Once you're on the history tab click on the menu button (the left most button left to home button). That'll give you the delete option. You can choose to delete the entire list or selectively delete.

Wow, I did not realize that was a menu button, but a dialer button. How can I clear the download notifications at the top left?

pull down the notification bar. There should be a clear button there.

Do you mean the icon on the center that opens up the app drawer? I suppose you're using a custom launcher?
Long-press any part of the empty screen, click Shortcut, and find an item that says launcher (or something equivalent), like how you would add a shortcut of an app on homescreen.
Then click that icon, and drag it to where menu key originally was.
hehehe thats not called the menu key its called app drawer (or app button even, the menu key is the four line button beside your back button). I'm going to assume you are on cm7 with adw because as far as i know that is the most used.... and i may have done it once or twice before. Press and hold on an empty space on your home screen. click Launcher actions. choose open close app drawer. enjoy don't feel too stupid it happens to the best of us.
Yes I did mean the app drawer...sorry. I got it back now...thanks for all the help!!!

Yea usually the app itself has the menu button built into it. Or sometimes it's the rom depending on which one it is.
with on-screen buttons you can customize the navigation bar to your liking rather than needing to conform to hardware buttons.
im a big fan of mechanical buttons, but if youre giving me touch buttons let me customize them.. which is what googles doing with the nexus line
Google got rid of the menu button a long time ago. There is no such thing as "menu" in Android 4.0 and later. The three dots in the action bar is called action overflow.
Don’t call it a menu
Not only should your apps stop relying on the hardware Menu button, but you should stop thinking about your activities using a “menu button” at all. Your activities should provide buttons for important user actions directly in the action bar (or elsewhere on screen). Those that can’t fit in the action bar end up in the action overflow.

So I got an app and there is no dedicated settings button in it and I was thinking if there is on the phone a way like long press or double tap a specific key to open the settings menu like the note 3 had a settings button instead of the recent app.
I really need to go in the settings otherwise I can't use the app if someone knows a way how to it!
Thanks
Long press back key to get to the settings menu.

Hi guys, all i want is that i wanna single tap to menu button and get recent apps and most importantly i wanna get the menu when i longpress the menu button. How can i do that? I mean normally
Hardware menu button's functions on galaxy s4 is
SINGLE PRESS ---> MENU
LONG PRESS ----> GOOGLE SEARCH
i wanna change it to
SINGLE PRESS ----> RECENT APPS
LONG PRESS -----> MENU
i've checked the possible solutions on forum even downloaded "all in one gestures" app though it did just change single press to recent apps but couldn't change long press to menu because there is no such option called "menu" on the list to assign to long press, i can send screenshots if need to and the app is up to date is downloaded from play store
So i need your help, thanks by now

There is, you didn't see it or you have a different app.
The menu action requires root.

I can't find a "Menu" option.
I use "Buttons remapper". It's definitely able to assign menu to long press.
