Hi All,
I have installed MoDaCo Froyo FRF72 ROM, but what like to get rid of the horrible grey status bar etc.
I have tried a couple of Nexus one themes eg Nexus blue but none work, either I get a repeating HTC boot or the phone goes dead (requiring removal of the battery). Luckily I always have a Nandroid backup.
Are there any compatible themes that will actually work with these 'latest' Froyo ROM's??
All the best
John
NexTheme works.
I also attached the black status bar for FRF72 (first boot takes a LONG while - I ended up pulling battery) and the stock one, in case something breaks.
Many thanks,i'll give it a go!

I have the newest cyanogenmod 4.2.5 but after a while of my phone being on i notice that i cant pull down my notification bar and even if i press menu from the home screen and press notification it wont come down. Also, i have noticed that my screen while time out and go black in the middle of me scrolling. Can anyone suggest a way to fix this? Thanks
try to reflash
Thanks! but how exactly do i reflash? i just learned how to do all of this maybe 2 days ago so i'm still really new to everything.
Did you install any lock-screen apps? I noticed that when I installed those, sometimes my notification bar would get stuck.
On the other hand, you can reflash by reinstalling Cyanogens rom.

Looks good, will try out soon
Blue's my fav colour
looks very nice
Looks awesome I like blue btw what does your notification drawer look like when you pull it down? anychance is it like J("a)so.nExo Rom v0.22 *BLUE update? with the blue android robot in the corner? that would be sweet This is what it look like, I pull it out from his Rom:
Would I be able to flash this over Official sense froyo ROm v1.0c?
Looks good, hope the upload is done soon
Upload is done. I just need to create an add-on fix for the bugs I found overnight.

This uses stock white background.
As to flashing it over a different ROM. I don't know. It could make the phone unusable so LollyROM is recommended.

how do I go about customising this theme on the Rom i'm using?
If the ROM is FRF91 base then you could just flash the two zips, but some apps may still be green. To use on a different base you would have to edit every and each apk. The quickest method is using XnView and converting RGB to GBR.
wallpaper please.

Thank you!
but I have one bug with checkbuttons (see screenshot)
I am aware of this bug but I will not be fixing it since it's a small bug and I would rather keep the checkboxes blue.
hi,
I'm using coredroid 3.2 with the animated patch now(after using ARHD for quite some time) and I really like it.
one thing that's missing is the power control on the notification bar
when I bring it down I can see that there's a wide black line - I guess, where the power control was suppose to be. but I can't see it
I edited the notification_config and it's all good but I still can't see it
does anyone know what is it that I'm missing ?
thanks.
I'm not so familiar with coredroid but is the power notification supposed to in the rom from the beginning? If not, you could try flashing one of these:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=947680
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=894837
You could also try kalagas mixed theme.
The flash must of gone wrong because there is a power mod in V3.2. Did you edit the widget.txt or something before flashing? If so, then don't edit it until you get the build running. I've never seen it not show up so something must of not copied over correctly.
thanks for the replies
This was because I've flashed the stock version and then the theme patch.
I've flashed the themed version and the power notification appeared..
but do you guys have any problem with the gps, I can't get any lock without restarting or re-downloading locations.. that's really pissing me off
and one other issue that bugs me is the com.htc.bgp that simply kills my battery, anyone encounter that?
NOTE: Do Not Apply this mod for Alpha 3, it screws up the status bar. You have been warned. I will see if i can recompile it for Alpha 3, makes it tougher without sources.
Initially i did this mod for my I9000 which was running CM7.1 and i was only seeing carrier numbers instead of names. I have ported this to CM7.1 for HP touchpad. Flash this file in cwm recovery.
When booted up you should see an additional setting in cyanogenmod settings called CustomSettings, tap that to open custom carrier text, tap that and enter whatever you want to show on the lockscreen and notification bar. Press done.
Install the attached notificationrestart.apk and open it, give it root access, press restart and wait for the notification bar to restart. This is to avoid restart of the tablet before you see the new settings apply. Voila, you should see what you put in the custom name. Have fun and hit the thanks button if you like it. Cheers.
If for some reason your status bar looks wonky after a while use this to get back to original stuff. I changed the dpi to 182 using nitrality app and the wonkiness seems to be gone. I am using iKandee theme from market.

I'll give this a shot. Is there an option (perhaps in the future) to place a .png file where the carrier text is? Similar to MIUI? Just curious.
Ok. dl'ing now. I'll report back.
EDIT: It works! My only issues
A) The notificationrestart.apk installed, but didn't seem to do anything. I didn't notice the change until after I rebooted the device.
B) I'm now seeing the 3G bar in the corner (see the image). Is there a way to keep the custom text, but not show the signal bars?

May be. I will look into it at a later time, no promises. If the status bar gets wonky, set dpi to 182 and see if it happens. For me its perfect at 182 (which is what my phone is it)

For now no. once cm team publishes source I will recompile with that.that well solve these issues. Did you run the notification restart app? I had to wipe data of that apk using titanium backup and it worked fine after that. 182 dpi works fine. Anything less than that status bar gets wonky.

I attempted, but it did not run. Did not ask for root privileges either. I simply rebooted and it showed the text change.

Ya, once you wipe data using titanium back up it will ask for root privileges. Not sure why. 182 and higher dpi works fine.

screen shots are from my phone which runs Insanity Rom and its theme.
The screenshot that I posted is in fact my TP. I'm using the Transformer theme from HERE. It ties in with CM's ThemeChanger. It'll notify you that it's not meant for your device, just do it. As you can see it works fine.

thank u sir!
@krarvind
thanks for this! no issues on my TP so far.
as a little test i flashed this to my T-MoUS HD2 Leo since i could never find a way to set a custom carrier label.
it works great on there as well - with one side effect on the lockscreen. any chance this can be fixed? i just did it on a whim since it's cm7 i figured it couldn't do to much damage. no problems on the status bar, just the lock screen.
i know it wasn't built for this device so don't answer if you don't want to
the top near my label shows a graphic from i don't know where.

I have no idea where that comes from and i don't have your device, so i can't really fix it i think. if you want to roll back, all you need to do is open up my zip files and replace the app and framework files with the ones from the rom for your phone ( not from your phone as it has mine now).
Cheers
For some reason whenever i try to boot a custom carrier label my Touchpad never boots up... it just hangs on the cyanogen mod boot animation and requires a hard reset... followed the instructions perfectly. anyone have the same issue?
after some messing around i got it to boot up for me. then the notification bar went "wonky" used the nitrality app to adjust the dpi. works fine. what is the default dpi again?....

No idea why you have these issues. dpi is 182. Anything above that works fine. Remember I don't have the sources to compile it for touchpad, so I did my best to get it
working

Screwed up my notification bar, the resolution is way off and battery percentage is gone. Cyanogenmod won't let me add it either?? The OriginalLabel.zip doesn't have battery percentage either for some reason. Guess I'll do a restore in Recovery. Thanks for trying though.
Hi guys,
I've been running CM 13 for a while on my moto x play. I've had no problems with it until this last update and installing some themes.
After updating it, I downloaded some themes, applied them and received the "system ui has crashed" or something message on screen.
After this the wallpaper has turned black (no change if I try to change it manually), the animations for the lower bar (triangle, dot, square) are not showing, dragging the upper status bar takes several seconds to show, when my cellphone is unlocked the response of the system is extremely extremely slow. If I drag my fingers up to unlock it, it will take a long time. The funny thing is besides these, there are no problems apparently. If i go to settings, things run smoothly, chrome, facebook, whatsapp, etc. but any interaction with: status bar, lower bar, locked screen is extremely slow.
I mistakenly thought it was an update bug or smth and reinstalled a past update, but issues remain.
What happened and how can I correct this?
Well you said it yourself that the problems started after applying a theme. Did you try to reset to the system default theme?
Also never downgrade CM versions because that will only cause more problems than solving them.
If nothing helps I would recommend a clean installation because I don't have any problems with CM13 and any themes. Also some themes require a restart after applying.
Same thing happened to me as well. The status bar was not to be seen and there was no wallpaper. Did a clean installation and it was all ok. I am not sure which themes were installed back then.. But if you could share the ones that you installed, it might help!
