I heard that some people are actually seeing a 4G signal in the Los Angeles area but I'm not seeing it in my area so I am curious if anyone could post a screenshot of their phone with 4G working. Thanks!

There is no 4G in California right now.
There is in Los Angeles, but unofficial and doesn't cover much. Here's my phone in downtown los angeles.

A few minutes ago I was able to get full signal strength 4G on Manhattan's upper east side. Running speedtest netted nearly 3mbit.... certainly promising.

ive gotten 7down and 1.5 up in the upper west side
i still get no 4g. Right next to Penn. I get about 2 minutes in queens on the LIRR, but thats it.
I've noticed it going up and down a lot lately, has anyone else? I had it working here with great speeds @ Worth & Lafayette for about a week and then it disappeared. Now it just cycles from scanning, connecting and back to scanning. Still works great for me in Brooklyn, though @ King's Highway and McDonald Ave.
It looks like they're starting to flip the switch on 4G here in OKC.

Awesome, same things happening here in Tulsa too. I was starting to think they forgot about us in Oklahoma.
Some areas here in Lawton are covered, but the college is about 2 blocks from any coverage... Seems that the areas in Lawton that are covered have no one in the area that can use it... lol. It has expanded recently though, it wasn't anywhere west of I-44, but now its even up to Cache & Sheridan intersection. I heard from a source that we are expected for 4G around spring, and so far, he has been right.
I was driving by the fairgrounds in OKC today and flipped on WiMAX for the hell of it like I occassionally do and it connected. I only stayed connected about 30s or so, but I was streaming music and I switched to Slacker and it was downloading... I got disconnected and was never able to get back on... Is this normal?
I'm running CM7. In advanced under WiMAX it shows Signal Strength (Simple) as Excellent.
Here is something for everyone to look forward to.

That's the power of Verizon 4G LTE for ya! It's the only network with true 4G speeds.
I like to call the other network's "4G" speeds a slightly modified 3G experience. Or call it 3.1G speeds, because in reality that's what it is! Lol.
not true 4g yet, needs to at least hit 100mbps but its still nice
Has anyone received any info on turning their xooms in for the upgrade. I remember hearing it would happen in Sept and it is the 24th and I have received nothing thus far? I logged into the Verizon site to give my info and still nothing?
just wondering if you guys are getting the same or better data performance with your 3G connection. if you do not mind sharing your download speeds and latency along with location. i live in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Where are you located?
I just got these high speeds the other day and am on Stock kernel...
Dallas, TX. I was sitting on my patio outside and ran it 3 times and got insane speeds. Went inside and I'm back down to 12MB. Thought it was strange as I've never seen these speeds before.
I get those all the time 80+ in orange county ca.
Just now running on Stock Kernel.
