First off this is not a slandering thread about CHT and I have been an avid user of Cookie's work.
But of late this is what I have experienced and I just wanted to share a possible solution to those who are facing the same issues as myself.
Eversince I installed the latest CHT 1.8.5 my HD2 has been hanging or unable to wake up from sleep.
What I did was to disable the option to "Lock on standby" in the CHT Editor Lockscreen settings.
BTW I'm on 1.66WWE stock ROM.
Apart from the fact, that you should have posted this in Co0kies Thread to get faster help, i have the same questions as always: Does it happen on a fresh ROM? Do you have other ManilaMods/StandbyMods/etc. installed? If not make a HardReset and install it again. As it runs perfectly on nomerous devices with the Stock 1.66 ROM, there must be some Software on your Device which is responsible for this behaviour...

Have you tried my suggestion?
IMHO I think it's a conflict of ROM and settings.
After making the change it's been so far so good for me.
Thought I might wanna share this possible solution.
Didn't know I would come under flak for it.

No sweat Man.
Thank you for being a gentleman.
I seldom post here anymore because as with other forums there's too many self-appointed and righteous members who are over-zealous in their comments.
Glad that we're cool.
Cheers.

Having the same problem too after upgrade from 1.7 to 1.8.5
However, my "Lock on standby" is already disable, but my "Enable CHT lockscreen" is enabled. I had disabled it too and see how it goes.
same ROM as you.
Update: No more lockup or freeze after disabled "Enable CHT lockscreen"
Having the same problem too after upgrade from 1.8 to 1.8.5
Did a hard reset (such a pain) and went back to 1.8 and it works perfectly.
edit: still have to say that CHT makes HD2 ownership soooo much better! thanks cookie.

Is There A Background For all Tabs for The New Updated Manilla That Includes The Weather Clock???
See post 14
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=572166&highlight=background&page=2
I assume you mean the manila 2.5? There is very little that works well because of the animation. I used HD Walls with manila 2.1 and it worked great. Now that I use manila 2.5 I have not found anything stable to use. There is a program called maxtt that works and still allows weather animation but it kept freezing my programs so i removed it. Both programs were found here on the forum. Hope that helps.
I have tested more than 5 different cabs and tweaks to have my background image in all tabs but none has worked 100% properly...
I´m using latest Energys ROM photon with Manila 2.1
Any advice?
Thanks in advance
There is a cab, But you loose the weather animations on the today page, but other then that is works like a charm.
In short, no there is nothing for Manila 2.1 with weather in clock. If I knew how, I would have created it long time ago...
Thanks zelendel, shame we do not have a full working version
Hope anyone can develop it soon
Anyother option?
Thanks,

Hi,
I'm new to all this and hoping to get some simple clear direction
I have the diamond 2 (Australian Model) with the legit upgrade to wm 6.5. I really want the new interface home screen that has the weather animation on it and the three quick shortcuts which expands to more when you slide up.
Was hoping someone could tell me how get it?
i've tried to compile a basic tutorial-ish thing:
read this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=585457
then this (make sure to follow the steps EXACTLY!)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=585201
and you should be able to flash any of the ROMS available here(scroll down to the posts with dates in their title)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=486
and of course, welcome to xda!
(any questions, post them in the first thread link i sent you, i check that regularly)
So basically there is no option to get the home screen with the hour and weather icon instead of the list?
I thought you could turn it off or on?
i am not aware that there is an option for that. a premade .cab file might be able to do it, but that would simply be messing with your manilla/windows files.
rather look for a ROM that does what you want.
Thanks heaps Drag-On.
I'm wanting Duttys Topaz Sense 2.5 Holy Grail (the latest) where is the rom download?
there is no direct link for Dutty's ROMs on this website (im not actually sure why) but go here: http://htcpedia.com/soft/htc-topaz-rom.html and you will be able to select one of his to download..
Remember, YOU MUST HAVE HARDSPL INSTALLED FIRST!!! use the guide i linked above.
good luck

As Dutty's ROMs are as close to stock as possible, I suggest you search on Max Manila themes and you may find the Home screen configuration you are looking for.
Thx Bruce Inman, but I like Duttys ROM, although it does rip through the battery.
What is duttys HG1 ROM? I've seen it posted with people saying its better than R8. Does it consume less battery?

as you can see in my signature, that is the ROM i (was) using (my Diamond 2 is in for repair)
i found it to be the best for me...it had almost NO bugs and battery lasted ok for me.
(HG = Holy Grail) and 1 is the version. there is a version 6 out already, but it's mainly for multi language support.

R8 was based on an older build than the HG series, which is a very stable build, that's why he called it HG (Holy Grail).
I am running HG6 and ony have the slow SMS issue. I am running Max's theme for .2525 manila and its working great.
Battery consumption is on par with other ROMs, with the right power settings you'll get a day out of moderate use.
Hi all,
The Dutch version of the 1.66 ROM has just been released and I would like to know what are the main differences between 1.48 and 1.66. Is it worth to upgrade and install everything again (a hell of a job).
Tnaks in advance, Kuzibri
I think the best thing for you would be reading through this forum... There are at least 10 threads that handle your "issue".
I know, I have done that for most of them, but I'm, of course, mainly interested in the findings of members that already used the leaked Dutch version. There seems to be differences in ROMS between countries.
The biggest changes are:
* SMS Bug fixed
* Lock Screen works now
* Proximity Sensor seems to work all the time now
* Device runs smoother
at least for me
thanks for your kind and fast reply.
The dutch version is out :O Thanks for telling, vriend
I would like to know if 1.66 is worth it or not as well. Talking about the Dutch version. Also a noob question: all your installed programs (games, tweaks, etc) will be gone right? Everything that is on your SD card will not get removed I assume? And will all programs work normal or do we have to wait for all the programs to get updated to roon on 1.66?
Would appriciate the help! Kind regards.
Games, Tweaks, etc will be deleted! SD is untouched..
Most/all of the programs work! There is an issue with the battery % indicator but theres already a fix for it!
Before you upgrade, backup your contacts, calender and other important stuff ( notes or whatever)

Thank you very much for this information. Will have to search for that battrty % fix because I use a custom notifications bar (the default one is ugly imo) which includes a nice 1% battery indicator.
So overall, it is good to go 1:66. Just going to have to start over after upgrading. Maybe a good thing so I can get rid of all the junk I dont use: a general cleening process

you're absolutely right by that. But the link is here:

A bit weird though that this ROM update is not present on the general HD2 support site (where you normally can find all updates for the HD2), but that it is placed(you would almost say: is hidden) in the ROM update category.
Thanks... works like a charm!

Hello,
Should I flash the 1.66 ROM to my HD2 (romania)?
The official web download said that the update does not apply to my serial no.
I experience hang-outs especially after ending a telephone conversation.
Please help.

Is there something like the old HTC Home Customizer that will work for the Touch Pro2? I've spent the last hour wading through this forum trying to find a way to replace the awful, 1970's flippy clock with a simple digital clock.

If Sense == Manila, then the programs mentioned are of no help. I have Manila 2.1, and already screwed up the phone once trying to use a 2.5 program.
I hope someone doesn't chime in "Well just flash a new ROM." Unless someone can show me a compelling reason, (and a detailed list of the changes it would introduce), I'm not interested in doing that.

Manila Sense 2.1 / 2.5 *Updated March 11, 2010*
looks fairly simple:
-Steps for Sense 2.5 2012 Installation (INSTALL ALL TO DEVICE MEMORY):
1. Install .net 3.5
2. Install SDKCerts
3. Disable Auto Phone Shutoff:
-If on battery power: Settings\System\Power\Advanced and uncheck Turn off device if not used for
-If on external power: Settings\System\Power\Advanced and uncheck Turn off device if not used for
4. Disable TF3D 2.0 (Go to Start/Settings/Today/Items and uncheck HTC Sense or TF3D)
5. Soft Reset
6. InstallSense 2.5 2012 CFC / Sense 2.5 2012 CFC Mirror (CFC Compressed and includes all fixes. Once settled in, it runs very well! It also includes some new tabs and many tweaks/goodies! Plus, the multimedia key is now mapped to rotate the screen)
7. Soft Reset
8. Once everything is loaded and stable:
Enable Auto Phone Shutoff:
-If on battery power: Settings\System\Power\Advanced and check Turn off device if not used for
-If on external power: Settings\System\Power\Advanced and check Turn off device if not used for

My issue with flashing ROMS isn't difficulty, it's having a definitive reason to do so, and finding a clear description of the changes in the ROM.
Thanks for the tip on installing manila 2.5. Didn't know that could be done. But looking at a comparison of 2.1 and 2.5, I don't see an advantage, and see a couple of disadvantages.

There is an EVO ROM that has a customizer built in by the cook. I used that ROM for a little while, but really like the customizer, you could change the flip clock, analog clock, clock background, font and other things. This was a really nice feature. I have searched for an add-on or standalone app that I could install that would do this as well. Customizing is the main thing we are ALL trying to do here.
Anybody had any luck with this?!
Hi all !
I have and HD2 with windows mobile with dutty v23 rom and CHT 2.0.0 and when I use CHT the flip clock animation is very buggy as sometimes there is no scrolling but I got this situation :
as you can see the animation got buggy with the clock flipping "halfway".
in the picture only the "hour" got buggy and not the minutes because I haven't been able to capture it on time. Anyway this happens many times and I would like to solve this to have working animation, any suggest ?

Hola, I remember very well this picture Haven´t you also posted this SAME issue with your flip clock back in november in CHT Thread and you have been advised that this is NON CHT related but is directly linked to other customizations installed on your device. Please stop flaming or blaming CHT for this
well actually I reposted this becuase I haven't solved the problem and I actually had kind of a conversion with who substain that this wasn't related to cht, anyway I had tried to use my phone just after flesh with nothing installed expet for cookie and the problem was still there, I have also pass my cht configuration file to the hd2 of a friends ( that was just been fleshed so nothing installed on it ) and I got the same result.
Honeslty I don't know if this is related to my configuration in cookie editor or if it's a bug inside cookie home tab, anyway it's related with one of those. Also don't misunderstand me, cht is one of the greater program for windows mobile, I don't want to flame it, I'm just tring to figure it out how to solve this bug...
i use cht in all the dutty rom, from v15 to v25 without problems
i have changed the taskbar with a my personalized taskbar
i change the clock and other setting and all work correctly

@light_n_roses:
only one question: why you are the only one who has this strange issues. Hundreds of users are working without this issue. Also when there are three or ten users with the same issue, everytime when we advise to install it fresh with a rom where CHT is not cocked in, the system is running. And when you are so tired about all this. Why you use allways CHT?
So i repeat my question :
You can send me a text file where you have written down what you have installed in which way and which other things are installed on which rom from which cook on which phone, step by step. I will do the same test. When i have the same issues i will solve this issue. When i have no issues then i can't help you but i have done my work. So send me all files please, or upload it to megaupload or i will give you a link to my dropbox. Where is the problem for you?
You ask for help, when we say please check this or this, you start to blame CHT, but when we ask you to help us, so as here in this moment, you do nothing only talking. To help you with your issue to find a way out of this we need at 1st your help. PM me when you need the link to upload the files, otherwise please stop to blame CHT.

the fact that a lot of people do not have this problem I think is related to 2 facts : first the vast major of people that use cht, hard customize their home page while I use it to restore original htc look, indeed I believe that this bug comes out when I modified the quicklinks page number on 3x3 as when I tried my customization files on the hd2 of my frieds the bug cames out and he said me that this doesn't happen when 4x4 pages was on.
The second fact is the option that enable "original flip clock animation" inside cookie editor.
And BTW:
the screenshot isn't from the original dutty rom. It is modded with a taskbar cab .

like I said you just talk aganst me without know nothing, I have already pointed out that I do not use that taskbar anymore and that I have tried to use cookie home tab after a flesh and with NO PROGRAM INSTALLED EXPEPT FOR COOKIE HOME TAB AND COOKIE EDITOR and the bug was there, so what I have installed or not is not relevant !!
