Default Icons - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV Themes and Apps

So I flashed a ROM and it came with a special icon set. Now I want to revert back to the default icons each program comes with as well as what 6.5 normally has. I am using JWMD IconChanger but I can't find my default icons. When I say Show Default Icon, I am shown the default icon but that is not saved nor is there a way to save that selection. Please help or redirect. Thanks.

Change default icon

Can someone please advise how I can change the default icon for a PPC application.
I've installed a useful free App but it uses that nasty "default WCE MFC" icon and just wanted to change it to a more tasteful one.
Cheers in advance

Quicklink icons aren't the same as in the startmenu

I just installed the official ROM for Topaz which brings us Sense 2.5. Now, I have changed all my icons on the whole phone to new ones but when I add one as quicklink in Sense it just shows the default one.
What can I do about this?
ArtieQ, you can find the icon path for the quick links in File Explorer->Application Data->HTC->ProgramLauncher. Those override the icons in the start menu. That would be one place to start. You could try deleting the default icon there and the icon you are using in your start menu should work. Be sure to backup/copy the default before deleting it.
The icons that don't show up is not in the ProgLauncher folder, why's that? Can't seem to fix this..
The way I've done it in the past is to delete the icon in programlauncher. HTC presets those icons to appear in quicklinks for the programs listed in that folder. All other programs use the icon in the startmenu. If you install new icons, they will not go into the programlauncher folder. So, if you see the icon you installed in the startmenu try deleting the associated default icon in programlauncher. For example, I wanted to use the google maps icon in the startmenu instead of the default one used by HTC in quicklinks. So I deleted the googlemaps icon in programlauncher and it then defaulted to the one in my startmenu.

[Q] Getting icons back?

Start Menu -> look at my HTC_Calendar and HTC_Music app - they both do not have the nice HTC icons (musical note icon and HTC Calendar app icon - the one you get when you hover over the calendar in the slider). It used to be there and when I tried to copy the file from the storage location to another location and copied it back, it no longer shows the icon - just the generic blue stripe at the top, white window icon. Any idea how I can make it so it generates and shows the nice icon? I looked at the .lnk file using notepad and noticed it points to ManillaShortcut music or calendar. That's it. There's no reference to an icon file or anything like that. Is there a reg key or something? Thanks in advance.
Can someone look in their Start Menu and tell me what (this is stock 2.13 ROM) the lnk is called and what it should point to? Currently - it is called HTC_Calendar and HTC_Music.

[Q] Any way to change Menu Icons?

when you list of programs/apps comes up, anyway to change the Icon & or/ name?
Im not sure about changing the name for the apps, but I think Desktop Visualizer lets you change the icons. maybe different launchers might allow you to change the names
Hmm well I can change my desktop Icons but im trying to change the icons and or name of the app in the menu itself

[Q] Restoring default icons from custom

First of all, I'm using Nova launcher. Whenever I want to change my icon set, whether it's the default or a custom set, any apps that I manually change the icon for doesn't get overwritten with the new set. For example, I set Chrome Beta to a specific icon, and if I apply a new icon set through Nova settings, the icon for Chrome Beta is still the same as what I set it to.
Is there a way to overwrite these when you apply a new icon set? It's a big pain going through all the apps with a custom icon and changing it to match the current theme.
