email apk to install them?

Hi
I have trouble emailing .apk files to myself and install them on the phone. I use cyanogens stable (currently 4.04) and when I dowload the mail and click the "previev" button (there is no "download") I get the message: Error parsing the package.
Any solution known? (I have enabled the "install non marketplace" option)

Yes I do, but I guess the app is not even stored on my sdcard somewhere as during the download process it crashes somewhere...

You have to log into gmail from the browser and not the app, then you will be able to download it.

use apkatcher ..

or tAttachApkInstaller - they're basically the same thing...

Android Facebook Contacts?

on the first 2 versions of android i intsalled on my phone, the contacts could sync up with facebook and get upates and that stuff, but wth this newest version its not there anymore.
anyone know how to get it back?

AFAIK, only the Hero builds do that. If you switched to a non-Hero build, that's why.

there is an app called "facebook sync" that allows you to sync contact pictures from facebook with your google address book. It is not available on the market. here's a copy for you.

just google facebooksync.apk and find a download of it. Then make a folder on the root of your sd card named AndroidApps must be spelled and capitalized just like that. put the facebooksync.apk file in that folder and then boot it up and you will have the program once android is started

hey i tried the facebook sync app and i got a "sqliteexception error" anyone know what this means or how i can fix it

You cant. Its cooked in the ROM! Anyway you can try SKTools to get rid of some of the files (exes, folders etc.)

Right so if i use that tool i cant delet the files etc and internet explorer wont work?

Change email google for market

Hi guys, i wanna change the access mail for the market. i used the mail of my brother but now i've create a new.
i try to go in settings>application>manage application but i cannot unistall the maket and i cannot delete the "data"....i can only delete the cache of the market!
if i want to delete from menu "account and syncronization" appear the written " you cannot delete this mail because it's used by other program"
Any solution???

Maybe you could to try it, Settings->privacy settings->Factory data reset
Notice: it will del all you own app....and all your data.....just change the phone to you first get it ......lol...

i know it...but i don't wanna do a factory reset.....!!!

thanks, but in that link i can only change the mail address if google want to send me a message...!
i can't believe that i'll do a factory reset....i can't believe!!!

Hi, Are you kill all the app before [from menu "account and syncronization" appear the written "]???I think maybe some app is running when you want to del acc...maybe it not system app, and it can be killed??

Launcher Problem on ZTE X850

Hi.
I did something that I regret till now... I deleted the stock launcher coz I like launcher pro, but I did a factory reset, so... you know the rest
Cant do much on my phone now... its imposible to open an APK from the browser, tried to create a html file that opens file://sdcard/launcher.apk and nothing... tried to send attach the file in an email and open but I cant open attached files, it just saves to the sdcard ( not using gmail )
Its impossible to open settings menu, so I can enable wifi, I figured out a way to enable bluetooth by sharing something, but it cant receive APK files
Cant enable developer option so I can use ADB but no sucess
anyone has an idea ?

I fixed the problem by trying to add a google account with no 3G, and then, it asked if I wanted to use wifi.
This way I downloaded a new launcher from the web.
