Yep, another largely positive review
I didn't know it had an FM-radio??

thanks for posting the link!
hmm not bad..
"Unlike the default Android home screens, the Samsung home screens always start from the leftmost side (like an iPhone), making you swipe through 6 screens just to get to an app or widget on the 7th page."
he can click on the circles to access the 7th page immediately, which is faster than having to "multi-touch" to get an overview of all screens and then selecting..
"The Samsung unlock screen is in our opinion more confusing than the default Android 2.1 unlock screen"
lol......... he can swipe it any direction he wants to access the phone.. how is that confusing..
"To post something on Facebook or Twitter, you have to use the confusingly-named and designed Write and Go app, which looks more like a notepad."
design looks fine and simple to me of write and go..
"There are almost no delays throughout the system (except when installing apps, as on other Android phones); programs open and close almost instantly,"
yay, phew.. many were complaining about slow and laggy browsing so that's good to hear.
nice battery life test and that's with 100% brightness which I will never use, so that's cool =D
strange that sony x10 performs so bad... I would not have expected that..
"At very, very few times - fewer than any other Android phone in the gigahertz speed class - did we notice slowdowns or jerky scrolling in the Android UI itself."
awesome

I am looking for a launcher plugin with large icons
cLaunch
try this:
http://pachome1.pacific.net.sg/~welic/claunch.html
is there any application which is "simpler" no needs for the tabs and pages...
just a quick launch plugin with large icons (thumb pressable) to quickly open some applications
tdLaunch
You may try this one:

but Claunch is really good, once you gey used to it
What is the GUI Skining application you are using that "!STILL!" shows the phone signal icon. Most GUI Skinning apps cover this info up! Please let me know I can't wait, so excited!
GUI skin
The picture is not a screen capture of hops's XDA but taken from oabsoftware. And you are right, I didn't notice this. We have to ask them what were they using when they took this picture.
yes please do! I see sometime people doctoring the display to make their product look nice but, it really gets a lot of people excited about something that does not exist I have seached long and hard and nothing seems to be able to do it without cover the signal bars  so I thought it might be pocket blinds a new version but they still have the old one out from years ago no update, and it doesn't work. So needless to say my hopes are high here. So keep us posted I'm sure I'm not the only one wanting this 8)
Hi all... Here's a free program which is a Today replacement, it's still in early beta, but it seems promising. I don't know if it has been posted in this forum, so i'm sorry about it if so.
I've tested it on my Trinity, it runs quite fast. it's still too early to be used regularly, but it's a nice concept.

woooooow!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's very coool where do you find it????
Is it a total replacement or does it run on top of the normal ui so you can toggle between the normal today screen and this app?
Nice idea, doesnt work very well, heavy on processor & lots of features not supported yet, like sound mute on/off & wifi

I already said it's early beta, many things still don't work, but it's still a nice concept

(he only starts showing it after second 34)
It has been asked here and there over this forum, but this is the main area, so its better to ask here...
Any way we can get the rom to extract a cab or something? I dont think its hardware dependent, so it should work on our machines...
Anybody...?
PS: I think the iphone came and slap M$ and all the ppc makers right on the face with its 200mhz machines since 2003 and 64/128 low ram micro upgrades...
Now these great plugins start showing up here and there and machines suddently have 4 gb of rom, finally some long-awaited REAL upgrades!
I wonder if the rotation animations can be ported i mean even though you may not have a accelerometer it my still hide the usual lag.
Actually I was refering only to the gadgets...
The diamond album was easily re-used by other htc's, but you couldnt turn the images because you had no accelarometer, it worked fine without anyway...

Agreed! The way the screen changes orientation is slick.
its cool..oh man why nowadays peoples brain are getting smarter..always out with something new
I was getting annoyed at iPhone users shoving one of these in my face, so here's a reply.
Simply install, and run "InstantRimshot" from Programs. Then hit the big red button.
Notes:
The first play may be a little laggy
SndPlayAsync() is too slow for my liking.. If anyone knows a lightweight *.wav playing system that's fast and works on WM, tell me...
Needs WM6 and above (SndPlayAsync doesn't work on WM5, sorry about that)
My graphic skills are awful... If anyone has a better button, I'd love to use it instead of 20 seconds of me and GIMP...
Tap in the top 40 pixels to exit.
Should work on any resolution WM6 and above touch screen device.

hehe funny
but the sound isn't perfect imo.
Maybe you should copy it from here: http://www.instantrimshot.com/
I take it this is for following around our funny friends for each time they tell a joke?

I tried recording it from there, but it didn't work well...
If anyone has a better sound I'll happily use it.

How about an SadTrombone-Addon?
or how about the Cricket sound....we all have "cricket" worthy jokes
Here's a new app I'm working on which gives you a quick look at the status of all the tube lines, let's you view incidents on each line, gives you a scrollable tube map and a quick journey planner search form (takes you to results page on TfL's website)

I don't go down to London that often, but I still think this looks like the kinda thing I'd want on my phone ready for those occasions that I do. Interface looks neat, looking forward to trying it!
this looks fab, could do with this for a little trip to the big smoke tomorrow
Tagged for future reference
This application looks likely to be extremely useful for Londoners. Those who travel on the underground regularly know the service can be up and down especially on weekends.
Really Great App!! keep working..
Looks very good. To set it above others currently available in terms of functionality and usefulness please see if you can integrate station specific departure (train arrival time) timetable. Where the user can click on a station from the list of stations and then a specific line to see when the next train is arriving and where it’s headed towards. There is a tube app like that for android, can’t recall the name now.
