Unrevoked Easy Root Method - Droid Incredible General

Does anyone know when a easier root method will be installed?
I got into adb shell once and i can not duplicate that method again.
Any information would be greatly appreciated either posted on this thread or pm'd to me. Thanks.

Uhh, if you messed the timing up, all you got to do is try again, not have to get in there again. So you messed up, you just repeat it until you get the timing right.

to late because in the 10 min video he says if you messed up to start over.

no he says restart the 1.bat like everyone else does... i followed the video and never start over from root.. just reload the 1.bat and try from there not restart the whole thing

god im an idot, i thought i had to restart the whole adb shell. Now i cant get back into recovery. Does anyone know when a packaged root will be ready?

no clue and i know its a pain but keep trying im sure you will get it again... try a PNY card if having lots of trouble

The easiest way I used was continuously popping in and out the sdcard while it was booting into recovery.

Help
Can someone help me with getting this Inc into recovery? I have tried several times for the last couple days and keep getting this message, " * daemon not running. starting it now *". I have the adb running in loop.

Losing ADB Device when going into recovery

So ADB was working (I thought?) and ADB recognizes my phone when I just plug it in, but when I go to do the steps for rooting, it no longer recognizes it.
I got it to say offline ONCE after the loop, but the on the unplug re-plug, it went away. I'm bummed...
cmon now http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=703429
You must have misread my post. I've looked thoroughly through that post, actually.
What I am needing help with is after that loop, going from offline in ADB to recovery...
thanks!

ITs not recognizing your phone when in recovery thought correct? if so thats the same thing discussed there. If it did recognize it as offline in recovery then do as eugene said.

it needs to stick to offline, not just say it onec or twice. itll say offline many times not just once then disappear. Once it does it and sticks, it doesnt turn off, you dont need to rush and hit ctrl c
I'm having a issue that's somewhat related. I have a tmo mts3g and I had it rooted with no issues following the instructions provided in eugene's previous posts on the matter. Tmobile recently dropped a OTA update for 2.1 and it relocked my phone. Now that I'm trying to reroot it I'm having issues getting the phone to be adb online in recovery mode. I do adb reboot recovery and when it starts I have the loop going and I have no problem getting it to say "device offline" but when I unplug the device (no matter how long I wait) and plug it back in it still remains in "offline" status under adb devices. I've heard about driver issues and all kinds of other madness but I'm using the same computer that I used when I rooted it previously. My question is; is this something tmobile might have fixed in their ota update and am I just wasting my time continuing to try this method? If not i'm more than happy to continue to try but not if it's with no point.
Thing is you did the OTA update, so instead of following the old guide, you follow the one in the rom bible in the development section. Hope that helps.

How about you tell everyone what you are trying to do, and what you are typing in command prompt.
Android Debug Bridge....
Do you have Samsung drivers installed/setup?
Take a nice deep breath and do one learning step at a time. Android has a lot to teach. I would also encourage learning the phone use basics, reading up on things before attempting any mods. Welcome to android family.
Here is a good thread to start in.... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=790004

lol ... well i already opened another thread about how to put hebrew fonts on the phone to support hebrew instead of seing empty boxes on facebooks and websites and what not... my phone Was rooted, Was voodooed but there was force closing on things and market stopped working so i completely stocked the phone, only thing that doesnt work now is my phone memory which is on 0.00 which i read and you apparently have to root the phone all over again
so right now... the phone memory is my only issue, i guess i can live without hebrew if its too much of a hassle to install while rooted::
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=480964
i have no idea how to work this^^^
i have the drivers installed like i said, i was able to odin, root, and voodoo, clockwork as well ofcourse. now phone is completely stock except for that memory issue.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=804457&highlight=phone+memory
completely got lost in this thread... so yeah, those are my problems with the phone at the moment. i wont mention the obvious of gps etc.
another awesome issue, everytime my phone is turned off and back on, it starts that set up process all over again... language; facebook; google... etc... why?
Once you install adb on your computer you have to go to change the path on your computer to point to that folder. Or you can change your directory to the one that holds the adb file from within the command prompt. This should allow you to run the commands.
The issue you are having with the memory on your phone is because voodoo did not completely uninstall. You can fix this by running the steps in this forum to uninstall voodoo. Don't try the one step zip, you are going to have to do the three step manual method to make this work. Don't forget the final step to wipe data.
Once this is done voodoo will be gone, memory should be back, and phone should stop resetting on every boot.
Obviously you aren't the only one to ever have these issues. But you can recover.
Good luck.

Here is what I did:
Wanted to flash new ROM, [ROM] Super Clean DI01 + AOSP apps, (Thanks to everyone who worked on it AND everyone on this forum cause Ive spent the past week reading the threads and felt confident enough in the info and the support to try).
BUT
when trying to download with ODIN (not certain if this was the right method, too late now) found that it did not work, couldnt see file when looking in the PDA browse.
STUPIDLY disconnected phone from computer while in DOWNLOAD MODE. You know, when the screen says "DONT DISCONNECT FROM TARGET". Apparently, the rebus string for "you dun f*cked up" is a phone symbol... a yellow triangle w/!...computer symbol.
What do I do to get back to fun?
Tried reboot, tried CWR reboot, tried Nandroid restore w/reboot still the YDFU symbol
*EDIT* I continued searching while awaiting a response and found this thread: Stuck on connection warning screen. This got me out of the YDFU screen into a nice force loop. Since I am not a -complete noob- I pulled a nandroid backup outta my hat and ...tada back to good, now to the fun!

Stuck need help info inside

Okay lets start first I did the burritoroot following this guide http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZ88CYWv0FU
Then did the android market following his next video
afterwards I decided on getting getting custom recovery following his next guide
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqKZLMaRSgc
Around 2:30 minutes into the video my fire was stuck on please wait for over 15 minutes.
then I stupidly did lots of stuff like disconnecting it and trying to restart it and reinstalling drivers when adb didn't work
and now it is stuck on a fastboot (it says kindle fire and stays like that) as people seem to call it. I have tried reinstalling the drivers for a while it was stuck on unknown device but now it is under android and says Android ADB interface
I have tried the kindle unbrick utility but it keeps saying device not found and also adb is not found.
I have heard of this solution http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=22077057 but idk where to put the commands at
any help? can I get out of this?
First thing is stop using video guides.
Go read in the hundreds of threads started daily on your very problem.
You need to understand what you are doing quit taking the easy way out.
nvm you can close this
i found out how to do the cmd had to dl a file first and now my kindle is going back to factory reset
edit: k everything working fine

Use the terminal command if you can't use ADB... might work?
That's what I did, because AT&T stops giving you the option to not update after a couple times, and then I got stuck like you.

please learn to search and read before doing stuff on your precious phone

i did use the terminal and got into the boot loop.
Cannot perform any operation trough command because it gives me an error saying that the adb shell is error closed.
I'm now trying something else with some LG tools I found here. Hope it works, if it does, I'll repost the link here.

I'm not sure what happened for you, because the terminal command worked for me... maybe you mistyped it, or maybe you had a slightly different problem or something. Not sure.
Guys,
I finnaly managed to have my device working.
Trough ADB shell and then trough ADB I was able to copy a downloaded ROM (FLEX rom) to the device and installed it.
After a couple of hours, all is OK.
THANK YOU ALL FOR THE HELP AND INFO!!! (PS: sorry for the caps)

TWRP Stuck

I cant seem to get out of TWRP. I use adb and i used "adb boot recovery" and i cant seem to get out. The issue i think i have is that the adb keeps pushing the command to the phone. Now before you say "Just unplug the phone and reboot it"... I did that. Now it seems that the code is stuck with the phone . Iv tried to put it into TWRP my self without adw and tryed to reboot it but that didnt work. No other tread helped me. If you could tell me how to how to fix this or link me to a thread somewhere else. Its a Verizon phone.
Thanks -

if it helps: I was trying to root :good:

So you're stuck in recovery??? If so, just flash one of the Verizon based roms that should get you going.

This happened to me. I just had to use the hardware buttons to boot into recovery then reboot from there and that got me out of the loop. Not sure why that happens.
