new version 4.005 ??

I remeber reading that someone had a newer vesion of the rom(same as one i read about that was in a o2 pdf file?)
Has anyone got it yet?

try this, from memory its the only non-Jeff download i've ever used and my machine reported 40005. That was the version i was having the gprs problems with, and never solved them so i went back to 1.2.

Ali-Butt: I think it's realistic to assume that large corporate entities who are protecting the rights to their brand new OS may be aware of what goes on in a forum like this. Please understand there's people out there that can't share everything they have. They may have signed NDAs that allow Microsoft or some other large corporate entity to take all their worldly possesions if they share.
I'd still like it if such people felt comfortable here, and shared their experiences.

This is the same Version & build as the 4.00.01 ROM that has been posted here. It also has the same Radio version. There might be other apps in the newer ROM but the OS seems to be the same.
Here is what I have:
ROM version: 4.00.01 ENG
ROM date: 05-16-03
Radio Version: 6.18.00
Protocol version: 324e4
MS PPC Version: 4.20.1081 (Build 13100)

4.00.05 is already posted out there
I'm running this upgrade right now, and it smokes compared to the O2 Ozone version. Much more stable, no extraneous crap like Bluetooth settings that just tease us, as they are not there. If you look through the xda dev forum, you will find a link. Also, try pocketpcpassion.com's forums, and there is a link there. Have fun, it's better.

Are you sure it is 4.00.05 ENG? Could you please post the link here as I couldn't find it after a search.

i think i may have an answer to the 4.00.05 debate - altho eveything else i do seems to confuse.
XDA staff were given the option of installing v4.00.05 at about the same time on one of the boards messages were seen quoting an upgrade to 4.00.05.
The version issued to XDA staff is the operating system. the 4.00.05 upgrade on the boards is the radio stack.
All other operating system upgrades i have seen are 4.00.01.

No it isn't: we have a ROM which is 4.00.05, and we've also seen 4.00.01, so they both exist, and they're both ROMs, not RSUs.

If you have the Rom 40005, why will you not share, PLEASE.

I don't know where he get the 4.00.05 rom, but the Modified WM2003 rom from his web site is 4.00.05.

for my S/N HTC says: "Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device."

When i log in (selected country netherlands) to the e club
theyve got some ringtones for download ... kinda cool. but no software update.
when i select worldwide i also get the: " Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device." message damn damn .. cus it may be a wm6.1 rom... but it doesnt say what it is exactly.. or what the improvements and upgrades are

on the polaris and touch forums there are the same non working updates.. some guy on the polaris forum says that htc has planned wm 6.1 update for sept 08... so maybe thats it or... its just a rumour...

Updating firmware?

Hello all, I've had my X1i for about a month now. I've noticed theres an updating application on the CD included with the X1 for my PC. Should I use this to update the firmware on the X1i? I remember reading some posts awhile back that updating it caused some X1s to brick. Is this problem still widely spread? Can I now use the update software safely?

The easiest way is to find the thread in the ROM section with the NEW firmwares. There are instructions on how to install them just using your Memory Card which is quick and efficient.

So I found the thread...one question though...how do I know which one to install?

The answer to your question is posted all over the place, as well as the thread you found.
If you want to keep the Generic_UK rom (Not branded by any companies), you have to wait till it comes out.
Or even better, wait for the new firmware to get expertly cooked up in a lightning fast beast!

I live in Sweden and have an unlocked X1i (Swedish). Used the update service. The program told me that I already got the latest FW, but I chose "install new FW anyway".
I had R1A before, but now I have R2AA.
Seems like the new FW is already out!

Yes the new firmware is out, R2A ROM version 1.03.936.6.
So have anyone tried it yet?
Would love to have some reports before proceeding.

i also used SE update software but according to SE my ROM is up to date.here is my rom details:
rom version:1.02.931.3
rom date:08.29.08
radio rom:1.06.25.29
xperia 1i windows mobile build is:
5.2.19608.1.2.60
and i got my phone MTN South Africa.and phone is sim unlock.i didnt see any carrier customization.my questions are
1)is it my rom up to date?
2)if i want use a rom which rom i must use?UK generic or what?

Haven't tried yet but someone said it will connect faster to the network than before.

You canNOT flash any ROM, only via SEUS
You get those infos from settings...ABOUT.
But this wont' help you install the ROM you have! You canNOT install any ROM yourself!
Only update via SUES system from SonyEricsson. You can afterwards change the language(!) using the given link above!
But this won't change any ROM, only the language!
You can connect your phone via PC with SEUS and update if you don't have the newest version. That is all.

[Q] Revert from Jailed original unbranded Nodo. I want to jailbreak it!

Since the apparently right thread is being redesigned I thought of post my own thread.
I have an original unbranded Trophy purchased in The Netherlands.
Used to be Jailbroke but I never managed to make the registry fix, so after the Nodo update it's jailed again.
I'd really want to jailbreak it again but apparently the only way to accomplish it is to flash it back to a pre-Nodo unbranded rom and assure that is registry fixed and jailbroke before going through the update.
I went through the explanations of master Ansar but I'm still in doubt as of what ROM is the one I should be using and where to get it.
These are the specs coming from system information app:
Model: HTC 7 Trophy T8686
Screen resolution: 480 x 800
Display language: English (United States)
Region format: English (United Kingdom)
OS version: 7.0.7390
.NET CLR version: 3.7.10302.0
Firmware version: 2250.09.12000.401

This is my work phone so I cannot afford mistakes. ¿is it wise to pursue this or I better wait for a real nodo Jailbreak fix?

But I think, this only worked for you, because you already had an unbranded phone before flashing this ROM. People with branded phones will need another ROM.

I dont know if you still have that question but according to the data you provide the rom you want is
RUU_Spark_HTC_Europe_1.10.401.04_Radio_5.52.09.16_ 22.33a.50.10U_by_ansar from this post.
After flash unlock you phone and use Advance Config Tool to keep it from relocking ..
Its easy there ..it just a tick in the settings
