Just wondering if anyone knows where the "featured photos" that come on the X10 are located in the phone so I can delet them. I have Astro and I can't seem to find them.

I want to be able to browse files on my SD Card [txt files, PDF's etc.] and ideally the phone itself. I cannot find a way to do it on the phone [no Folder explorer / My Documents or similar] or an App to do this on the Market.
1 Is this possible?
2 If so, whats the best way to do so?
Cheers
Rob
Try to find "ASTRO File Manager" in the Market.
I dont know if it supports QVGA.
Or search only for "File Manager".
Android file manager
I use filedroid on my Tattoo, which I downloaded of the market. I use it to install apps from the SD card. but have opened MP3 and pictures. I dont have a PDF reader so cannot verify that.
File Managers
Thanks for the Headsup, I am installing FileDroid now & will see what it can do for me. Astro File Manager doesn't seem to be available yet, but it seems that many apps are not listed untill they support my Tattoo's screensize, and more are coming all the time, so only time will tell I guess.
Thanks for the suggestions, any more ideas greatly received.

Astro is on there now just installed it on my partners and 2 kids Tattoo.
Yes Astro is available and the new updated version allows you to view photographs in slideshow style. I find astro a lot better than filedroid
I've placed pictures on an SD card in media/pictures. Most are in sub-folders with only a handful with no designation just floating around in media/pictures. When I went into pictures to choose a wallpaper EVERYTHING is there. All out in the open. No groups. Even album pictures from my media/music folder.
What's going on? I'd just like to, from the home screen, hit menu > wallpaper > pictures and have them show up in groups so I can just go to my media/pictures/wallpaper folder.
How can I just add walls to the Wallpaper Gallery? What file explorer is good to get from the Market Place?
I've looked around but the answers are scattered and file explorers are mentioned but no one's said outright "yeah, use this one..."
rly? i mean rly!? come on now...
So much activity around the forums and no one knows what to do for sorting pics on an SD card or accessing the default location for wallpapers...

Hi, how is you VB. Coding?
I had the same issue and I just wrote a simple program to rename the .jpg’s in the date order I wanted.
I can post the code if you want? I think its possible to do it in VBA as well, but I found there was a lot more information relating to the .NET stuff
Thanks but I was really just looking for a recommended directory structure for the SD card and a way to get the gallery to NOT show album art for my music. I tried naming the folder .music but then the phone could not find the music!
Also, I have custom ringtones/mp3's used as ringtones on my SD which the phone loses after having mounted it to the pc?! I set a ringtone for a contact then at some point I mount the phone to USB and then I find on my contact that the ringtone is now "unknown." I tried copying the mp3's I most use as ringtones to the phone but I was told that it could not be done by AndExplorer...
Kinda sad at this point. :\
Howdy,
I've been googling and searching forums for info on the location of the "Android wallpapers" folder on the EVO. The folder that starts with the purple static ball, then the green grass, etc.? But I can't seem to find any info on THAT folder. ugh.
I've been tapping every folder in Astro Filer Manager. But, I can't seem to locate the wallpapers...
Help?
Thanks,
Ian
Not sure what you are trying to do , but , If you want to add wallpapers , you can create a folder on the SD card called Wall papers , Then they will appear in the list when you want to change your wallpaper.
Dan
I'm trying to locate the actual Android wallpapers, as I would like to play with them in photoshop, then upload them to my SD for use.
the htc wallpapers appear to be in /System/customize/resource
Ok , well at this time most of this is beyond me , but , if you go here:
http://androidcommunity.com/forums/f37/wallpaper-directory-11685/
read that article , which will lead you back to an XDA article it should explain why we cant find them...
good luck
Dan
if you use toasts root, then nand unlock, you can get to them easily using android commander.
I have searched, and searched, and searched. Is it possible to change the wallpaper on Android on HD2? I'm using darkstones froyo most recent, and the 7/23 zimg. Everytime i search it always comes up with the obvious, press and hold home, tap wallpapers, etc... but i've copied pictures to my phone, put it in every folder and they never show up. Even when i use a file manager to find my pictures, they show up, but when i tap them. it's just a black screen. Is this one of the bugs/kinks? If so i'd like to know so i can stop fiddling with it...they are .jpg
Thanks in advance
(now watch, someone is gonna search and get it first result)
when the wallpaper app cant find the pictures I want to use I apply them using astro file manager.
If your transferring pictures while in Android' they wont work - while USB mode appears to be working i don't think it can write data to your card correctly so effectively your getting corrupt images.
If you transfer them in Windows before booting into Android you'll have more luck.
Also there's a decent Wallpaper app on the market called Zedge which allows you to download and apply wallpaper direct from the app - highly reccomended.
I got it. Close the thread.
Apparently, all the pictures i uploaded, all transfered over, but they all showed up as 0 bytes, deleted, re-uploaded. Worked. Sorry for the waste of space, shoulda caught it before.
Edit, actually before I go, does anyone know the resolution? 600x800? :x
The best resolution is 960x800
Cheers

Hi All,
I've got an interesting problem and I haven't found any hints elsewhere on this site or the interwebs. I have an HTC HD2 and I used the registry mod to enable GPS photos. Latest English ROM and no major mods other than Cookie's Home Tabs (which is awesome). I can take GPS pictures, show them on the map on the phone and upload them to Facebook.
The issue is, I can't find the GPS pictures anywhere on the storage device. All my photos go to /Storage Card/DCIM/Media100, but there are no GPS photos in there.
When I look at my Photo Albums on the native photo viewer, I have two Albums both named Media100. In one of these albums I have all my regular images, the same that show up in the folder listed above. In the other folder, I have all my GPS photos which I can handily view in the album (so I know they're still here somewhere).
If I search the storage card while on ActiveSync, I can find all the GPS photos that I'm searching for, but I can't access them to copy them onto my laptop.
This is a perplexing problem. It looks like somehow I have a memory naming issue and I don't know how to sort it out and I don't want to lose all my pictures. My last resort will be to go through and select each one and email it to myself, but that will take some time.
Any ideas out there?
Dan
