htc Sense app tray? - Legend General

I've been playing with some launchers recently (Launcher Pro, ADW) and they show the SIM toolkit applications inside the app tray unlike the Sense app tray, which only shows the SIM toolkit launcher app inside the app tray.
The SIM applications are really annoying because I never use them, and I'm wondering if there's any way to remove them from the app tray?
Thanks

Missing Apps in App Drawer

Is any one else missing apps that used to be in the Apps drawer. These are apps that are still installed and I can access through app manager or widgets. The apps I am all of a sudden missing are Lattitude, Places, calendar (the blue original one), Faves, and probably others. I am wondering if anyone has these all of a sudden missing and if there is any way to get the icons back? Thanks for any help!
I've noticed apps disappearing in the Sense/Espresso app drawer, but can't recall if they were stock apps or not.
I'm damn sure that some apps I install from the Market do not show up in the Sense/Espresso app drawer if I install them while in LauncherPro. I can see them in app manager, etc., but they're absent from the app drawer. I have to be in LauncherPro's app drawer in order to see everything I have installed.
Very weird, but this is my 1st HTC device, and I'm running LP as my default. Would still like to know why this is, and if there's anything that can be done to make all apps visible.

Order of apps in app tray?

Is there an easy way to get the apps in the app tray to organize automatically, alphabetically? Any new apps I install it just puts them at the end of the app tray. My Vibrant does them all alphabetically and that is much easier to manage.
Thanks!

Alphabetic App Tray?

So my Tab app tray is a mess! I have lots of apps but unlike any other Android I have the added apps are 'shelter skelter'. Yes, that bad. Any help?

If you press the menu button while the app tray is open, it will give you an edit option. This will allow you to rearrange the apps in the app tray. I never could find an option to put them in alphabetical order, and new apps always insert themselves in the first open slot.
If you are looking for a way to make sure the app tray stays in alphabetical order, I would suggest trying a new launcher app. LauncherPro and ADW will both give you want you want and a whole lot more. I use Zeam as it is fast and doesn't get bogged down with too many options.
A bit like the iphone but worse

[Q] Hide Apps in App Drawer?

Okay, so I know this has been asked before, I've been searching XDA and googling and have found some threads on the topic, but most of them are old and unresolved. So I'm reaching out to see if maybe there's a new development that I haven't been able to find.
Is there any known way to HIDE apps from the app drawer of a stock launcher? I know that Launcher Plus Pro and some other home replacements have this feature built in, but I'm using Virtuous Unity and am really happy with Sense 3.0 at the moment.
It seems like such a basic function, I can't believe there's a) no native feature to do this; and more surprisingly b) there's no 3rd party app that will do this?
I've found some apps that 'hide' your drawer apps (i.e. Hide It Pro) but this not only hides the app from the drawer, but makes it so you can only launch the hidden app from within the app that's hiding it (meaning you have to go into Hide It Pro to launch the hidden app).
I'm using wave launcher and swipepad for my most used apps and games, and would ideally like to remove these apps from the app drawer so they're not cluttering it up, but STILL BE ABLE TO LAUNCH THE APPS from the alternate launcher/shortcuts. With Hide It Pro I was able to remove the apps from the app drawer, but was then unable to launch that app from wave launcher for example.
My reasoning for wanting to do this is not confidentiality/privacy, but rather just to clean up my drawer/app system. Ideally I want my most used apps to be accessed via the secondary launchers (wave and swipepad) and just have the other, less-used apps in the app drawer. Is this possible?
at the moment, I dont think its possible...but I may be wrong. the best current solution would be to use a diff launcher, but yeah it sucks because all the sense widgets would disappear when trying to add them to homescreens (but the apps still work fine). keep us updated if you find a solution, I would like to know as well
Unfortunately I did not find a way to do it too. I am using Go Launcher EX. It can hide apps from the drawer, and still you can launch them from the home screen or elsewhere.
Thanks for the replies. Yeah from my research it doesn't really seem possible. It seems like it should be a pretty basic function but oh well. Thanks anyway guys.

Thanks for that, I came across that during my research. Seems cool and if it replaced the default app drawer I'd be all over it. But I don't want a homescreen icon as my app drawer. But thanks for the suggestion!!

How to remove "Connect to Goodreads" in app drawer

After installing a 3rd party launcher such as Apex or Nova on my Fire HD 10 2017, there is an icon in the app drawer named "Connect to Goodreads". The icon is just the word "fire" in big orange letters. The app info shows "Device Setup version 1.0.312.2_4040710". Opening the app prompts to create or connect to a Googreads account. This item does not appear in the Fire Lancher
I would like to remove/disable this item from the app drawer. Does anyone know how? It seems like it might be tied to com.amazon.kindle.otter.oobe.
I know I can "hide" it in the app drawer in Nova or Apex, but I'd prefer to eliminate it if possible.
In Nova launcher you can go into the app settings>Apps & Widget Drawers>scroll down to hide apps
From there you can choose to hide apps you don't want to see.
Edit: Just saw you know you can hide it.
