Hello,
Lately I've got a problem with Led notification for a new text message.
When I soft reset my phone and I got a new text message the led is blinking but when I get the second one I hear only the sound of a new message.
When it works phone behaves:
-blinks (led notification)
-icon of new message in bar
-a new message in SBP mobile shell 3.5.4
-a new message in S2U2 on lock screen
When it doesn't work phone behaves:
-NO blinking (led notification)
-icon of new message in bar is present
-NO new message in SBP mobile shell 3.5.4
-NO new message in S2U2 on lock screen
I had SBP mobile shell 3.5.3 but the same happened.
I have the newest S2U2 mayby here is a problem ?
I've noticed one I think very a important thing.
When I get further messages I can see one home screen (SPB) that for less than a second a new text message is present and after that it disappears. Also the led notification makes two fast blinks and turn off completely.
Maybe this problem is connected with marking message as read by the system?
Any one can help with solving? I searched xda for the same problem and I did find nothing.
simply the led notifications arnt stable :/ we need a fix
Yes it's the simplest solution but we have to wait for HTC until they release new rom with fixed issue.
But maybe someone knows what is blocking the notifications as I reported on a second post in this thread one blink is present.

led lights wont stob blinking tried everything from nueled 2 changing registry 2 allow notification changes but still nothing still getting that annoying blinking on txt and emails and wont cut off!!!!
same here. can't seem to find a registry tweak resource or even just a basic setting to control this. the notification control panel has all the LED options grayed out.
Hi,
I am hoping that you could help me with these.
The first is a minor issue while the second is really starting to annoy me.
When I get a new SMS/text message, the normal yellow envelope appears in the notification bar. I drag down the notification bar and read the text message. However, if I just press the menu key to exit the messaging application, the yellow envelope stays there. However, if I exit out using the back key, the yellow envelope disappears.
As of about 10 mins ago, when I get a SMS, I now get the yellow envelope and a second white envelope about 2 seconds later. The white envelope will only disappear when I press the Clear button in the Notifications bar.
I cannot figure out how to get rid of the second white notification envelope.
Edit: I have since realised that it is in fact a postcard icon.
I've noticed this feature too...it doesn't seem to clear the notification unless you drill right into the text message...ie click on the speech bubble.only then will it register as being read.bit annoying but can cope with it.

Did you instal any 3rd party messaging clients? I have never seen the white envelope before
think the white envelope is an e-mail

Click to collapse
I can defo put up with this alright. By the way, you don't have to drill right down into the message. Just pressing the back button to exit out of the message is sufficient to clear down the yellow notification envelope
It is the second, the white notification icon, that is driving me mad. I can only get this to clear when I press the Clear button.
I just looked at it closer. The icon is actually a postcard.

I am pretty sure that I haven't. I just looked at it closer. The icon is actually a postcard.

I assumed too but it triggering everytime I get text message.
I figured out that it was "Beautiful Widgets: Pack 2" that was causing the problem.
thank you so much, because this was driving me crazy... i had reset my phone like 5 time because of this
How to change SMS alert ?
Hi everybody!
I want to create a custom SMS notification sound for selected persons on my phone.
When I can change a SMS alert for specific person, it's change for all...
Is it possible to do ?
I have tryed create specific folder with media for each person, but it doesn't work
Thanks
Hi I know there is an excellent app out which allows a little red square to appear on the screen when you get a notification.
I miss a notification led but was thinking could the lights for the touch buttonds be used instead, I was thinking used the menu button for email/text messages and the back button for missed calls as they kind of look like the right sort of symbols anyway, plus the screen wont need to be turned on at all ( the screen does produce some light when it is only a black background)
I will be taking tomorrow off work to attempt to learn android and possible make a simple live wallpaper but if anyone can point me in the right direction I may look at doing this also
a simple search pops up the original topic
"noled"

and then the exact same thing you asked is already on this other post

Alright, hopefully someone can help. I have ran this question elsewhere, with no luck. I am running a WVGA HTC Imagio with WM6.5 and a NRG custom rom with sense 2.5. I just recently installed and then removed the newest HTC Messaging Client. Couldn't send or recieve MMS messages. Thats all fixed now, but, whenever I get a text or MMS message, the notification bubble shows in my top bar, but nowhere else, not even my unread notification on Sense. It does show up in the standard lock screen (HTC's) however.
No, it doesn't show up in Titanium either, just shows 'no new texts'.
It also doesn't show up when I use ThrottleLauncher, iPhoneToday, Infinity, Androkkid, or Home2.
So, it shows up in the lock screen and on the top bar, but no where else. Any ideas?
also, why is my tag or whatever showing that 'OP' thing?
Alright, got a little more information. I checked HKCU/System/State/Mesages/SMS/Unread and the 'count' register. When I send a test text, it doesn't change, it stays at 0. BUT when I change it manually to '1', then it registers in all my systems (TL, iPT, Sense 2.5, etc).
But when I remove the '1', its back to where no notifications other than in the top bar and lock screen are given. I do get the usual message notifications via sound and vibrate as well.
So, does anyone have any idea on why it works for the lock screen and top bar, but not in sense or any other UI?
Hi Jerry,
I hope someone can answer this as I have exactly the same problem.
The "OP" means "opening poster"!
Thanks, and no luck yet. I hope someone can figure this out, becouse I am stumped!
And don't know what "Opening Poster" means, but guess its good!
If you happen to get yours fixed, remember to swing by this way!

Ok I don't know if this is a lollipop thing or a Whatsapp thing but I can't seem to find the solution.
Since the Lollipop update on my Vodafone Galaxy S4 I9505, I get a popup for my messages for (for example Whatsapp) on the top of my screen. I don't like that and would like to turn them off. I know now how to do that but then I don't get ANY notification except a number on my Whatsapp pictogram. What I would like is that I don't get the popup on top of my screen, yet get the number on my Whatsapp pictogram and keep the vibration. Is there a way to get that back? I can't seem to find it...
any help appreciated
