You have a Qtek version, and you're trying to upgrade to O2. Just get Jeff's XDA-developers Special Edition ROM exe file and run it. It's a 3.17.03 with extras, and it will make you happy.

I used a self extracting rom which ill e-mail you if you want as i dont have an ftp , you need to put you xda2 into to the cradle and run the file leave for 1/2 hour ish then hard reset

That won´t work, cause he has an "old" XDA and not the new XDA2...
The better way for him is reading a little bit in this forum. This question had been answered a few times. Also there is much about flashing the device. ROM´s can be found on some pages, edonkey, kitchen, ... many links in this forum.

I can dump the ROM into Part00.RAW~Part03.RAW, but no idea how to convert them into RUU format. Maybe wait for Polaris Rom Kitchen or something

I've changed the ROM to fix the correct Model ID and here is the link:

Hi All,
Forgot to mention that my upload has changed the page pool size to 12MB to improve performance.

how can you change the device id? I search all posts can't find a way.... hopefully you made it

I can't flash the rom and Error message show out.

changing language

Hi all,
i bought a Tattoo here in Ireland for my nephew that lives in italy. he wants to have italian as a primary language on the phone.
I read that I can download the official WWE rom and simply flash that to get the missing languages.
Has anyone tried by any chance? Risk of bricking the phone? Problems with SPL or radio versions?
Just want to make sure im not sending him a dud for xmas

I'd say flash the WWE rom from the android development site. It comes with a big list of languages (Including Italian ).

I have updated the rom now i can use greek language but in sms composing the T9 isn't availble for greek.
Could anyone help please?
The strange part is that it is availble when i write text in the internet browser

guys can you please explain..
- where did you get the rom? i found a version but is in zip format and you need to cid unlock the phone first with the goldcard. im not too keen on that.
i dont understand how could I install the zip other than renaming to update.zip and reboot to recovery?? could someone please enlighten me?

But the website is in chinese,and for sure the rom is chinese too...Wanted to ask,would it be possible to make a language pack in English or other languages? Or if someone can test it?
