Possible solution to SOD - XPERIA X1 General

friends, I think I found the fault and the solution is very simple,
but bring their sacrifices.
I noticed, after reinstalling the ROM of Energy and the Valkyrie
problem is the RAM.
Both ROM that I testing works fine, but the
problem is that once occupied much of the available storage
on phone, the system becomes slower and begin to appear
the SOD
I tried first with the Valkyrie ROM (x1_firestorm_v6.7.23121LEO-Extender), which only gave me around
170MB of space to install programs. Then, after going down to
100mb, began the issue of SOD.
Then, I tried the ROM of Energy
(Energy.XPERIA.21905.Sense2.5.Cookie.Dinik.Glass.Jun.07) and gave me 250mb
about programs available for use on the computer.
Some applications installed on your computer, to get to 200MB, began
SOD in the ROM
Conclusion:
- By occupying lot of RAM available to install applications, the system
becomes unstable and begins to fail
- The first indication of possible SOD is when the system slows down,
especially the HTC Sense 2.5
Unfortunately the solution to SOD in an already corrupt, is a HARD
RESET, as in Windows Mobile 6.5 is not possible to modify the space
assigned to RAM or installation of applications, as it was in Windows
Mobile 2003.

[wizard] temporary memory amount boost...

Yup, its possible to have 36-37 mb mem free.
procedure:
-we need oxios hibernate shortcut on today, launcher etc.
-you must click hibernate after soft reset before memory stabilizes..
-after mem is stabilized, you need to launch task manager 2.7, and find ov9650.dll (camera) in devices - and choose "stop" from menu.
- after device stops, click hibernate once more.
of course, only crucial thing is to turn off camera device from taskman...but whole thing alltogether is best method if application is not able to start just because of lack of mem.
Camera won't work anymore.... until you do soft reset - it will activate camera again.

RAM(Program) Memory 336.97MB or 448MB???

I have got a HD2 but would like to know what my program/RAM memory size should be?
Mine seems to have 336.97MB as shown in the screenshot below...but the official specification for the HD2 states that i should have 448MB.
Could people please check their devices and report below what size they have?

It's been reported several times. You have 448 installed but not all of that memory is available to applications, some memory is used for system critical components and possibly video. You can think about it this simplified way: your operating system allocates memory to applications, but when you turn your device on, it's not even loaded yet. And even during boot time you need things like display driver, OS loader to work and have memory available. That's where the difference between 448 and whatever WM reports goes.
No reason to be alarmed, Dragon. That's the way it is...
Checkout this particular video review (jump to 5:10) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUa1TJ3DXJo
The difference is just for video and what is currently running. (Touchflow, basic services etc) Rest is for programs.

[Q] Marketplace apps just say 'loading' but never load. Gray icons appearing.

Hi,
I downloaded the latest windows marketplace from http://mp.windowsphone.com to my HTC P3600 with official WM6 Pro Dopod ROM.
The problem is that the app is not working. Is is slow, all apps icons are greyed, and whenever I try to select something it just says loading.
I've already installed flash, flashlite and .NetFW 3.5 but it still doesn't works as it should. The ROM is clean. After flashing I only installed SPB Mobile Shell and nothing else besides the connection wizard.
What is causing this? I already removed and installed marketplace 3 times and there is always this problem.

try with another version of the marketplace ! look a marketplace that can work in wm6.0, 6.1 >>> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4963420&postcount=180
Thanks for the advice but still doesn't solve my problem. I installed the previous version of marketplace v1.2.1417.001 and whenever I launch it, complains that it needs to be updated. If I answer "no" it will exit the app. If I answer "yes" it starts downloading a new version.

Services memory consumption growing

Hi i have a question about services memory consumption.
When I reboot phone services takes about 100Mb of ram. But as days passes that number keeps growing. sometimes it goes to 200Mb.
And I am not talking about listed services, I have no problems with those my question is regarding some not listed services.
I tried searching forums but I anc't find any info about this.
Also this happens with stock and other roms, and even with different combination of kernels.

For the millionth time: this is not Windows. Less free RAM is not necessarily a good thing.
P.S. my phone used up 206 MB and it's still running smooth.
Oh I have no problem with android consuming my memory for cached processes and services.
I personally want android to consume all memory for cashing purpose and faster application start up.
However in case of need it is not freeing that highlighted part of memory (which is constantly growing).
That's why when it goes over 200mb it has very little space for cache processes.
Resulting in shutting down launcher (visible launcher restarting) or similar.

[Q] Phone thinks no storage left!! help

So my SM-G900H keeps giving me the "internal storage running out" warning even though in storage settings it says I have 14.98gb of free space. I also took out the SD card now to eliminate that factor and still this message is there. It doesn't let me install apps because it says there isn't enough storage space for them. However, it still Downloads the app no problem, error pops up when it tries to install it. I went through the whole internet and couldn't find anything. Any ideas? Thanks!

The entire internet, huh? How long did that take you to do?
Anyway, back to reality - a forum search usually fixes issues like this. It's a good habit to actually search before posting, as it often gives you an instant answer. And at least lets you pose better informed questions.
Try the solution in the top search result. And failing that, restore a backup or write a 100% stock firmware image to the phone to correct obscure system corruption.
