[Live Wallpaper] Advanced Map (beta) - Desire Themes and Apps

I'm pleased to announce the release of the Advanced Map Live Wallpaper, which allows you to show your position on a variety of maps on the homescreen.
Features:
* Wide selection of maps (Ordnance Survey, Google, Satellite, Terrain, Bing, OpenStreetMap, USA VFR and IFR charts...)
* Battery friendly - it uses network locations and shuts down whenever the homescreen isn't visible.
* Data friendly - aggressive caching means that you should only need to download a map tile once.
* Variable zoom on all maps
* Accuracy circle (can be switched off)
It's partly based on my original OS Map application, and draws on code from the open-sourced Rmaps2 and the AndNav library. Consequently, this application is also open-source, with the source available as soon as I've figured out how to use the Google Code repository (or you have have it as a ZIP file by email).
Notes:
This is a BETA release. I'd appreciate it if you could post any problems in this thread instead of leaving a low rating on the app. Ordnance Survey maps won't work outside the UK.
Right now, if you turn GPS on, you may need to select another wallpaper before it'll turn off again. You might also need to turn "Refresh Position" on in the settings page, which will be fixed in the next update.
Finally, I apologise to whoever's house is in the screenshots since I picked a location at random!

[APP] [GAME] Pocket DoND v0.1

Pocket DoND is based on the hit TV show Deal or No Deal. In the game, players attempt to beat the Banker by choosing boxes to open, each of which has a random amount of money inside.
This is very much a proof-of-concept, but I'm releasing it now to get feedback to improve it further. I've no idea how long it'll last before the lawyers set about things, since it is a bit of a rip-off, but it's free and hopefully fun to play. ;-)
Turning on debug mode (Menu -> Options -> Debug) will give more information about what's going on behind the scenes when you start a new game.

Fairly accurate offers (IMHO)
Swap Box on last move
No Noel Edmonds
Still to come:
Much better layout (boxes down the middle column)
General improved spit and polish
Improved deal algorithms
Noel Edmonds ;-)
All feedback appreciated!
IMPORTANT - this game is VGA only

How To Make HTC One Nearly Full Gesture Based, no root, no tricks, no costs

Just good ol' Android customization and apps, baby:
EDIT: How do I make pictures smaller? Sorry for the giant pics...
Using Swipe Pad (free from Play Store), you can set it up so that it's activated from a gesture from the bottom of the screen (or anywhere else). I have it there so. To activate, I gesture up from the HTC logo (very BBZ10 like). This can be done from anywhere and any app.

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Then the "Home" portal (a default option of Swipe Pad) can bring you back to the home screen. Then the two portals around it are to put the device to sleep (via an app that's called Screen Off and Lock, also free) so I don't always have to reach up to the power/wake button.
Then the above level of portals are my most frequented apps. I didn't set anything higher but that may yet come. You can add almost anything you want!
It's not only a handy app switcher of sorts, but also one that allows you to set gesture based commands.
Anyway, links to the apps I used are below.
And there you go, a nearly full gesture base HTC One. The only time I have to really reach up to press the power/wake button is to wake the device.
Just thought I'd share! The only obstacle is when the on-screen menu buttons are present. All the more reason for HTC to update the software to rid us of that obnoxious menu bar.

Now if only you can figure out how to turn it on with swipes without rooting

Nova Launcher and Xtrons Navigation

Hi,
I have just had an Xtrons Android head unit fitted to my car. I chose it because they make an exact fit for my car so it looks less after-market (ironically compared to better branded units).
My intention was always to customise the interface so it looked more OEM, so I downloaded Nova Launcher and Flight icons.
After some messing around I am starting to get the look that I want.
I have a problem with the Navigation app though. When I used it with factory settings, the navigation app opened a version of Google maps without needing to be online. I suppose that is built in so it works offline. With the new launcher, when you open the navigation map it defaults to the standard version of Google maps that needs Internet access to work.
Even when I launch navigation from the settings menu it does the same thing.
Am I missing something obvious or does anyone have a fix for this please?
I guess I could attach my iPhone as wi fi hotspot so that it would work but it would be a pain to set up every time and would be pretty slow.
Any help much appreciated!

Load google maps Click on your initial next to the mic icon You'll get a settings menu
You'll see an option for offline maps. You'll need to download maps for areas you need.
That said google maps works best online. I suggest installing an additional navigation app
Igo if you want to pay, herewego if you want an advertiser sponsored map
