Hi Guys, I have posted in one of the other threads reagrding a problem I am having when using the barcode scanning apps. What happens is when I try to scan a barcode the camera starts to auto-focus and then begins looping. It does not scan the barcode no matter how long I hold the unit there and no matter the distance. What could be wrong as I have tried a couple different apps and nothing seems to work?

The case is strange, because if i open camera only using 5Mpx i haven't this problem. If i switch to front, apparently it can run without problems (i tried to open/close many times and all was ok and also to switch record/photo mode). But when i try to access after done other work (ex. using browser etcc..) usually i encounter this FC + Freeze.
Can anyone investigate what can produce this random crash/freeze using front camera? i saw that when i've FC i can't close app and the conclusion is freezing tablet. I suspect that some memory portion can't be unbuffered. When i restart the device, i find that in the program specification, Camera App have written 6Kb of data. If i delete those datas, i can re-enter in camera mode, if i leave them, camera won't reset and then i still fall in this FC.
I have not used it in a while, but I just tried to use it, and it crashes at the same point every time.
Running 4.2.2 stock, nothing changed on the device, and when I try to take a photo using the 360 degree option, it goes to the alignment screen, and after the second dot changes colour, it just crashes to the desktop. Every time. Is this a known issue, an isolated issue, is there a known fix? Normally I'd search but just banging the question out there while I remember due to dinner being imminent.
Many thanks.
Hi,
I am working on an app which requires the watch compass. While it seems to work as expected on Samsung Gear Live I get nothing than problems when running it on Sony SWR50 Smartwatch. Same happens with all tested apps from Play Store. There are situations where the compass works as should, but just minutes later it displays just crap or the value displayed is almost frozen. And it got even more worse from firmware version 4.4W2 to 5.0.1. No idea about behaviour of the other watch models actually available.
For getting a more clear view on usability of watch compasses in general I have written a little app named CompassTest which implements all three methods of reading the compass which I am aware of. All three results will be displayed together on one screen:
- sensor TYPE_ORIENTATION (no longer recommended for new apps)
- sensor TYPE_ROTATION_VECTOR
- sensors TYPE_ACCELEROMETER und TYPE_MAGNETIC_FIELD
If you want to support me then please install CompassTest onto your phone, start the app on your watch and check the results being displayed for plausability. All three values should be almost the same, the flicker on the 3rd value is normal as there is no dampening built in.
Please also calibrate your sensors by moving the watch several times in shape of an 8 and in all three axis.
Check the displayed results against a normal compass or the north direction if you know it from elsewhere.
Please report your results here with your watch model and short description of behaviour.
Thank you in advance,
Gerd
Happened 3 times for me when I run camera from locked phone. It makes a sound of taking photo but won't take any photo. When unblocked after then doesn't work ether. Just restart is fixing.
Have you noticed any similar?

Try going into settings>applications and finding the camera app. Clear cache and data for the app and restart device. It's probably just due to buggy software and not a hardware issue if you're not getting any black screena or errors since the camera module itself is still functioning. Also see if changing the saving location to SD or Internal storage makes a difference.
Hello people,
Does anybody have problems with Wi-Fi( sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, and it shows a very poor signal and not all networks are visible), Bluetooth(won't work at all) and SD and SIM cards (keep mounting and unmounting randomly)?? And also found that phone doesn't move while I'm on Waze or google maps, it is stuck only on current location, but shows the route without real navigation or moving with it(And although my GPS is on, Waze tells me there is no GPS).
I'm using Samsung Galaxy S4(GT-I9505), CM13 (pretty much all nightlies I've used have the same problem), and switched back to TouchWiz, same problems happened.
If anyone knows or heard about these problems please tell me, and is it possible to be hardware problem that has things to do with all these combined? And Thanks!
