Please help!!!!!
Two days ago, my HD2 was hang after a series of web surfing. as usual, I remove the battery to hard boot the phone hope to clear the memory. Then Problem:
Only HTC logo display without "quietly brilliant", it did show the ROM, Radio version,
R 2.06.51.07
G 15.30.50.07
D 1.48.71294
and never go further to Window. Wait for about two minutes, the screen start blinking. Try the factory reset, reset progress well, yet the phone start the same problem.
remove the battery, start with bootloader, it can connect with computer (changing serial to USB at bootloader when connecting to the cable). but the WMDC can not see the device.
It still uses SPL-1.42.HSPL XE. Try to upgrade to HSPL2.08, it would not allow me to do so. I guess I need to downgrade to 1.42.0000 first. however, I just don't know what is my "official" ROM is.
I thought it might be corrupted ROM, so find a few different ROM to upgrade, such as ROM 1.66 (Taiwan version), it can change the ROM, but the same problem. Now it is upgraded to the "latest" ROM, and still the same problem
R 2.10.50.26
G 15.39.50.07U
D 2.13.90963 8G
Please help my poor soul and HD2 as well. I really hope it is not hardware issue.

hi.
i got this p3300 and it doesnt fully turn on.After i press power in remains stuck on the boot screen : the one with the HTC logo and info about the rom:
IPL 1.12.0001
SPL 1.12.0000
GSM 02.67.90
OS 1.12.0.0
I tried to flash rom but it fails at 2 or 3% saying image file corruputed which i think its right because i dont think it was unlocked so you can write any rom you want.
I also tried USPL but that i get "NO devive connected" so i cant unlocked my device to write a proper rom into it.
I did all the above with the device in boot mode (record button+reset).
Any ideea?Pls help.
Thank you!
?
tried flashing with HTC_1.12.405.01_026790_WWE_SHIP says invalid model...
T-Mobile dead loop ?
I have similar problem with my artemis. I have a HTC P3300 from T-Mobile. It started with switching itself out, then it didn't want to boot, then it began to hang on bootscreen and at the moment i cannot start it at all (even the battery is fully charged and it is pluggen in my PC).
I suspect that T-mobile build in a dead loop somewhere in the software or hardware. It looks very suspicious to me that both mdas i had from T-Mobile start to make problems exactly a month or or two after the warranty is expired. and the problems develop in the same way in deteriorating manner.
It could be that the hardware cannot take it anymore and it starts to deteriorate exactly after the second year (handy for two years contracts).
Does anyone similar experiences or anyone solved that problem.
Sorry mates I cannot provide you with any info about my PPC (radio, rom version etc.) because I simply cannot get so far to be able to see that information.
Looking forward hearing from you

Have you tried the CMON USPL? It's on Shady's ROM (the lite one) run this first! Be in Bootloader. Hold the Record Key (left key) and by holding that press Power key to switch on! Then try to Update your ROM
First, sorry mods if this is in the wrong section, I'm still new round these parts
Anyway, In preparation for a radio update and cooked ROM flashing I tried to install HSPL 1.42 using DFT HSPL2 for Leo. All seems to be fine as the phone enters the bootloader and I choose my HSPL type, problem is that the install never seems to happen: the install status bar just goes back and forth indefinitely. Soft reseting the phone returns it to normal.
Details:
Model: HD2 T8585 (900mhz/2100mhz)
SPL: 1.42.0000
ROM: 1.66.405.2 WWE
Radio: 2.06.51.07
What's gone wrong? I've installed as admin, tried rebooting, installing 1.62/2.08 all to no avail. Sorry if it's a simple solution to a common problem, but I couldn't find any previous relevant help.
enter bootloader manually, wait for serial to become usb then run hspl.
try all different usb ports, especially stay away from ports in the front of your pc. use one around back.
(and just cos you can flash from a particular port doesn't mean hspl will work on that port.)
Thanks for the reply but unfortunately your solution didn't work.
All of this trouble early on is making me think I'm going to brick my baby, especially when you see all those Youtube comments with bricked phones by the barrel full.
To be fair, Youtube commenters often have the reading ability of toddlers...
Hello, I itried to install a rom not suitable fot T-mous and I can't recover the phone since Then. It's possible to help me out? I became really sad without my hd2.
I tried to install several different roms (official and others), everything seems fine but when it reboots goes to the white screen and reboots...when i enter bootloader shows:

0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x40
Still charges through usb and the led is working but when i disconnect it from the pc..Turns off instantly
PLLLLSSSS Help me out through this issue
a plus point of it, ITS NOT BRICKED
DONT DO **** TILL PEOPLE SAY WHAT 2DO..
otherwise you will brick it...(trust me selfexperience, bricked my)
when its bricked, you cant do ****, the phone doesnt turn on, NOTHING happends.
just w8 till some nice people who have some experience want to help you (and me stuck with spl-3.03.0000)
So dont do anything yet!!
Firstly try switching on the phone without the SD Card installed.
If that doesn't solve your problem then:
Go to HTC's website and download a TMOUS ROM (preferably the 2.10 ROM) - you need to use your phone's serial number to get to download the ROM. If you get an invalid message, then you are trying to download a ROM not suitable fro your phone.
Press and hold the Volume Down button then tap the Power button. You are now in Bootloader Mode. Connect to the PC and the 'Serial' at the bottom of the screen will change to 'USB'.
Run the ROM. Just tick the box about ActiveSync.
If in future you are going to run a custom ROM, then check that it is suitable for a TMOUS. Only flash RADIOs with a .50 in it and above 2.07.50.
None of the suggestions...worked...Tried to boot without tha sd inserted...Noresult...And I have installed the two official versions of the T-mobile again with no result )):
Any other suggestions///????
Thanks ):
Sounds like quite a predicament. Have you tried any of the NAND android roms? Maybe a different os might get the phone to act differently.
I'm not going to say that this will work, but if it doesn't you should be able to hard reset back to a windows mobile os you have used previously by doing what you have done up until now with flashing them back on afterwards, putting you back to your current situation.
do a task 29. and try reflashing. (google "mtty for hd2" to perform task 29 )
Dear expert,
I bought my htc hd2 in saudi Arabia. I had reset this phone by mistake by clicking on value added button and after that a language prob appeared. Anyways one of my friends flashed my phone with new english language rom for ease and install anderiod as well but the only issue was, when i was using internet, it was getting heat and resetart itself.
So I thought that it might be a problem of anderiod with windows, what i did was, i remove and formated the sd card first on my pc then inserted into my phone and flash it with the same rom, but after that my phone doesn't boot fully upto home screen. It does go to the boot option where we get the different strips of color like red green blue and white with some info on the screen like (note: I don't know what these were originally but now all these info are what depicted belwo)
PB81100 SS-BC, SPC-2.08.HSPL 8G XE, 0X05, CotullaHSPL 05X0 and USB
but doesn't start fully after reseting, always freez at the white screen with htc and nothing else:-(
Till now I tried different forum tips for the help, flashed many times with different rom but still the same prob, doesn't completely start upto home screen, always freezed as mention above.
Please help me, what should I do, so that my phone become as it was originally?
Which version of rom or some other software i should download and try to flash it and from where i should download the correct one.
Some of the infos of my phone are as follows,
htc hd2
SN: SH06PNW02764
Firstly, remove your serial number.
Now, if you want your device "as originally as it was" you need to download HSPL Package and remove HSPL 2.08 from your phone.
By the way, what radio are you using?
Is that a US T-Mobile version or another Vendor version !? as your serial number does not pull up a ROM selection on HTC's website !
With device correctly identified we can probably find a ROM & try flash via SD might be good option should you want HSPL ect all removed in one flashing step
Problem does sound more like quite common mainboard fault experienced by quite a few users of multiboot HD2s, but lets hope not ....
Hi All
Could do with some help here - I've got some info through searches etc, but most bricked HD2's seem to be through OS installations etc. The issue I've got is probably not that much different, but I'd appreciate any advice.
My totally stock HD2 has bricked itself. I got it as an insurance replacement for an O2 HD2 about 14 months ago, and from memory it isn't tied to O2.
I was browsing the interweb when the screen went 'sideways' - no problems I thought, just soft boot it....
Did that, screen rebooted as white with some black squares......
Current symptoms:-
On power on or soft reboot (red button/battery out) it restarts to a white screen.
Hard reboot has worked, but it still restarts to a white screen.
If I plug in the USB mains charger it gives a red light, but battery doesn't get warm, which I previously remember it doing on mains charge.
No connection to Win Mobile Dev Centre
I can start into the bootloader screen, details are:
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL 3.03.000 XE
MicroP (LED) 0x05
MicroP(Touch) 0x50
Bootloader can differentiate between USB & serial connection in the white section, when connected to PC.
I've tried a ROM update via HTC website RUU (albeit without the WMDC connection), both O2 3.14.206.1 & WWE 3.14.405.2 give a 270 error code - corrupted ROM.
My next idea is to try the SD flash method on the original 2GB SD card with leoimg.nbh from O2 RUU or WWE, extracted via WinRar, I'm a bit concerned about the battery power though - no way of checking current charge. I'd probably try it leaving the mains USB in.
As I said, any thoughts or guidance would be appreciated
Cheers

yes sd flash should be your next stop, and the phone should charge (albeit at normal speed, not fast charge like when winmo is running.) when left on the bootloader screen.
Thanks Sam
Tried the SD flash, O2 ROM says not allowed, WWE 3.14.405.2 comes up as:-
00018003
LEOIMG.nbh - FAIL
Radio V2 Fail
RCUST -
BOOTLOADER -
SPLASH1 -
OS -
CONFIGDATA -
Update Terminal
UPDATE FAIL
Next thing to try is probably HSPL installation followed by a custom ROM, OTOH I think this phone is dead - starting to feel like a hardware problem.

stuck radio.
pretty common error.
basically, the bootloader/spl/radio area gets corrupted, and you get one some or all of teh following symptoms
1 - stock roms fail to flash with the error Radio V2 Fail
2 - custom roms flash and work
3 - custom roms flash but dont boot
4 - flashing hspl 'seems' to work, but nothing changes
5 - nothing flashes at all
solutions
there isn't one. sometimes the user solves it by trying again and again to flash, sometimes trying the earlier correct stock roms for that particular phone
(so, for example an o2 uk phone, try the 1.43, 1.72 and 3.14 o2 roms ((note that for unbranded phones, teh version sequence is 1.43 1.66 and 3.14)))
, sometimes with the addition of using the freezer trick, and eventually it flashes, however (and its a big 'however') more often than not nothing fixes it, except JTAG, andf even then there have been a few failures with JTAG, in such cases one presumes its hardware corruption that can't be fixed even by JTAG.
This is all just theory, there are TONS of threads about it, and very very few have a happy ending.
next step
get the correct stock roms for your carrier/region and try flashing them from sd card using the freezer trick. If its gonna work, thats the most likely way to succeed.
