Gmail app on X10 does not send e-mails ? - XPERIA X10 General

When I reply to message I get on bottom of the screen message saying "Sending..." and it dissapears for some seconds but red "Sending" on the message remains, EVERY TIME ! The message is sent only if I refresh manually and then those red letters dissapear also. If I leave it that way e-mail is not sent.
What is the problem here ?

Anyone ? Is it possible that I am the only one to have this problem ?

no, it doesn't work on my htc tattoo too, I don't know why...

Something is wrong with Gmail these days. I cannot sent email from Outlook.
But I sent from my X10!!! No problem here.

It is not only these days, it is since I got the phone 1 month ago. And it is not Gmail problem but the phone, it doesnt send e-mails somehow until you refresh manually. Dont know what could cause that....

Have you guys got the google mail ticked under settings>Data sync?
My google mail wouldnt send from my x10 until i ticked that, works fine now.

That was it !! Tnx a lot ! I tought that this is to sync contacts with Gmail and I dont want that. Can you explain what exactly this thick do ? I dont need it to check e-mail in background since I get via SMS notice when e-mail arrives.
Tnx a lot, I would never figure it out.

3rd party email problem

Hey everyon, so through my email app I hve my hotmail account syncing up to it. The problem I have is that when I receive an email and delete it from my phone, it does not delete it from my email account. I only check my email by computer every couple of days so its a PITA to delete a couple hundred emails when I do get on a computer. Does anyone else experience this and if so is there a work around or a free app that will sync my email and delete them from the server as well as my phone

Switch to gmail... it is way better. Plus why would you have a hotmail account with a google phone...

Probably because I've had the email account for years before I had the phone, hell i'vehad th account before there was gmail. I understand that it is a google phone and that Gmail works better with thr phone but With over 200 email contacts I can't just drop my hotmail account.

First off, I don't have experience with your senarion.
That said, have you checked any settings on the phones email app nd hotmail for this problem? Also, do the emails that don't get deleted appear read? Or they unread?

OP, try Maildroid. Within its settings you can set how it interacts with your server.

I've checked settings in the stock email app and didn't see any options for this problem....also the emails appear unread on the internet when they are deleted from the phone

If you go into the email app, then 'Settings->Incoming server settings->Delete email from server', you can change it from 'Never' to 'When I delete from Inbox', although I have had mixed results with this actually working on my Hotmail account. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt.

Can't Send Email on the Atrix!

Thought everything was all well on my Atrix but everytime I reply to my yahoo email or try to send a new one it says message not sent.
I receive emails no problem.
The odd thing is I'm pretty sure I initially send an e-mail to test it when I first got it and it worked.
I've read there's seems to be a common problem. Any idea what to do/change?
I've tried to go thru all the e-mail settings and what not, nothing seems to be doing anything? Is there an app that's getting in the way.
Ughh, this is frustrating.
I use Gmail for most things and it works fine. I have issues receiving and sending with Yahoo with the Yahoo app. I believe its a common problem.

gmail works fine but I made a yahoomail my default account in blurrrr.
I'm not using an yahoo app, just the stock e-mail thing.
How come when you use gmail it does not say "sent from my Motorola Atrix" ?
If I turn off wifi, it works.
Seems like a known problem searching around the net.

Atrix Push Mail problem

Hi im using gingerbread 3.5 right now and i have somo problems about push mail:
1.-i have maildroid installed with an hotmail account, the push thing works here only when i conect to a wifi network and mail come very delayed like 1 hour later.
2.-gmail never uses push in my phone i never got any notification only when i go to accounts and make manual update thing in the gmail account.
I hope anybody can help me with this
Tnx
check your battery manager and data saver settings... battery saver if its on like night time mode or something i believe shuts down push services (my guess based on thei description)...
so turn off data saver and keep battery manager at performance... enable gmail "email" sync and it should push fine after... dunno about the other app
I was having a similar issue with a personal email account. I could send emails fine but I never received them, this only occurred with the stock email app, I blame motoblur, I have never had the problem with any other Android device. I installed Enhanced Mail which worked, but like your issue, mail came an hour or so later then I was used to. It will normally hit Outlook on my Macbook and within ten minutes be pushed to my phone. I used ADB and installed the stock Froyo email app and all my issues are fixed, as for your Gmail problem, do as danial said.
Tnx for the answer, but i fixed the problem, it was because in the very beggining of the configuration google ask you to use ur ubication or something, i disable it the first time thtas why i got thr issue, now is enable and works fine, tnx

Samsung email app aint syncing my gmail

Hi, as title says, I have problem with provided application from samsung, while using premium accpunt, so my emails can be pushed to me... happened to me a second time, that its not getting any new messages for some reason, not even when I refresh it manualy... anyone has similar issue?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
Edit: When in settings I try to update incoming server settings, it asks me for password and email, after entering those it gets me 'An error occurred while sending data. please try again. (104)'
But my other account on LIVE works just perfectly, its just this gmail account that sometimes works sometimes doesnt...
Ok, seems nobody else is having a problem in here, so there must be something wrong with my security settings on gmail then..
Umm, why not use the Google-made Gmail app?

I dont like it, you also cannot get hotmail/live/any other mail into it, I dont like the look of it, and it lacks push notifications...
