Description
This is a VGA port of Sense 2.5.2016 from Leo S 3.04. The port currently consists of the following packages:

For some unknown reason, People port is not updated during release. I only realize this when I was cooking my own rom. This should fix the letter picker size and some other unknown parts.

30/06/2010: Programatix Sense 2.5.2016 VGA - Rel 2
This release has everything in Rel 1 including the updates for Rel 1.
Fixed alignment issue in landscape when there is no photo or music (Photo and Music tabs).
Photo tab photos and videos are now larger. Issue with CHT exists. Do not overwrite 675e2983_manila from CHT package.
Photo tab is now fully fullscreen ported. However it is slow and the bar at the bottom is not drawn properly (right corner) and I've tried the unported version and it has the same problem. To disable, put "EnableFullScreen"=dword:0 in registry. If you are using COM2, replace "Programatix.TitleBarHeight"=dword:24 with "Programatix.TitleBarHeight"=dword:34 in registry (app.reg in Core package). This will make sure the 2 buttons (open camera in photo and video buttons) are in correct position during transition. **-Update: Confirmed that the unrendered area in lower right corner also exists in WVGA device-**
Music tab fullscreen feature is half ported. I'm stopping porting it as it takes too much time and is too slow to be usable. When I have the time, I might revisit and try to improve performance by reducing the number of items shown.

This update requires Programatix Sense 2.5.2016 VGA - Rel 2.
Fixed remove quick links via menu where slot number 10, 11 and 12 cannot be removed.
Fixed quick link focus highlight wrong size.
Fixed Program list where the bottom part is a little cut out.

02/07/2010: Programatix Sense 2.5.2016 VGA - Rel 2 - Music
Thanks to TheKidzRocks' port of 2012, I found that I've missed some values in the mode9 file. The fullscreen landscape is now fully ported.
Animation from portrait to fullscreen landscape is now a smooth transition as in Photo tab.
Note: Please remove the whole Music folder in Rel2 main package and replace with this package.

Applied all updates found in Rel 2.
Fixed the fullscreen bottom bar in Photo tab (Thanks to Co0kieMonster for the tip). If you just want this fix, download it here.

Used to indicate the size of the title bar. Used for fullscreen transition in Photo and Music tabs. Set to 0x24 for small title bar or 0x34 for normal title bar (WM6.5 COM2 and WM6.1).

FAQ
Q: Weather tab restarts Sense.
A: Use the original untouched package found in post #1. Some release has missing files. You can also try adding the files posted here.
Q: In Setting tab, tapping on All Setting in the menu does nothing in WM 6.1.
A: See this post.
Q: How do I make Sense auto configure the time zone with My Location feature?
A: Go to Settings tab->Data Services and enable "Internet time sync". Now go to Weather tab and tap on Menu->Enable My Location. Tap on "Update Now" menu.
Q: Is there a way to quickly remove the shortcuts in Home, All People and Internet tabs?
A: Tap and hold on any shortcuts. When the background turns dark you can drag the shortcut out of its box/socket (it will turn red), release. It is now removed.
Q: The Photo tab is misaligned and I have CHT installed or cooked in.
A: Due to changes in code in 675e2983_manila in original 2016 files, it is now incompatible with CHT. Please do not use 675e2983_manila from CHT, instead use the one from the VGA port. In another words, do not overwrite that file.
Q: The envelope in Email tab is shortened. Why?
A: Older port (may I say mods included?) resized the images in 0656d327_manila and 32820efc_manila to make them shorter (and thinner). In 2016, I do not resize them in those two files. Instead I resize them in the code itself. If the envelope appears shortened, please use the original untouched files.

Preparation & Downloads:
Download the following packages to cook Manila 2.5.2016 VGA on your ROM .
1. Manila 2.5.2016 WVGA Package (ORIGINAL) CFC'd OR NON-CFC - Thanks to etoy
2. Manila 2.5.2016 VGA Package (PORTED) VGA PORT - REL3. - thanks to programmatix.
3. VGA EXT Packages. Download the entire and all the latest EXT packages Rollup here I packed them, but etoy, programmatix are the ones who did all the work.
Important:
- You can choose which ORIGINAL packages you want to cook CFC or Non CFC ( CFC are compressed and save memory. but it is noted that it does not improve speed of manila2.5.2016 by much. )
Now After Downloads Are Complete You Are Ready To Place These Packages In Your Kitchen [/B]
-Please not that the Twitter and Stock Tab have not been ported, so please use the older ones ( The VGA ones, which will overwrite the newer WVGA ones. ) here is the link for Stock+Twitter tabs. CFC'd-thanks to icke. non-CFC-thanks to icke.

Get the Original Tweaks From here, or here There are also some Sense MODs which you can try from here... All may Not with the VGA port.

Numbering The Directories:
Ervius Visual Kitchen will read and process the EXT directories in alphabetical order, i.e. the '010' files will overwritten by identically named files in '011',
and '011' files will be overwritten identically named files in the '012' directory, and so on.
This is the reason why numbering the VGA Packages Higher than the WVGA packages is necessary .
Then only will the VGA Packages overwrite the WVGA packages.
Similarly The Tweaks' Folders numbering should be Higher than the Ported Manila 2.5.2016 Packages'.
And You Are Ready For Cooking:
And You Are Ready, Cross Check The Steps Once Again, Execute Erviuskitchen.exe, and wait as a fresh ROM is baked with the latest cutting edge manila 2.5.2016.

Hi all! I'm posting this question here and in the old 2012 VGA port thread cuz I'm not sure which one is better.
Using 2016, as I'm sure you're aware the people page no longer has the updates & events tab. I read in the 2012 VGA port thread that it is disabled by default (in 2016?). I didn't see how to enable it. How can I enable it? I've gone through the registry and changed several Facebook values and still a no go.
I've also tried using 2012, 14 and 15 people packages and I have no all people facebook with those either, which leads me to believe that the problem is somewhere other than the actual people package?
Keep in mind that I'm using a WVGA package. I didn't think this problem would be resolution dependant.

WVGA packages are necessary to cook?
Is it possible to add it on first post?

I have Update & Events tab working in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. You have Facebook Engine and Album with Facebook Online cooked in?
EDIT: Also, do you cook in Social Networks Engine?

I'll be busy tomorrow... family life. Then I'll cook my Exquisite ROM, and then I'll update the EXT packages. I can't believe I'm doing the opposite of what people normally do... releasing my works to the public first before releasing them to my ROM users...

But I find one minor and one major issue (may be it is not general prb, not sure) mentioned at below :
1-Picture Tab :Portrait Layout is perfect. But when you compare wth Manila 2012, landscape pict and vidoes are a little bit small.
2-Weather Tab :Every time when I select "Weather Tab", Sense is launching (manila restarting)itself. As I said before, not sure if it is a general problem or if it is only related with my kitchen.
If yes, could you please give a suggestion where to look at ?

It's caused on missing 2330fc3c_manila. Had the same issue like you...then i cooked in this file from previouse port and weather tab is working like it should. Hope, this will help you.

I don't use twitter and has no account for it. Need to login to test if I ported it correctly. For the moment, I'm not into tweeting.

I'm using the original untouched package. During my test while porting, I never have restarting problem with Weather tab, except Settings tab. But it's not restarting anymore after I finished porting the Settings tab.
For Photo tab, I'll see what i can do to enlarge them.

Do you guys need a "How to cook " i can do it like i did for the 2012.... i'll try to better it..
if so i'll have to ask MOD to give me a post on first page, do let me know guys, thanks.

There are three clocks for landscape and the same three clocks for the portait mode . To toggle the view,

The reStart app gives me an error. I am worrking on it, but there is no need to install it. The

Here now the skin for the Windows Media Player Skin (HTC name = Windows Media), short WMP.
There is no CAB file at the moment, but if there are enough people who ask for that i will do so.

1. Unzip the dusk_WMP.zip file on your local PC
2. Copy the Dusk_WMP directory to -> \My Documents\Mijn afbeeldingen\ (Mijn afbeeldingen = dutch, My pictures = english)

There is normaly nothing to say for what is Resco Radio. A network streaming radio application. That's it.

Possible you have to overwrite the present files, but that is no problem.

The skin i have made is running under the core player version 1.3.5 and 1.3.6. These both versions are
tested and they are working fine. I had no other version, or better my friend. I don't use the core player.
More information about Core Player can be found on her homepage and the forum.

HTC MP3 Trimmer Skin

For the MP3 Trimmer i have made a CAB file. This CAB file can be un-installed every
time. Install at first the cab file in the HTC_MP3_Trimmer.zip file and then the
Dusk_MP3Trimmer_Skin_v1.CAB file for the skin. The next version will be one file
with the application and the new skins.

HTC Voice Recorder
With the Voice Recorder skin is something wrong. On startup the buttons are ok,
but after using the application the buttons fall back to the white background.
For that i have to research what's going on here. So the voice recorder skin will
be uploaded later.

Imortant notice:
In both cab files there is every time a file with the ending *.0409.mui. 0409
means the country code. There is a need to change this to your country code,
otherwise the applications will not starting up. Also do a soft reset after renaming
the both files. Thats important because the needed changings (file formats and
app version information) in the registry.

The first cab file that i will publish in this post is the replacement for the windows
task manager. This is the DUSK portation of the popular Showcase task manager.
This is also the replacement for those who have the old white icon top right in the
taskbar.
It is not 100% shure that this solve all your problems. There is no further support
for showcase. All issues about that must be posed in the original showcase thread.

and automatically working profile switcher. Some of the highlights are:

Manila TV Player is:
Manila TV PLayer is a tab to add in TF3D TF3D2. This add-on is based on tab from
orange tab tv i'm modificated to work with all languagues and other streams.
To install the Manila TV Player download it from netdrg's thread, install it do all
the chanings and then copy the files that are packed in the zip to the right directories
and restart manila or do a soft reset. And then have fun...

It's been made for the Rhodium, TP2 Default. There is a Topaz version as well

Okay... so I just ordered my ATT Tilt 2... it does NOT have the Sense 2.1 manilla on it. In your cab lists it states sense 2.1.... this sort of seems too good to be true. If I install this cab it will update the manila to the sense 2.1?
All my understandings have been I would have to update my rom to get this. HOWEVER I've been running a newer version of 2.1 on my fuze for a year... and they are about to port over 2.5 so I just had to ask if it was really as easy as it seems here.
I've customized my fuze (touch pro) out the wazzoo... but Im about to be totally new to winmo 6.5 and the touch pro 2.

What i can say is that the dailer is working on my Rhodium with the original ROM (please see my signature). It's the HTC Touch Pro 2. I have my phone, and two others for my family) since july this year, and the screenshots from the dailer is from my phone.

At first you must have a ROM on your phone that supports Sense 2.1. A original one or one from our cooks here. For the standard manila 2.1 version please take a look here for the defaults and here for the add-ons.

It is really easy if you have used the original ROM from HTC that is published in the last few weeks until today. All my tests i have done with a naked clean phone. Means 1st the ROM update the 2nd the DUSK stuff, and that, i think, is an easy way for everyone to do that. I can't say at the moment how dusk reacts have you installed other themes, but in the first thought you have to de-install all the other stuff. But better in that way is to hard reset the phone.
When you have a custom ROM that will be ported, i only can say test it.
Isn't it running well, you can de-install the cab files all the time.
It is running well, please report that here and i will add this to the first post.

Important Notes
Radio Requirements: As this ROM is entirely based off 1.72, you can install any radio you want. I recommend the 2.09 versions.
The use of BSB tweaks is not advised on my ROM, as it will overwrite some performance enhancements and other settings with default values.
Most of the more useful tweaks are already included, and any others can easily be found and installed by CABs.
Users of HQ up to and including 1.54 are advised to install the HQ Special Patch (attached to this post) for the newest video drivers and best possible graphics performance. If you currently have a chainfire patch installed, remove it first.

Whats going on in the kitchen?
So you would like to know whats going on in the kitchen at the moment, well here are my ROM and non ROM related ramblings.
Date - 2/4/10
Things to do-
- Work with diego on new project (super special secret)
- Modify special project for HQ 2.16 levels of performance
Things im changing (cryptic clues)
- New Project - New name - New Chefs- thinking of ideas
Looking for new chefs to share development with, this seems to be becoming a sort of community project, which is really great
lost of stuff going on!

Just what is needed to keep the HD2 running as it should, a clean base to customise as one would like.
One of the quickest flashes I have witnessed, which is a good indication of what is missing
Up and running within 5 minutes and early indications show it to be fast and stable. Will customise to how I like and update on stability.
Love the reorganised start menu too.
One pointer - in the office mobile folder is a second folder titled "icon" that I believe should not be present.

yeah, i have noticed the "icon" icon, and honestly, i dont know what it was/is for, since in a basic 2.10 its not there but the office apps (and number of them) are the same.
it can be deleted in file explorer, btw EDIT- no it cant! i will look into this, but for the moment, just ignore, it wont cause a problem

i removed my location (see first post - i edited it after you posted cos i forgot )
i can cook it back in for the next build, no problem. for the moment, set you city manually and weather shoudl update just fine

Do you have the silly 'SMS sent' notification in this ROM? If not, I might give this a blast as I like my ROMs clean and stock looking

OK, just flashed it - first thing is the setup wizard doesn't kick in on first boot (after hard reset). Also, WMDC doesn't see it plugged in, whereas all past ROMs have...I'll continue on for now and let you know

OK, rebooted PC and WMDC connected so thats fine - not having the connection setup is weird as I don't know where all the different settings are but getting my head around it. And some icons look a bit blocky but it's quick

there is no first time setup wizard! (why waste 4mb of rom space just for a wizard that sets the time and date? )
WMDC? if you mean activesync my 3 computers (pc for cooking, work pc and work netbook) all see my phone running 0.71 when i plug it in!
EDIT: i see you mean the connection setup wizard? works just fine on mine! ?? did you mtty / hard reset? perhaps thats what you need to do?

Did a hard reset, always do, and as I flash without my SIM card in I like to set the phone up before putting it in. fair enough taking the wizard out - just trying to find all the settings!!
EDIT: weather has turned up now on Home screen

First Let me say, Everyone has different taste. This is why we have so many different ROM's to choose from. Most all of the ROM's here are good and I find it just comes done to personal preference. Some people like black others don't, some like ROM's ready to go out of the box, others don't and want to configure themselves etc etc. I'm going to try to have 2 versions. Regular which will have a lot of things removed and can be installed through Preset Installer (Faster). And one preloaded ready to go after flash.
This ROM is made with the base of TMOUS 2.10 ROM and some changes from the stock ROM. It uses the Latest MS builds and a few customizations. With some of my personal start menu organization. I like a clean start Menu. I have made some tweaks for speed and stability. I find that our HD2 is already plenty fast for any user so there is no need to cut up and gut out our ROM's to gain some small amount of unnoticeable improvement. I also like to give users the choice in how they like to configure there ROM which is why I use Preset Installer. There will be Many programs you can install from Preset Installer instead of having them built in. For some people it makes device more suitable if trying to use Chinese input to not include the WWE Keyboard, but have it available to others. The other reason is when using Extendir, every program that is installed after flash gains from the Extendir performance. I have added a few apps, and a few removed. You can load them from cabs found here on XDA or Through Preset Installer. Or let me know and I can provide it for you.

Which ROM is right for me?
Preloaded Version: Comes with most all software and apps and is ready to go after flash.
Preload is also a Full version of HTC Sense With all Languages included.
Preload also is good for users who wish to apply themes and or add and remove manila mods etc.
Regular Version: Rom is a light base ROM that can be customized to anyone needs through Preset Installer. This ROM is also faster because all the apps loaded after flash benefit from the Extendir performance increase.
Many of the stock and custom apps have been removed for installation through Preset Installer.
Manila is less than half the size of the ship ROM. More than 3000 files are removed from the windows folder with this version.
Manila is cfc compressed, and all Lang files except WWE are removed.
Manila mods are uninstallable, if you uninstall a manila mod you will have to reinstall manila again from Preset Installer. (Not a big deal only 2 min)

How to install?:
Copy the Extendir folder found in download to the root of your storage card. Flash the ROM as usual, Soft Reset, then go to Applications folder in Start Menu and select Preset Installer. When Preset Installer comes up you can click next and install the programs or utilities you want by checking the boxes for each program. You can Also choose from one of the Preset Configuration Like Full Install, Minimal Install etc. Then Click next and then install. NOTE: A box with a bold check will install automatically to Device, if it has a faded check this means you will be prompted for install location. This is needed for programs that require user intervention like FingerKeyboard etc. Don't let device go to sleep during install!!. Device will reboot after installation. You can remove any of the programs as needed from the Remove programs in System. I have made some new .cab files with shortcuts to my Start Menu folders structure. So if you try to use these cabs on another ROM it likely will not work. Read the install instructions inside the Extendir folder. WARNING do not copy or redistribute any of the cabs found in my Extendir Folder. I name them with LIA to distinguish them as being modified for my ROM. Some of these apps are proprietary and can cause trouble if posted somewhere else.

WARNING 1: There is no HTC Sense or Manila going to come up after Flash. It is installed after flash if you want, with Preset Installer. Except Preload version.
WARNING 2: The New HTC Sense builds are still unofficial and there may be bugs.
WARNING 3: Perform a Hard Reset, and then a Soft Reset before running Preset Installer
WARNING 4: Read the Installation Instructions found in Extendir folder.
WARNING 5: Manila Mods will work if designed for the 2012 builds. They may cause problem if you uninstall them. See Install Instructions. The good new is you can reinstall Manila again if you have any issues.
WARNING 6: Read the instructions and this thread carefully. I take no responsibility for any harm to your device. Flash at your own risk.
WARNING 7: 16gb Storage cards are known to cause problems with newer TMOUS Test ROM's
WARNING 8: It is recommended to use one of these Radio's before flashing to prevent problems with Hang at HTC Screen. 2.07.50.27_2, 2.08.50.08.02
WARNING 8: Check which HSPL you need first before flashing. TMOUS 512 or 1024 mb RAM. Each requires a different HSPL
Known Bugs:
Theme not applied fully after Flash: If you get a default background and the LIA Theme does not seem to be applied just change to another theme and back to LIA Theme, then soft reset and everything should be ok.
Regular Version Only Screen Refresh after soft reset: If you see HTC Sense Loading after soft reset just tap the screen and see if it comes up.
Screen Refresh Issue:Start Menu shortcuts may not show until soft reset. When copy\cut and paste you may have to go out of the folder then back to view the file. This is a small issue due to the new Extendir V2 beta. Will be resolved in future version.

I'd like to give it a try after I got HD2, but I have to be sure HKSCS characters can be displayed and input (at least using ChangJie). Since CHT is based on Taiwan version, HKSCS character may be excluded.

If it possible have Traditional Chinese display and Traditional Chinese Input. That would be great for me.

I will see how the first version goes then I may make a version for CHS and CHT

Or any build for that matter... and after doing some reading of other threads, I've found that you've commented a few times in regards to this topic. Do you have any insight on HOW TO actually carry this out? If so, can something like that be changed via registry?

Definitely interested in the CHT version as well. I tried extracting the 7z file but the bobsbbq password doesn't seem to work. Is there an updated password?

The password should be bobsbbq if it is not working please let me know and which mirror it is and I will check it.
All ROM's in the section are TMOUS compatible. My other ROM's should be as well but I use a little different reg file on these versions. My other version use the Operator package from the Asia ROM and these versions here use the original from the TMOUS ROM. The only difference are some settings which may or may not be a issue. Opera settings for help and other TMOUS my account settings etc.

There is a small app called the pagepool changer. Just do a search here on xda and run it and change the page pool to whatever you like. You will put this app in the same folder as the RUU_Signed.nbh file then run it. I don't recommend going any higher than what I have it set to now which is 20. You can lower it if you wish but I set it at what I feel is the best.

Well it is possible Actually you could take the graphic image and edit it in Photoshop to take it out. Just look in windows for a file named abb_Softkeybar.png you have to have file explorer set to show all files to see it.
Or you can use the original one attached just rename it to abb_Softkeybar.png

This ROM Series is now going to be offered in 2 versions, with the default build being the Standard Lost in Asia Look. With all standard icons and no other customizations other than some nice apps.
Then a New version called "Touch of GLASS". With all glass theme icons, clock, manila slider etc. This new theme will be made with new GLASS theme and Icons. See this Thread for more information.

EDIT: Was installing the most recent version of you ROM the other night, with the lovely new DINIK icons. Had an idea for the regular version - most of the icons from the Start Menu are stored as .png files in \Windows. Can you create an \Extendir\Windows\Icons folder and have them all installed in there? Much like the Manila folder, it would tidy up the main Windows folder a bit, and would also be easier to check which icons you have available (I copied over all of DINIKs icons so I can fill in any missing ones I have).

Oops, missed the reg setting sorry. Use Regedit in the tools folder and change the following:

Notes on transparent task and softkey bars:
I've edited the shell32.exe and aygshell.dll files of my roms to have 0 opacity in the task and softkey bar areas. As well as that I've removed the task and softkey bar png's from the default WM 6.5 theme. Effectively this leaves the bar areas empty. As manila only sets its wallpaper on the area used by itself it's advisable to use the same wallpaper in your WM Today settings and manila as it will be the WM wallpaper that shows in the 'bar areas. You can do this by choosing the same wallpaper in Sense (Menu>Weather Wallpaper) and WM (Settings>Today>Use This Picture...) or using this method: Take a 480x800 jpg, rename it to "stwater_480_800.jpg" and make a copy and rename it "homebackground.img". Use Total Commander (in the Tools folder) and copy both files to your Windows dir then soft reset to change wallpapers (use this method if you have alignment issues on the Start Menu).
Another problem you may discover is if you change the WM theme (Settings>Today>Select a Theme) it will add it's own task and sofkey bar png's. Use the "millski Clear SoftKey+Task Bars Images.cab" from my cab repository to clear them again

Just hit a few snags with the Huashan comm manager and wifi, am rebuilding with Leo components to fix the problem - sorry for the delay!

Hey millski, great to see you've got yourself an HD2, and even better that your cooking ROMs for it and us too! I'm happy enough with my OzROMs (been using them for nearly 3 months now after a mix of Dutty's and miri's beforehand). That said, as I recall how brilliant and helpful you have been particularly on the Max Manila stuff over a long period of time, then I think it's inevitable that I should try a rom or two of yours sometime soon. In the meantime, best wishes with your roms and it's great having you around again!

576mb RAM is enabled (I mentioned it in the rom notes above ). A 6.5.x version will follow. I intend to use the Huashan notifications on the 6.5.x version, as it adds a task manager to the notification screen (this appears to be HTC's solution for 6.5.x devices). In theory it should all work without any trouble but you never know...

Sorry for the hold up, I discovered a few last minute errors late last night while it was uploading so I stopped the upload and went hunting through the registry. Got it all fixed (I hope, lol) and the upload is currently at 20%...

good job, btw any chance to make wm6.5.x

Fix for broken HTC Volume Control on Amelia X1 added to post#2 under "Bugs". For the 3 people who've downloaded A.X1 so far download and install 1 of 6Fg8's taskbars from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=625465 to fix the problem
