I was able to make the calendar background transparent in 1.7.1 though the same cab does not work in 1.8 so I am looking for a new one. The music widget is new so I am in need of making the area noted transparent. I dislike the look of most padding around aspects of the UI, it just clutters things.
I am still of the opinion that someone could create an app that would toggle UI transparencies that would be hugely popular. Something like that would fit well in CHT as well.
Thank you for your time.

I think that CHT 1.8 is just still so new that nobody has yet developed compatible transparency tweaks, I've been waiting until some are released before I upgrade from 1.7.1
Look for [star]'s [CAB][VGA|WVGA] Transparent Manila {All Versions+Cookie Home Tab}. It's compatible with CHT 1.8. Using that v2 currently on CHT 1.8.

X2. DINIK is also working on some transparent .cabs compatible with cht 1.8. keeping an eye on his thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=678674&page=24
Thank you guys. I will try out the fixes noted a little later tonight. [star]'s cab looks really promising.
UPDATE: [star]'s cab didn't make anything new transparent. Still looking but like sirphunkee noted, it will probably take some time.

So now what I'm waiting for is an anastasia skin for the new music widget, I'm hoping Dinik will have a new CHT theme for 1.8

Works amazing. I was confounded on how I missed this as I did look but then noticed it was added after I had looked. This solved my remaining transparency issues.
I had a hell of a time with [star]'s transparencies cab though. After uninstalling it because it didn't do anything significant, some of the transparencies that I had already applied no longer functioned. In most cases uninstalling the old cabs and reinstalling them did the trick. [star]'s cab also seems to have messed up my home screen menu. The items in the menu all have "IDS_" before them and are in all caps which does not preclude functionality though is ugly and annoying. A couple other menus have changed in similar ways. Though this cab may have been hugely helpful for some people it lead me to almost a dozen restarts and may lead to another hard reset if I can't get my menus sorted out.

Wrong way round
Hi there, thanks for this. The graphics looks really ace. Just one question though. I have it installed and it seems as though it is the big icons that are in the back ground and when the slider moves over them they get smaller (I thought the purpose of the slider was to zoom in on the icons). Thought I would point this out incase it was unintentional. Or it could be something on my phone doing the wrong thing.

I think that is how it works too...not sure...on the other tabs like in contacts they seem to stay the same size.
I used HDWall to create it and all the images were the same size for both large and small icons and just had HDwall resize it.
I thought the icons stayed the same size and the large ones appeared in the middle of the screen. It is hard to see the tab with your finger on them when you are sliding so I am guessing the larger ones are suppose to be in middle of screen.
Will look into it though.
thank you very much, good input

They are all from the Mega device except for Stocks and Calendar. The Calendar is from WM 6.5 and the Stock is from some website I found online. I just touched them up and used HDWall to import them.
I would guess they would work on a VGA device. Give them a shot and let me know. They will uninstally properly, well they should

Update again
I updated the files once again. In the current slider the icons go from big to small as you slide in the new version it is more like the OEM. It was pointed out earlier in the thread and just "fixed" it.

****Sense UI 2.1/2.5 REAL MODE9 FIX****
Update 11/26/09: Version 3 Non Graphics Fix
1) V3 eliminates the need to re-center the icons by way of modifying the images. All icons have been re-centered through Mode9 fix. It took awhile to figure out the mapping system.
2) Re-positioned the date on the calendar tab icon.
3) Re-positioned notification bubble icon to fit better within the silder tab.
Please uninstall the V2 fix and the position fix cab (only if you had it installed). Download and install V3 Fix, and you are good to go.
Update 11/24/09:
1) V2 should complete SUI2.5. It took awhile to figure out the notification bubble in the People Details Tab.
2) I need feedback on V2 SUI 2.1 if there are any sliders left still un-transparent.
3) Added Stock Slider Position Fix cabs below. These will center the icons on the slider.
****I've spent countless hours on this project, putting aside other projects I've started for myself. I don't ask for much, but some appreciation on my work here would be greatly appreciated. There has been 600+ combined downloads for this fix and a very small percentage of feedback or thanks. I make it a point to show my appreciation elsewhere on this site for shared knowledge and upgrades. This project was very time consuming and aggrevating at times. But it helps to make the custom themes that much nicer. Please show your appreciation, not just for my time and efforts, but also for others who have also spent countless hours for the community! Thank you!****
Finally, figured the whole thing out! This slider fix is 100% transparent. No secondary icon, no calendar date, and yes...no notification bubble. There are 2 downloads below for the fix, SenseUI 2.1 and SenseUI 2.5. I have also provided each respective basic slider icon (it looks like the pics below.
Installation is simple. Download cab and place on SD Card. Run from File Explorer and Ok the soft reset. If you are running a theme that has a transparent slider, there is no need to re-install that theme. My fix is only system files. I have also provided a basic transparent slider for those still running stock theme.
Note: If your version of manila is cfc compressed, you will notice your slider icon being a white square. No proplem, just install my basic slider tab or uninstall and reinstall your custom theme. Thanks to tsalta for this info!
Enjoy!

I see what you are talking about. May not be the same on 2.1 but on 2.5 (which is what I am on now) call history tab, etc is not transparent. I'll look at it now. I believe why I didn't catch it before is because I was also pushing manila to the phone for my theme at the same time.
There will be a new release for the 2.5 version hopefully before this weekend. I have already found 1 file that handles the call detail slider. So thank you for pointing that out, as now I will ensure the next release is complete.
Will someone running 2.1 and my fix please check all tabs for slider and report back. I would appreciate it. Thank you and bear with me please.

Nothing wrong with that my friend, I often use the stylus for speed, most day to day things I use my fingers though.
As for wp7, love the looks, hate the sound of it, basically its the phone equivalent of Vista; beautiful looks, dubious functionality.

Hi! Sorry for my english...
Thx for this amazing theme!
But, i have some problems. First, when i unlocked my phone, and then appear the flip clock, he shows the time before 1 hour and 2 minutes. Ok, this is for animate the flip clock, but he shows me approximetly 2-3 seconds the time before 1h,2m. Is there any way to abbreviate this delay time? It's enoght 1 second to view what's the time. Now, I am always in a mistake about the time.
The second observation is the programs tab. I like the original programs tab with three icons in one line. It's possible to set like original?

Nope... just Today Plugins, so the phone is lightning fast.. don't need extra pages, picture contacts, current weather (I have a window or two in my house)
TodayClock
TodayAgenda
Resco Contact Manager 2
I use the built in red theme, since it's finger friendly in menus, with a specific wallpaper file ripped from another theme, and the today text set to black using sktools.
I also use Opera Mini for browsing - the Java based v5 final, since the native version is so buggy, and JZ Smartmort to make it the default browser.
Wrong forum. Sorry bout that. Thought I was in HD2

Yes that is the Cookie Homescreen Tab, I would look for the Cookie Home Tab Editor too, Manila Mod may be referring to Maxmanila which is a different home screen with it's own options, check it out in that same forum but Cookie seems to be the more popular one at the moment

That was my homescreen w/the Leo sense 2.1 clock (has 3 different clock modes) when I was using a 2.1 rom. Now I've switched to 2.5 and am unable to find a similar digital clock like that one above.
I've searched/googled and the closest one is the Dusk Evo clock (by grzegorz10) but it doesn't seem to be compatible w/my current rom (Energy 21898.Sense2.5.Cookie.HomeTab.Apr.14).
Does anyone have a digital clock cab exactly like the one above?
That is the clock from the dusk theme. I've been looking for a cab of just the clock but I never found it
Just post here if you do find one...my searching adventure still continues...
Ιf you basically want a black clock with white digits, do search in C00kie's Home Tab thread. There was one posted there some time ago and it is 100% compatible with that ROM (which I happen to use also).
I think it's called Carbon or something, not glassy effect, but the black panel with the white digits suit me ok.
Otherwise I can upload it for you tomorrow cuz atm I have a lousy connection.
Looking for exactly the same clock..
Anyone?
Looking for the opposite - I would like to have the Dusk Analog Clock to go along with Co0kie's most excellent Home Tab, without the Dusk Theme. Any ideas?

That's my current homescreen clock right now...I think it's the same one that you might be talking about. After not being able to find the digital kind, I'm pretty satisfied using that one for now. Props to MykCer ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=580573 ) for creating it.
Still not giving up on the dig. clock though...at least not yet.

It's that clock but that file screws up your installation. It's not only the clock but it install some other files as well.
Do not install...
I'm looking for only the clock.

That was the first clock I tried to install but it wouldn't work. The more harder it is to find this clock for CHT, the more I want it now
Hey TEE82
Yes Dusk's clock would be nice for CHT but I do not think he has a cab for it yet, also I love the wallpaper you have in post 1 could you share. Thanks

Thank You!
It would be awesome if someone could make a clock like the one below. It would be sweet even without the seconds, if that isn't possible.
