How about your LOUDSPEAKER - does the other party to your call get lots of cutouts of your voice?
I've searched to find out if this is a common fault on the magician but not found anything.
It is definitely the same fault on both C500s I previously owned.
Come on HTC please fix this loudspeaker problem!
If other companies can do it flawlessly why can't you guys!!! :?:
(other than that problem very happy with this phone)
You must be referring to the mic. In any case I have no problems with the mic or speakers in my unit. Upgrading to the latest ROM has helped many users. There are a number of threads discussing this matter.
Yes sorry it must be the mic at fault when the loudspeaker process is selected. I did search for this to no avail so if oyu can link to it would be grateful.
In any event I have an up to date rom i believe?
Hi,
Today, I just tried to check the speaker quality for Qtek9100. It is not at all good. Infact the person on the other end could hardly understand what I was saying. I tried calling my cell from my home phone and it was true. There was a lot of static in the sound and I could bearly hear my wife talking. It sounded more like an incorrectly tuned FM station.
Have any of you guys faced this problem ? is there any settings that can be done ? Some sort of calibration or somehting like that.
Please let me know
Anup
I got a solution to this problem on this forum

From what I read here, its a known HTC wizard problem I guess. But the registry tweak will help you get over it.
i use an o2 xda mini and the ppl whom i talk to always complain that they can not hear me loud enough (in fact they can hardly hear me)
can i tweak my magician in any way to increase mic sensitivity.
some ppl told me its because of accumulating dust over the mic but i got it cleaned but the problem persists.
can anybody help me regarding this please?
help plis
I agree, receiver at the other end asked me to shout than she can hear..
this has something to do in the registry but i don't know where actually is that entry.
can somebody help?
please
please.. cud somebody rectify this T_T
Hello people my name is Adrian i'm from Argentina and i am new in this forum.
i have a question, i have a Qtek A9100 with Wm6 (ROM TNT 5.0) and work great
The problem is i test some software to record calls, like Resco Audio Recorder, VITO Audio Notes, PMRecorder and work fine but the problem is these software just record my voice, don't record the other side. To record both sides i have to activate the loudspeaker, but i don't want this, i want use the phone without speaker on. Do you know some way to record both sides without speaker on?.
Thanks so very much.
Best regards.
Adrián
somebody can help me? thanks
The short answer: no.
The long answer: this is a hardware issue, and to date, there have been many suggestions offered, but no definitive solutions found.
You would have known this, if you had searched this forum before posting. This is something that will get you flamed if you do it too often. Search first. The built-in search feature works very well, if you tell it to only search the wizard threads.
Also, bumping a thread that's only two hours old is not considered good etiquette. This is a bulletin board, not a chat-room. It may take hours, or even days before you get a reasonable answer. Most of the really talented people offering information on this board only get here once a day, or even every other day. Next time, just wait. Your patience will be rewarded.
Just some friendly advice.
Hi, i just bought new diamond2 3 months ago however a week ago there's no sound coming from the earpiece.. i've to turn on the speakerphone to listen to the caller.
any help is greatly appreciated.
have been using the phone as a modem quite extensively though.
I have posted this thread about faulty earpiece of Diamond2:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=546231
Other user has also noticed there is issue about the earpiece, one of these threads is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=548857
I have mentioned in my post that more and more users may comeacross this issue. Someone may believe this issue relates to some certain manufacture lot, HTC should hold responsible to announce which lot should be return just like some Japanese car returning for changing those problematic part(s).
Thanks. Guess i've to send it to HTC servicecentre then.
