Someone sent me a picture with their iphone and when I went to properties, I got an option "show on map" which records the GPS position on googlemaps of where the photos was taken. This is the first time I have seen this! Can someone expalain how your own photos can show the GPS position of where photo was taken using goolge maps. When I go to my own photos , I do not find the option "show on map" under properties.
Thanks
It's easy with an HD2. In the camera select GPS-photo instead of Photo. Wait for the fix and 'click'. Now you have to option to open google maps when watching the photo in your album.

Is there a possibility to include GPS coordinates to A500 photos (during shot) ? Although GPS is locked, built-in application does not include gps coordinates to jpg exif. Is there some option to enable it ? There are some GPS tags in exif, but gps latitude and longitude is missing. Should I use different app to make photos with GPS coordinates ?
I'm guessing you just watched the news on t.v. or seen it on the internet. And seen where all the people was tracking peoples personal photos then?
Mine works fine if you have the option enabled in settings. "Location and Settings" and use GPS satellites. When you switch to the camera you will see the little compass and it blinking.
I don't know what TV news do you mean. Recently I've upgraded my phone HTC Tattoo to CyanogenMod 7.1.0.1 and the built-in Camera application now includes GPS coordinates every time I make a photo (of course with activated GPS module.) That's why I tried the same with my A500.
Whenever I activate GPS and start Google Maps, GPS icon is bliking. It's OK. But when I start Camera application, GPS icon disappear. Why ?
After you have turned on gps satellite, start camera app and touch the wrench icon and then turn on store location. You should see a blinking compass icon in notification area
I use czech user interface and this option is bad translated ! There is something like "Repository" instead of "Store Location". I turned it on and compass icon starts blinking in notification area and after shot GPS coordinates are included in exif now. Thank you !

Glad to be of help.
I did a search, but can't find a specific answer. I have a new S4 and took a variety of pictures in both vertical and horizontal orientation. Auto rotate screen is set to on in device settings. All photos displayed properly in the Gallery app, but when I uploaded all to Dropbox, some were orientated sideways and I had to manually rotate them clockwise. This is my first Samsung phone, but all other phones I've had before, Motorola, HTC, etc. did not do this. Am I missing a simple setting on the Samsung to keep photos in the proper orientation or is there a known problem with EXIF data? I have found others complaining about the same problem when emailing photos, uploading to Facebook, etc.
I've noticed that since phones autocorrect the orientation of pictures without saving the correct view. If the camera takes a picture in portrait with the home button on the bottom then there shouldn't be a problem. If you take a landscape picture with the volume buttons facing down, then there shouldn't be a problem. This is assuming the auto rotation is enabled in the screen settings. Yes, I've experienced what you are explaining with since websites. Trial and error.
Quickpic, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alensw.PicFolder is a simple and small gallery replacement that can fix orientation issues.

Thanks oscar, I'll give Quickpic a try and see if uploading from that app does the trick. I can work around the problem, it's just an annoyance I hadn't seen before. I guess Dropbox is one program that does not read the orientation flag properly, at least as output on the S4.

Does anyone know how I can move pics from camera album to another album??
Example: When I take a pic of my truck, that pic automatically goes to the album named "camera", now I want to move that truck pic to my album named "truck".
Any idea how to do this?
I thought I had already posted this, but I can't find my post.
I appreciate any help you can provide.
Thank you!
First go into your camera album select the pictures you want to move hold and long press till it's checked and a little box will appear in the uppwrbledt corners of each pic tap that box to check the other pictures you want to move. Then in the upper right corner you should see 3 dots lined up straight tap that should see an option that says move to album then tap the album you want to move it too....or at the top you can create an album...hope this helps.

That worked like a charm thank you. Let me ask this, I have other albums of various topics such as "work", when following your steps to move a pic it doesn't give me the same option to move pics from 1 album to another. Your steps only allow me to move pics out of the camera album.
EDIT: I'm trying to move pics from an album named "download", it will not allow me to move items from this album. Works great when moving from any other album.
Hope that makes since!
Huh, that's strange should be the same steps. May have to use "my files" then my device or as card (depending where you have them) and search for them there move them in the same manner as before.
Strange you cant move them I did notice I have pictures in my camera album that I moved already (still there for some reason) and they won't let me move them but I move all my pictures in the way i said.

Yeah crazy as heck! I hit your thanks button.
In the new thinQ update in camera settings it has a tab that says use QR code scanner on camera preview screen. What is this function and what is camera preview screen?I dont see anything on the main camera screen
A camera preview screen is the one you use to compose photos, i.e. the one you can see after camera start.
And this feature allows your phone to read QR codes (google for it if you don't know what they are...) right in the camera application.
It is available as a separate option because phone does not know if you want to take a photo of the code or actually read it and perform the action associated with it.

There is small "QLens" text next to the on-screen shutter button. Touch this "QLens" and then two new buttons appear below : "Visual Search" and "QR scan". Select QR Scan and there you go !

I sometimes use the front camera for video but I have noticed that everything is reversed, both pictures and video. For example, take a picture of a book with the front camera and the test will be back to front. Why is this and if there a way to fix this?
Open your Camera app.
Go to Settings (topmost left gear-like icon).
Then under the Pictures section, go to Save options.
Find the ‘Picture as previewed’ option and use the toggle button to turn it off.
Thanks!!!
