue with the rom? Can someone help me out please?

as far as i know there is no Answering system works with wm2003
so i think the problem regarding the answering machine has been solved in WM5 but there is no individual application to enable answering system on other wm5 phone edition PPC's like Prophet, is there any answering program like the one used in i-teq?
please introduce it if you any.
here is screen shot of i-teq bond
lover - this is a specific software and hardware solution provided by Gigabyte. It's not a generic WM5 solution.
Have a read around the board on why that might be the case.

The overdub could be awesome too.

so i think this is a software which is in ROM and there is no hardware added, ithink so.
it would be great if some one get that software from the original ROM.
thanks for sharing

The attached, ripped from the ROM, may require other associated files, but I've tried the whole ROM in its complete form. It appears to be non English, so I may be reading it wrong, but let me know if you have any luck.

than you very much but
it didnt work on my JAMin., does any one knows which company is the developer of this software?
Maybe I'm missing something here, but can someone enlighten me as to why you would want an answering machine on your phone when your mobile phone carrier already supplies you with that service? Just want to make sure I'm not missing out on any features here.
i dun think its just a software api that does this answering machine..
most likely to be a hardware inside the phone that is not present in other phones.
It is just a software!
There is a rom (2.03 Beta TofClock Himalaya) and it has this answering machine...
bepe: I think that's specific to the Himalaya. Because of the way the modem works on PocketPC phones, not all (in fact, it seems, very few) have the audio path accessible by the device itself for two way recording.
Have a read through here. If you've had any sucess, please post:

To pay $ 18.95 for an app that you can do for FREE? I've reported about a long ago (it's REALLY worth following my blog ) - I'd certainly prefer it to this one.

Just my two cents...
I don't think the software won't work on any device other than g-Smart range, it's to do with the hardware of the phone, not WM5. Without this hardware I believe it is impossible to record both sides of the conversation without some massive application, which will probably (a) slow the ppc right down, as will need to be integrated into the OS, and (b) not be that cheap either.
Regards.
just a quick qn.. if i want to try on my hermes, how to i 'install' it?
do i need to tweak any registry settings?
thanks
that would be a great app i think!! i'm on pay as you go and orange charge 10p per min to retieve voicemail!! would be super if the phone itself took over and saved an mp3 or something to the memory card!!! no charges!!
come on!!! some make or find it!!!

So, I'm finally tired of T-Mobile's ROM

It keeps spazzing on the simplest things, not letting me use WMPlayer without restarting, and basically pissing me off to extremes never felt with my Dash.
I really want to try WM6.1, but I'm not so into losing my InternetSharing (that's helped me at the oddest times) or adding a ton of programs that come with a ROM that I'll never use.
So basically I'm looking for the cleanest ROM possible without going to Windows and begging for an update.

You could try the Just2Clean by ivan. I think the zcink edition has internetsharing. It is BASIC, nothing but what you need for the phone to function; not even a calculator.

Audio Booster missing from T-Mobile US Branded Phones?

I have a T-Mobile US Branded TP2 and have been having a few issues with the sound quality when listening to music on wired headphones.
Maybe it’s just me, but I have found the playback quality of MP3s over my Sennheiser headphones to be, well, lacking. It’s not the media or the headphones – they sound great on my old iPod – it’s definitely an EQ issue in the phone. Initially, there was a near total absence of top-end treble. As others have described in the forum, the overall sound is somewhat bass-laden and "muddy". I applied the audiopara3.csv trick detailed in the following thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=550784 and this did help somewhat. Not a huge change, but some of the top end is certainly restored.
Other posts talked about the HTC Audio Booster utility and guess what? T-Mobile had this pulled from their ROM build; it’s mentioned in the “official” (unbranded) Touch Pro 2 Manual on HTC’s website, but is not is T-Mobile’s version of the same manual. And it’s not on the phone either.
So here’s my request: would someone be kind enough to post the Audio Booster cab for Rhodium? I looked all over the forums and was unable to find it.
Thanks,
Steve

Thanks, but this is not the application I was looking for (think this just boosts the bass). HTC released an Equalizer app known as the Audio Booster which seems to ship with most new phones other than the T-Mobile branded TP2. This is actually tweaks the hardware in the phone rather than running a CPU intensive software EQ. Here's a screen shot of what is looks like:

Slacker Radio from leaked TMO HD2

I found this over at PPCGeeks, finally be able to get rid of Pandora and its crappy UI =D. But I'm getting weird graphic glitch by the song titles, everything else seems to work well though. Maybe compatibility issue with 6.5.5 can someone try it out with 6.5 rom and see if you have the same issue?

no. i just created an account within the app and that was it. works fine, except for the stupid 6 skips per hour limit (like pandora has).
if you want more features, you can upgrade, but the basic features are free and all you really need are basic features... unless you want to look at lyrics or something.
I might just reflash to 6.5, the bottom start button must be causing the graphic overlap. You can get around the 6 skips per hour thing by just changing station and change it back instead of using the skip button, couple of extra steps but hey it's free.
Sweet! Thanks. Seems to work fine on my tmo tp2 with tmo 6.5. Kinda slow when you launch a station. But still cool.
thanks working fine on my t-mobile tp2 with stock 6.5 upgrade

working perfectly on my AT&T Tilt2.
THANK YOU!!!!!! Works good on sprint TP2 running feb 7 23xxx Energy Rom
I see what you mean by graphical glitch it is kind of annoying but I'm loving this and who know maybe someone out there will rip it apart and put it back together for 6.5.x. It's still totally usable! I'm going to assume that I would have to upgrade in order to have favorites or make custom stations.
I just wonder why it's like that I have would have enough room if the pause,skip,etc would just slide down a few millimeters....oh well
Thanks again for putting this up!
Weird after going to the slacker radio website I couldn't even find anything for a windows mobile phone but whatever I just came back to report that if you go to the site you can put together custom stations!!!!! F88K Yeah!!! Better than pandora!!!
The graphic glitch is there probably because start and softkeys are bigger in 6.5.x so it's pushing up on the program, it looks perfect in 6.5 though according to those screenshots posted earlier.

I figured that much but there is still space there. Not a big deal. This will push pandora to the side. (For me at least) It is just so much more finger friendly and sounds great!
This was the first I even heard of this. I read about the ebook earlier in the week but this was never talked about. I would think this would be a big deal because if you go to slacker radio . com there is no option for ANY type of windows mobile phone...either way a very good find.
this is so awesome
thank god for this, it blows pandora away. great UI, great sound quality, and all the info on the band. it is so great. everyone needs this for their tp2.
tp2 needs more apps like this!!!!
Just wanted to report back from a QVGA device. I can login with my Slacker account just fine and station selection is actually usable. The Now Playing screen cuts off all the player controls and most of the artwork, so you can't actually skip or pause music, but if that doesn't concern you then it works pretty well.
Its probably wishful thinking, but I don't suppose there's any way someone could hack this up for proper qvga?
I can not get is to skip on touch pro
Any touch pro users that have used the app and can make it skip the songs?
Works with Sprint tp2 stock rom
Just want to report that it's working perfectly on sprint 6.1 stock rom tp2. Sound quality is real good and the next song connects faster than pandora. Only problem right now is this 6 songs skip limitation. I don't think i will be using pandora anymore. Thanks bobafuzz.
Installed on Sprint TP and player controls are cut off. No way to skip, pause, etc. Plays music well though... Can't wait for a fixed version on VGA.
Q
GOODBYE PANDORA!
Looks like I finally understand why Blackberry users had it so good with Slacker Radio, but no more. WM is in the game and we got Slacker Radio just as good as the rest of you.

can't hear songs just with headsets

hello
i have some mp3 files, which i can't hear correctly just with headsets, when i don't plug them i just head noise ?!
that's one of them:
http://server13.mp3quran.net/jhn/114.mp3
all the list:
http://server13.mp3quran.net/jhn/
but some of them works correctelly, like: 001.mp3
and others just work in few seconds, like 005.mp3 , it's good for the first 7 seconds, and then enter in noise, but when using headsets all goes ok.
Try to plat some video in YouTube or another app, what you hear?
You flash custom ROM ? Kernel?
Do a backup of your data and reflash your rom. If this doesn't help, we take it from there.
i just tested the files in another phone, and it's the same problem!
noise when hearing without headsets, and normal when plugging the headsets.
so, what to do?
If you say that you know the error came from the songs not from the device
On my Nexus 4 there arent any noises. I can hear this mp3 clearly - with headphone and over loudspeaker.
Mabe you just dont understand the language. :'D

so the problem is with my nexus !
the 2nd phone i tried in was also a nexus, but with a different rom.
i'm using now: miui 4.6.20 (from en.miui)
my kernel is: franco kernel 3.4.0 milestone 3
so, where can the problem be? in the kernel may be?
Miui isnt a official release. Based on my knockledge it is a ported rom by some xda members. There could be a issue with such roms, since they are ported. Did you already try another mp3 out? What about watching videos on youtube with loudspeaker? If this problem still occurs than you should consider flashing another rom.
May I ask if you also can revert your kernel to stock?

http://server13.mp3quran.net/jhn/001.mp3 (from 001.mp3 to 114.mp3) (or, that's the website:http://www.mp3quran.net/jhn.html)
edit:
i've tried changing the encoding of the files with: Switch Sound File Converter, but the same problem.

Nice to hear!
The sample rate of the original mp3 files are 48000 Hz. I've downsampled it to 44000. It seems your device struggles to play such high sample rate...

i hope that you make that change to a small file, like: 114.mp3 and upload it to test again.
This is what I did:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And if nothing works, than must tell me the files you need and I will convert it for you.
