Rom that looks factory but performs quick - HD2 General

I am looking for a ROM that performs really fast but doesn't have a changed appearance. What do you guys recommend? As cool as these ROMs are I don't like the changed appearance.
T-Mobile USA BTW.

one word: kwbr

I'm new to this, can you explain what you mean?

look at the energy rom series. the chef has a rom that is as close to stock as you can get.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=591784
the rom is totally compatible with TMOUS HD2'S, even though its in the other section. flash away!

I've been using Indie's Omega ROM. It fits your requirements.

I just put Kumar's "classic" rom on, I'm really liking it. Also put on the 2.12 radio rom and I'm satisfied so far.

look out for WCXHD2... gonna be released very soon

try the energy reference series

newb needs help

hey guys i just got my tilt2 and ive been trying to figure how i can get my home screen to look like the screen from the HD2.
I would like it to look like this:
http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/7003/ch01dt.jpg
but i cant figure it out. can someone help. Please and thank you.
P.S. sorry in advance if im posting in the wrong section.
The best way you could get your device to look like that is to flash any ROM that had Manila 2.5 cooked in. The newer builds of Manila 2.5 are much faster on the Rhodium than the older ones ripped from the HD2, and modifications have been made to achieve the 4 program launchers on the first page. If you would like to flash a new ROM, take a look at this link.
thank you for replying. would flashing help my phone to run faster?

Most certainly. Custom ROMs are designed with performance in mind, and are optimized for the best possible performance. Your device should be significantly faster than it is now, once you flash a custom ROM.
I just flashed the Phoenix rom on mine and it looks like my Leo. But, my Leo runs an Energy rom, too. I agree with everyone else....flash a custom rom with manila on it-Cookie Monster is awesome. And welcome to XDA, btw.

thank you guys thats very helpful. im looking at which rom to choose and thinking about flashing soon
Take a look at this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=569507
I am running it and it works great so far with the exeption of a few minor stuff that you could live with. I think this gets as close as possible to the screen shot u posted earlier.
Also if you decide to get this one, PM me so I can show you where you can get the fix for the ALT button.

clean ROM for HD2

Can you please help me to find clean ROM for HD2? Without the added applications, only OS + basic stuff and patches. I'm not using them anyway or can install them when needed .
I spent lot of time of today in ROM section and I'm still not smarter then in morning .
Thanks

It's not at XDA anymore; it's over here: http://htcpedia.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1786 Miri's ROMs. Try Xtralite or Standard.
Have a look at the Artemis ROM (latest version V13) in the ROM section.
regards, Kuzibri
Artemis is not a clean rom
Clean ex is a clean rom with almost only htc sense.

Alas, I do not agree with you. Artemis is the closest to stock ROM philosophy I know off. Also it is a very stable and fast ROM, faster than the usual stock ROM's

He don't want extra applicatons.
The stockrom and artemis has also lots of applications.
Bing,Windows marketplace,JBlend etc...
In my opnion this are extra apps you can install them also manually.
Clean ex does not contain that apps.

I do agree with you on this point, but build in apps, and IMHO in Artemis the extra build in apps are all useful and not crap or abundant, are faster than manually installed apps. The OP does not have to follow my suggestion, but Artemis is the closest to what he wants, This is my personal opinion.

CleanEX is super clean.
RTTShock or Chucky also quite clean.
thanks for all info .
I tried Artemis_v17 for some time but had some stability issues (freezed time to time). I will test V18 also, but currently I'm testing energyrom. Looks good after 48 hours

[Q] A clean rom

Hello
Does any one have a custom clean rom based on the latest 2.13 tmous ?
I've tried searching and all but no luck
Check HTCpedia.com forums and search (Miri HD2 WM6.5.X (23569) ROM :: V 17.7 [ONLINE]) There are five versions of WM 6.5 from striped to Sense 2.5 w/swype. Its exactly what your looking for!!!
Also the Elegancia GTX WITH/WO HTC Messaging Roms are very clean, fast, and stable.
thanks man, i'm on my way
lol are you sure you tried? check here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=729693

[CONFIRMED]Leaked 3.14 T-Mobile test ROM works with Android

I just flashed to the leaked 3.14 update, and it does indeed work with Android. I'm booting the ShugCRAFT 1.5 distro, and i've got 3G data, working voice and MMS. Seems that the quest for a stock ROM with working drivers is close to over. The leaked test ROM seems to be fairly stable aswell. I will report back if I run into anything strange. You can get this new leaked ROM from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=789506
Ha!! YES!!
Finally getting somewhere i posted asking if anyone else had flashed the new leaked stock rom. good to see another thread about this. i have been using Mdeejay's Evo build since yesterday battery life is better wifi works nothing new to report.

Thank you!
--Edit--
About 5 or 6 pages in, there is a multi-mirror link for people who have issues with RapidShare (like me).
I just installed this new stock and it does not support the darkstone froyo 2.1 that I already had installed on my SD card. I do get 3g and WiFi, but I also get the robot voice when calling, so it's useless to me. I'm gonna give a couple of other builds a shot, just in case and report back.
Wow, talk about fast! The new 3.14 seems to blow away the 2.15 in terms of speed. EVERYTHING seems faster. It also has some new stuff included such as Shazam and a new HTC Music client...
As a geek, I gotta say that having 3.14 as a release version is uber cool
So I downloaded and installed the new darkstone Desire HD Beta-2 build and it runs flawlessly. Err... well other than the already known issues such as camera, ringtone, etc.
I hate the bloatware, but being back to stock is awesome as well
--Edit--
So yeah, it was cool, but I decided I really wanted to go back to AthineOS to get away from the bloatware.
I had installed the new stock via microSD, which over-writes everything including SPL. This meant that, because HSPL3 is iffy with newer versions, I went ahead and downloaded the current official ROM from T-Mobile and flashed it via usb first. Then I was able to safely HSPL3 and then flash my fav ROM.
Overall, the new stock is very rocking and I can't wait for someone to cook a stripped-down ROM based on it

Thank you so much. I talked with a T-Mobile customer support person today and he told me that the official ROM 3.14 was going to be released tomorrow!
I'm using the leaked rom, probably not necessary but I'll load the official rom when it's released. It's working great with Android and I haven't unlocked, used hard spl or any other custom roms yet

So far only mdeejay's Android build with hastarin's is compatible with this new Rom.
You can try my combination in my signature. Runs perfect.
Sent from my hTC HD2 running mdeejay FroYo Sense v 3.1 (FRG83) using XDA app.

Well, loads has obviously changed now. I would recommend looking here for instructions on how to start over and using this ROM, but you should obviously experiment in terms of ROMs.
