i have been using launcher pro and i havent noticed the battery life being any crappier than normal
All good here.. hope you run the latest update... u should remove your default launcher if you have it to conserve more juice.. or back it up.

i have 4 launchers installed and haven't noticed any juice decrease...do you think deleting the extra launchers will improve juice usage?

Sense is alot more that just a "Launcher". It's a complete network of systems and they are linked to each other. So the answer is "yes, Sense is still running".
adw is just a launcher not a whole ui so therefore sense is still running in background
Oh ok and thats probly why my batt is going dead soo fast..

Check your Widgets and how frequently they update data. I am running LPP launcher over sense UI and I didn't even notice significant battery drain after. I doubt its ADW draining the batt.
Hi guys.
The only reason for me to root my gn2 is that i can freeze unused apps with titanium backup..
Do you notice any differences in battery life when doing so?
And do you have some tipps for increasing? Omega rom oder revo rom better than stock.
Thanks in advance.

You mean by rooting, freezing or both ?
I can share you my perspective. I used my N7100 for 2 weeks now with stock ROM and I can honestly say that IMHO this is the first Android phone that does not really need rooting. Only Nova instead of TouchWiz makes it just right. It's only for the sake of CallRecorder that I wanted to try out that I needed to root the phone.
I have it rooted now for a couple of days and can't feel any difference in battery life. YMMV though. I didn't freeze anything (yet...)
Thanks for your answer.
I mean the battery life if unfreezing unused apps.
My note runs awesome and im not sure if it would runs better
But you said what i think. At the moment theres no need to root for me.

U can already freeze apps on stock with no root required (it's an android feature since ics).just got to apps manager and disable the apps u want to freeze.
I have most of the boat frozen, and im not rooted, don't think I need to in the mean time.

I am not facing any lag issues on i9500. but still interested in best launcher. i have tried nova, apex, atom, tfs shell and next launcher. currently touchwiz looks better. but all other launchers are updating. so i will wait and see.
I've tried Nova and Go Launcher. Settled on Go Launcher for now. Both work well, and Nova is easier to learn/use, IMO. But Go has more power and options.
I don't notice any lag on either of them, or on the stock TW.

I switched from Go to Nova due to excessive battery drain with Go. MUCH better on Nova.
Nova all the way!!

The only one who has a little of lag is the next launcher.
The better question it´d be: which one waste less battery S:
Sir, try sslauncher. I like the way it works. No lags, fast, battery-friendly and… unusual.

Hi, im getting some bad battery life's with any tw ROM. I get an average of 10hours with 2.5hours screen on. I've tried a lot of tweaks etc. Like disabling location services and down clocked CPU etc. I've disabled smart screen and all of those features. But when running stock android I can easily get 2days.
Someone know how to fix this.?

Well maybe that's why
Use BetterBatteryStats to see what's using your battery or maybe wakelocks, also use Greenify to hibernate apps you don't use
Greenify helps for a bit but it still bad

As we all know on paper this phone is a beast but in real life not so much. Now that I had this phone for a week I can definitely say that my Galaxy S3 running AOKP 4.3 ROM was faster than this phone (no joke).
I mean the only thing that really bothers me a lot with this phone (and I don’t know if its touchwiz related) is lock screen lag. Sometimes when I’m locking or unlocking the phone it takes a good second or two to “wake up” or “go to sleep”
Do any of you guys notice the same problem? If so is the any way to fix this now that we have root access?
I’m also looking for any other tips and tricks to make this phone a little faster
Thanks in advance
Nova or Apex Launcher, and ditch the window animations.

I forgot to mention, I’m already using Nova launcher and I already disabled all the apps from this tread:

My window animation is set to 0.5 but I guess I will try no animation and see if that helps

I have never used Seeder but I read that it constantly runs in the background(?)
The last thing I want is another background process eating battery

My battery last all day and more with it running not a huge application anyways and certainly does not eat up battery

Zero animations will help a little but it won't work miracles. You are used to an aosp-style rom, and Touchwiz simply is not that. Once we get Safestrap, devs will get debloated TW roms for this beast. Until then, you just have to deal with TW lag & bloat

Screenlag problem
Try
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.thedarken.wl
Doesn't use much battery.
Use widget for quick on-off and set to partial.

Try to freeze/remove the "S Voice" application that maps itself to ---> double tap Home key.
By removing it, it removes the double tap mapping which greatly helped with home button wake lag on my Note 2
Next most common thing to help you is to use an app such as Android Tuner to edit the stock kernel CPU clocks. In deep sleep(=screen off), you can raise the mhz of the CPU so it takes less time to wake up. Not sure if you can do this on stock kernel/locked bootloader just yet and this will eat more battery in general if your phone is in deep sleep often
