I'm Downloading Now... Any Vodafone Customer know of the differences?
Confused!!!!
This has all of the markings of the ROM that I have already upgraded to. Why would that happen?
File name slightly different - But all of the figures marry up... feel like I'm being duped......

The previous version of the ROM has the following note:
"This update is for O2 UK devices currently on ROM version 1.43.206.4 only"
The latest version of the ROM (which you're talking about) doesn't have that restriction, suggesting they've improved it so that it can update any previous O2 ROM versions.
I thought there was only everone previous o2 ROM from November 2009, hence why many were waiting for that update and not hspl-ing?
Here's what I have - as I flashed last night
Sprite Backup Registered the Flash as a new ROM when I went to restore.

yep. thatisn't new. aside from all the version numbers matching mine, the rom date is a giveaway.

I have tmobile mda from usa and i SIM Unlocked and CID Unlocked it using the 0.2b unlocker from machinagod.
1) Which is the latest OFFICIAL Rom i should upgrade to?
2) Which is the latest Unofficial Rom to upgrade to?
3) Going by version numbers the Dopod WWE Rom seems to be newest official ROM, is this correct?
Also an imate NL (dutch) rom seems newest, but will it be Enlglish?
4) I installed the official cingular rom on my tmo mda a shortwhile back as i did not have enought guts to try those unofficial ones from sumitter or xelecin or Mr.clean. Which one is the best of all?

Latest official t-mobile rom - and do soft reset before t-mobile extras install so U have a leaner install.

From the second rom you will get all you need - ad2p support, aku2.3 - able to remove battery from startbar etc...
Overall I believe in sticking with your own operators latest rom as that seems to give less problems. If you see the numerous posts with people having problems with different operator posts you will know what I mean. Also dont chop and change roms - its a risky business and you could end up with a brick. The dutch rom you mention will be in dutch not english so no good.

Been a while since I've been on here and it would seem there has been a whole load of ROM updates since I have had my Vario. Had a look in the FTP site and theres a whole selection to choose from!
Just wondered if some kind soul could advise which is the best ROM to update to?
According to my phone, I currently have:
ROM version 2.16.9.1 WWE
ROM date : 2/6/06
Radio version : 02.07.10
Protocol version : 413.1.03
ExtROM version : 2.16.9.101
Its an I-Mate ROM currently, but I don't care which ROM I put on it, as long as its the latest stable version available.
Also, is there a 'clean' version of the latest ROM? ie no crap in the extended ROM.

i am new to this site and new to this mobile (o2 xda mini its htc made), i got this from my brother who rarely uses it.

i know that are postings regarding new rom and upgrades, but i dont understand all this tech stuff, it will be helpfull if someone just give me the link from where to download the latest rom in english. that works well

I have a tmobile mda and i downloaded the new radio rom 2.47 and it tells me i cant use that udate utility. Help anyone. thanx
Just got off the phone with tmo and their going to email me the unlock code and instructions on how to do it for my mda( 24-72 hours) after i unlock I'll ask more questions . I been reading around and it seems your phone has to be unlocked for most of these roms to work. So I'll be back in a few days!!
Hi I have a new UK Virgin HD2 2 days ago. I have updated all the updates currently showing on the official HTC website HD2 support page, (the camera one nicely got rid of the pink !) except for the ROM upgrade.
My question is does my HD2 have newer ROM than the latest one on HTC website please.
Details From the HTC website download title are as follows. Release Date: 2009-12-09

My HD2 software information reads as follows

so it looks to me as though my Protocol and Radio Versions I have on my HD2 are already newer although the Rom version number appears the same. Should I do the flash upgrade please.?

I have a Tmobile branded HD2 (written on Top) from UK with flash size of 512 Mb. I bought it unlocked from a friend of mine who is in UK and now using it in India. The phone works fine here and I recently did HSPL 2.08.HSPL and also flashed a new Radio Rom 2.15.50.14. Till now the phone is working fine but I have not flashed any custom ROM.
The ROM version on my phone is old -- 1.48.405.2 (71294) WWE. I looked for ROM updates on HTC UK site at http://www.htc.com/uk/supportdownloadlist.aspx?p_id=297&act=sd&cat=2 with my serial number HT9CANW03052.
To my surprise the update for Tmobile UK was not available for me where as simple HD2 without any carrier mentioned allowed to download the update.
I want to know whether my phone will get locked to Tmobile or Bricked if I flash the official HTC ROM from UK. And also can I flash Indian Stock ROM on my HD2
