By the way, anyone has any idea how O2 charges for GPRS web browsing. I am on O2 anytime 200 monthly contract.

My experiences with MMS on my PDA2K (Blue Angel) upgraded to Windows Mobile 5 on O2 UK PAYG:-
Pixer4MMS - a very stable MMS client. Pictures load easily without the application hanging like EZWap does (see below). I can send an MMS but I can't seem to be able to receive MMS's.
EZWap2.5 for Pocket PC Phone Edition - can WAP browse OK. WAP browsing is very fast - a lot faster than browsing WAP sites on Pocket Internet Explorer. But some problems with the MMS function. When loading a picture, the application always hangs and I have to do a soft reset to bring the Pocket PC back to life. I can send a MMS OK but again, I can't receive an MMS.
Arcsoft MMS Composer - I understand from posts on these forums that it doesn't work on Windows Mobile 5.
My device information:-
ROM version 5.03.02 WWE
ROM date 03/02/05
radio version 1.06.00
Protocol version 1337.38
ExtROM version (blank)
My quest to get a working MMS client goes on..........

An update
The reason I'm not receiving MMS messages is because they end up in my O2 media messaging inbox.
I have successfully sent MMS's from both Pixer and EZwap. Usually the next day, I get a SMS pointing me towards my O2 Active Media Message inbox and lo and behold, there they are.
I can't for the life of me work out why they are not appearing on my phone.
I contacted O2 and they gave me all the settings for the Exec which runs WM 5.0 and I can see that I'm using all the right settings for O2 on Pay as you Go.
If anyone is interested, here are the settings that O2 sent me:-

MMS on Windows Mobile 5 - got there!
I'm happy!!
A few days after sending my original posting, I am now pleased that I can now RECEIVE as well as send MMS's with EZWap 2.5 on my PDA2K Blue Angel upgraded to WM5.
The reason I couldn't receive is now clear to me I think. In the EZwap user guide pdf, it clearly states that "Enable Push" in the "Push" tab of the programme must be ticked in order to receive MMS's. I had ticked it but was using port 9201 whereas I needed to enter port 2901. I found this port number from the excellent instructions in this thread:-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=5363&highlight=2901+port+o2
The relevant part from the above post that I followed and which made receiving MMS's suddenly work for me is:-
Push
- Enable Push: Ticked
- Address: Leave empty*
- Port: 2901
- Connectionless push gateway: Ticked
- WTLS secured connection: Unticked
* actually, I entered 193.113.200.195 in the address field and it works.
I'm happy!!

Thanks
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. I've been looking for this for a while.
Thank you so much!
My blue sim didn't need any settings.
I can't figure it out. All I did was create a modem connection for GPRS 3G without a proxy, user name, password etc. Set the perferred networks and to 'auto' for the connection band type in the phone app.
Had no problems with UTMP HSPDA connections here in Chicago and I get sms to my number and to my @mmode.com address no problem. I don't to MMS. PIE works fine and I get U/H speeds 800+ enough to support 128kbit streams from radioio and VPN terminal sessions to 2k3 server.
I agree with teambnet ... I had intially put in all the setting shown above, but I was not able to connect (the error message was that there was no response or something to that effect)
Finally, after reading teambnet's post, I simply unchecked the user a proxy and removed the different entries for the ip addresses for the http, https, ssl, etc.
So basically, I just entered proxy and left the other fields blank, and I'm up and running getting 3G speeds. Thanks for your help everyone.

messaging works but no IE
I just updated my 8525 to wm6 via the posted rom on the ATT site. Before updating the only entry I had in connections to make it work was 'proxy'. Both email and iE worked perfectly at GPRS or 3G speeds.
I tried the settings that are posted on this thread and I get a nasty message when trying to connect.
I removed the proxy server info and went back to the APN entry of 'proxy' and I am able to send and recive emails. When I go to IE and try to find a page, it says 'locating' the graphic spins on the right hand side of the screen, but I get the 'page cannot be found error'. I guess I am not connecting properly to the DNS server?
Anyone have some suggestions?
Resolved the IE issue
I went to programs PROXY manager - and selected diable PROXY... Now IE works and messaging work... Only item needed in the configuration was 'proxy'

Hi all,
Fairly new to all this but I successfully managed to upgrade to WM6 but can't get GPRS working after the upgrade. I've tried various versions of the Radio but nothing seems to work.
I've tried searching O2 on these forums but can find nothing.
Anyone got any ideas?
Regards
Hades
Still no-one with an idea?
Anyone know if I can extract the radio files from WM5 and input them into WM6? If so how would I go about this?
Hope someone can help me.
Regards
Hades
I am running WM6 and GPRS works fine with O2 UK. Have you checked all the settings?
Do a search and you should find a cab file floating around with the o2 settings.
Yeah I've hunted high and low in these forums and found a few places ppl are asking the same question but no real answer.
Any idea what radio version your using?
If so where can I get the cab?
Thx
Jim
Cant remember where on the forum I found this but these ae the settings I always use for O2 UK, always works.
