In HD2 how do I get the full keyboard which has the alt and control keys?
I use an apple bluetooth keyboard, don't remember the model number and it is worn off, but it is the big white keyboard, usually comes with a mouse as a combo ...

Well, he asked for a full keyboard, with alt and control, did not say he wanted a software keyboard ....
besides, when entering registration info into apps, and such it is handy, I keep it in my bag for my LT anyway ...
And it fits nice right below my speedometer in front of the steering wheel ...

Hi,
I'm new to HTC devices, so maybe it was already discussed for the HD, although I couldn't find anything.
I know there are many of you are missing the dpad, and I think a dpad is really helpful in some situations. By watching some reviews on the Diamond I just found a little application called GScroll.
It includes a really nice functionality called "'Swipe' to Scroll":

}
As I don't have my device yet I'm not sure if it would work on the HD, but maybe it could, or at least it could after some modification.
Maybe it would be possible to use the "home" and "back" button as a dpad, that would be really cool. Another possible solution would be that by pressing the "back" button you enable the functionality and then could use the "home" button as dpad. So you "loose" just one button at all.
So I'm asking you, if you could give it a try. Maybe we have to write to the author(s) in order to support the HD, but I don't know why it shouldn't work at all.
Any input is appreciated.
It does not work on my HD.
I hoped that it may work sometime.
I have solution to left and right. just slide on this hardware buttons
ups this right and left should be change by side. right -> left <-

Try using AEB Plus which lets you map functions to buttons.
Unfortunately there is no LED's on these buttons. To see the four hard buttons in the complete dark, place one hand parallel with the bottom of the phone. The light from the screen reflects back onto the buttons making them clearly visible. Alternatively it is also quite easy to estimate where the buttons are by visually dividing the lower edge of the backlit screen into quarters and pressing below the relevant section. If you use your phone regularly you'll remember where they are without looking anyhow!
Hi, i've been the owner of a windows mobile phone for only a short while now, but one thing i noticed is the querty keyboard.
Now the point is, i have realy big fingers ( ) so i cannot hit all keys well enough.
Recently my girlfriends sister got a new phone which has a default(see the pic) numeric type keyboard but on touchscreen.
What i was wondering, is there anything like it for windows mobile?
I am running windows mobile 6.1 by the way
Seems im not yet allowed to use images or links in my posts, just remove the space between h & ttp

I have found a little unconvenient thing on Android. Do you like to use virtual keyboard? I hate it. I'm blind writer on my laptop qwerty keyboard but the flat screen kb is minus 10 years.
The situation worst when you have to type words twice or more. Especially when you are searching something but you mess up one caracter.

In the search history you can see your previous (messed up) word but there is no possibility to edit them because when you click on it, your browser start to search it again.
On a desktop browser you can modify anithing in the borwser (or search) history list. Android should have this feature as well.
My theory solution is:
When you press and hold your tap on the search history item, the string moves to the search bar and you are able to modify it. And a simple click just search it just before.
Am I the only one who miss this?
I agree, I have this problem on market. Even if there is what you want on the search history with a small mistake or 2 words with no space, you cant edit it. Its realy annoing.
Would it be possible to make a homemade inductive pen for the note? I think it would be interesting since the original is to small and the adapter is too expensive.

For now I've made this lame "adapter"(I really don't know how to call it), but it works pretty good. I used an old pen I had around. Of course you can't use the button, but it's something to start.
That is the difference with the original adapter+spare pen.
That one does have a button
And frankly 30 euros is not really expensive.
If you work on a home made for one hour it'll cost you nearly the same.
Not taking in account the creative pleasure of doing it ofcourse.
If you want a very suitable pen i can suggest to buy the IBM X41 tablet pen... it works very well and you have 2 buttons on it... one works like the one on the original pen... the other buttons pressed change the pen in cancel mode... i tried it.. and it's work perfectly...
otherwise i think that all the wacom pen works well with note
(sorry for my very bad english)
thanks, I will look into it.
