HTC Calculator is a loser!
Look at that screen(portrait mode),it only supports 9 digits!!!!!! if you are businessmen, can you use a calculator that only supports 9 digits?
Sometimes we need to do such calculation as 440000X20000=8800000000,while in HTC Calculator, the result is 8.8e+9.
HTC Calculator is merely a good-looking software that is almost useless in real life!
If HTC Calculator can support 15 digits which mainstream calculators feature, why we scout internet everywhere to find another calculator?
I have been using Panoramic Calc Pro and HiCal,they are great, but cumbersome.
What I need is a simple and quick calculator like HTC Calculator but with 15 digits in portrait mode.
Anyone recommend a good calculator for WVGA?

HTC Calculator supports 17 digits in landscape, so I don't see a real problem here. You don't even have to slide out the keyboard; the calculator autorotates.

I know this. but it's not easy to rotate the screen...anyway,it's awkward movement, when you move your hand to write the number, maybe the screen "eacapes' back to portrait mode, everyone knows what i mean.
plus, some roms....there is no auto landscape mode for HTC Calculator, you must slide keyboard out,moreover....in landscape,it's kinda scientific calculator,in screen it appears like this" 3+5*6-9". I want a calculator like the one we use in our office.

That has never happened to me, but if you're having problems with that, then that is annoying, indeed.

Ok, but that doesn't make the HTC Calculator a loser; it just does not work the way you want it to work. Apart from that it's a perfectly fine calculator.

you are right, if HTC Calculator has 15-digit support, all other commercial calculator software will go out of business.
New version HTC Calculator is very modern and prertty!
What a pity.

Well, I don't know what kind of business man are you, but if you move enough money to need more than 9 digits, I suggest you to have your own office, with a calculator on your desk, jeje
Anyway, if you slide the keyboard, you will have 17 digits, and it is very easy to write, I don't know what you mean by "the screen escapes to portrait mode", that never happeded to me. Maybe it's a ROM issue.
Anyway, I hope you find a good solution, and that your business keeps going over 9 digits in this crisis times!

Looks nice, but it sacrifices all of the memory functions, and removes a few of the math operator functions.
This one is floating around for some six month already. If you want the memory function, you can just use skins for built in calculator (default looks of this thing suxxxorz)

Personally I'm not a fan of iPhone cloning, but here's what these guys have been using (i sent my phone off to Body Guardz to get fitted, but I'll post my Today as soon as it gets back):
Slide 2 Unlock 2 - http://www.freewareppc.com/utilities/s2u2.shtml (i'll admit I do use this but I don't like the sliding part, I just needed a decent screen lock)

Almost forgot SPB Pocket Plus for Tabbed IE - http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/pocketplus/?en
I don't think I missed anything and Touch Cube 2.0 automatically shows the media player in the cube when WMP and HTC audio player is playing a song

there is only one keyboard to use with a diamond and that's TouchPal. have tried most keyboards and still looking for a better one. This is the fastest and best by a long way once you get used to using it.

Finger Keyboard VGA is the best IMO, especially if you need language specific characters like I do with Swedish. See link in my sig.
Touch Pal 3.5
Just love this keyboard app. The predictable text regarding word corrections and predictable word choice is phenomenal.
If you take the time to Read through this, then you will discover the hidden potential of this app
The video is great but Reading is Believing !
Here you go: For those of you who didn't see this, didn't look for it, or just didn't hear of it: The applications below have been ported from Rhodium & Topaz to fit on our VGA Diamonds. I did NOT port them, I only found them, tested & used all of them, and for lack of a better thing to do, I choose to collect & share them with you.
** If any of these don't work well for you, please tell me and I'll help you... NOTTTT! Don't you EVEN THINK about it.

Thanks. As this is related. Does anybody know how to get the new email wizard called up instead of the old one?
I hope im not hijacking but I figured it was directly related. Why should someone install the new one when they can't do it without running a shortcut?
How do I upgrade Opera? It's quite a few thousand builds newer than the one I'm running, but the installer says that the old version cannot be uninstalled. If I just continue with installation, there's bound to be issues.

Not necessarily. It is almost identical, files wise. It shouldn't be an issue to uninstall it if you have issues. You prolly have opera cooked in, so it will never be able to be uninstalled.
Thank you for the great sharing!
Im just wondering, is it possible to port the contact application, which integrates all your conversations (e.g. emal, sms, phone history) with a particular person

I already have. The only thing we are waiting for is the new manila from xboxmod. The contact editor is 90% tied into manila. So it is useless without it.

It is to auto-rotate without the need for third party apps. There is an app called G-Config that configures the sensor for apps that aren't already supported.

ezinput 2.0
For windows mobile?
I used SPB keyboard before I moved to Android. The buttons were pretty big, and the landscape mode was nice.
I use FingerKeyboard, I really like how it covers the soft keys to save space.
Touchpal is the best if you want the two-letter T9. There is also EZInput 2.0 that pcarvallo put out for qvga a while ago. It's very nice.
I use the Diamond keyboard for the WinMo, and for android I use the HTC_ime
I like the Resco Pro. Free download (trial)
I love the pcm keyboard (pocket contact manager keyboard). It was highly recommended when I got my Touch. I almost sent it in the first day and week for hating the keyboards, then found lots of posts recommending pcm, downloaded and kept the phone. It's free. i just turn off the text prediction and auto replace.
For Windows Mobile, FingerKeyboard is the best and it's free. You can read my review of it here: http://thismobilelife.com/?p=129.
For Android I like the HTC keyboard.

FingerKeyboard is indeed most excellent, but I find the keys in Resco's Pro version easier to use.
