How To Force Bootloader Wizard?

i cant get my wizard to go to bootloader ? is there a way to force it ?

thnx for the help.. i did follow the steps mentioned.. but it styll doesnt wrk. whn i try to flash the rom.. it supposedly looses connection wid the computer .. the screen looses the light buh the wizard is on all the way.. u cant use it though.. buh the lights are still blinkin.. (the wifi and phone)

hey, my mda doesnt even turn on anymore, do u guys think its the battery but the battery was fine when i flashed it but then it doesnt boot to the window, so i took the battery out and put it back in and it doesnt turn on anymore.. i tried the camera, rest button and other stuffs. do u think my phone is bricked? or i should def. get a new battery and try it out?

I suggest you back to your Official rom first then start over again. I do this many times. Activesync always loose its connection before start flashing. It's a normal procedure. When you mention that your Wizard is still up and on the way, what you mean exatcly? Be more specific bringing point details on where you are stuck for instance. Then I'll try to help you out.

Sounds a power problem to me. I've been into this couple of times after being in a bootloader mode for a long time. Plug the Wizard directly into the powerwall to start charging then back to your flashing process first doing with an official rom. I don't think you have bricked it.

sry, i forgot to mention that it doesnt even charge too, both powerwall or pc

Try to enter in a bootloader mode by hold on the camera button while pressing the reset button. You'll go to bootloader. If not, remove battery one more time, wait seconds and put it in back. Then, force bootloader again and try to charge through powerwall. You should get an orange light or similar during recharging. Check your model. Hope it helps you this time.

which version is it ,G3 or G4,and which Rom were trying to upgrade with.
Well,if its a G3 then,there's some power problem,but if it's a G4 and you tried to flash a Rom with IPL/SPL included,well its a brick.

Yeah...unfortunately zabardast_1 is right about your device. If it is a G4 and you flashed a G3 ROM, you could have bricked your techtoy! Hope you knew what you was doing at that time!

i have HP ipaq 6815 and i.ve try to upgrade my ROM...but my SD card was not empty and ask to format the card.i shut down the phone and take off the batery for a while and now wont started...i've try with a diferent SD card not working...please can anyone tell me how to fix this problem...

this is how i fix my problem...
First:
Remove the mini sd card
Remove battery
wait 5 minute minimum
press and hold Soft Keys and Sof Reset
Insert battery, release Soft Reset
release Soft Keys
Device is switch on and entering in Boot Loader.
i cant say thx becouse no one help me...i hope this will help for those who has the same problem...so...i'm happy to help

hey i need ur help... i was upgrade with new rom.. after it complete i cant power on my phone... its not come to bootloader... only blinkingcharge light... dispay is full black after pressing power button.. not power on...

yuo must Hard reset the device after that reFlash with official ROM for your device

My HTC Magic is bricked

I've got a "Brick" HTC Magic - Vodafone.
Basically, when i press the power button doesn't start. It happened after follow the "Install / Update SPL" ( http://code.google.com/p/android-roms/wiki/SPL ) guide.
Is there any way to recover it? or should i put it on the bin?

You're going to have to be more specific than "it doesn't start".
Does it turn on? If so, does it hang at the htc magic screen? Can you hold vol-down and press power (while still holding vol-down) and load a screen with three androids on skateboards? If you can do the last step, it's not bricked, and you should look at the thread I have below about bricking and semi bricking, one of the users on there gave a great amount of information on what you can do if your phone's not working right (bricked).

Here is the answer for your first question (sadly, the rest of questions can be skipped):
Does it turn on?
It doesn't
It was after follow the guide i mentioned before. I tried to update the SPL, but something went wrong and my phone didn't turn on again.
So... I think I have to accept the fact is not going to work again.
Is there any kind of service able to fix this?

You probably tried taking out the battery for 10 seconds and then putting it back?

hi everyone. I have a big problem with my htc touch cruise when I installed a hard spl htc dedicate a Diamond.donc I had a white encrant after I did a hard reset since my htc no longer I have a black encrant are neither green nor orange but when I connect with the pc I am data interface and it does not recognized my htc. In my pay is not qualified repairman three non réparé.aidé unable to please me I tried the commands mtty.exe but does not c I do not really know how it works.

I'd really like to say it DOES something... but it doesn't . I tried Volume down + power, back + power and several more combination always taking out the battery and putting it back.
It's bad... Do u know if there's any hardware service for this?

Just a wild guess, but since the phone sucks more battery, then a vampyre on rampage.
Could it be an idea, to charge the battery before, or have the usb cable pluged in, when you press back+home? (the same buttons you used to enter fastboot)

I'm pretty sure what you're trying to say is, you know enough about the phone to know how to bring it into it's multiple boot options, and none of them make the phone even burp. So there's no need to tell you to press this button plus that button, or insert usb or remove usb, or battery or such, because you've already done all that.
Well, I'd have to agree with you that it's dead. Unfortunately, there's nothing to do at the moment. I'm guessing (or maybe just hoping) that in the future there will be an unbricker for our phone, much like those available for many htc branded winmo phones. In the meantime, how old is your phone? Can you still bring it back?

If it's really a brick and we all want to learn something from this then we need to know the following :
1. What was your original SPL
2. To which SPL did you "try" to upgrade? (I hope you didn't try to flash a G1 SPL on your Magic...).

That's how my brick arrived ! Tried Hard SPL, after installing the one you suggested. Yours okay, Hard SPL no. But even after installing the spl, no fastboot adb.

BRICKED by HARD SPL ( the recommended )
Same here, I have just bricked my new vodafone HTC Magic (Vaffanc...)

I hope something can be done. It is not reacting to power button at all.

I think you are right, I have flashed the G1 SPL. But the page is really not clear, it start speaking as Dream/Magic and probably it is only for Dream. Since it says to apply the Hard Spl and in the download link(http://code.google.com/p/android-roms/wiki/SPL) there is no clue that it is not for the G2.
Any idea? anybody got it changed from the shop with no problems? (mine is vodafone in the netherlands)

as far as i can see no need to flash spl on vodafone magic. i have the same phone and all i did was root with Rav1.1.1G.img and flashed rom of my choice. you have flashed phone with g1 spl and it actually says g1 on the link you provided..........can't see how you missed it. with phone off press home+power button as that bring up recovery image. Rav image file is safer due to that. i am sure if hardspl was available for Magic it would be posted on here as a sticky

You did brick one with the hardSPL and now you bricked another with the same stuff? Didn't you learn the first time? Only way is to go back to the store and tell em you did it again.

It seems to me you need to go back to basics and start here

A noob question but what exactly does flashing a new SPL unlock.
I got my Vodafone UK HTC magic and simply Downloaded a 32B ROM and used nandroid backup to apply the update.zip and it installed fine and can use Root required apps.

I Can not understand how can this be possible. Why guys all of you, don't read before trying to change your SPL???? You even don't need any changes about it?! Why do you try to change the SPL? Do you know what that SPL does? I think most of you - don't.
My next question is why all of you are trying to flash the G1 SPL onto Magic phone? Are you crazy or what? There is NO HARDSPL for Magic (G2, Sapphire or whatever you want to call this device)!
The SPL collection is posted in this forum by Amon_Ra, and if someone want to change the SPL can do this by downloading some of the SPL collections posted here.

Power off your phone! Then press and HOLD the "back button", while holding it press once the red one(which you usually use to power on the phone). It will power on (i hope). If you get in fastboot mode then everything will be fine.

Need some help, my Magic 32A was bricked last night..

I tried to up the new radio version for my magic yesterday. after updated I never off it by back+home botton. After restart I got this hang on screen below and never do anything with it. Can't fastboot, ADB. after I dig last night. I have less information about this. I thing I will get more info If I ask to you all. Pls let me know haw can I recover it back.

Take the battery out of your phone, hold the volume down button, put the battery into the phone, if the phone doesn't start turning on, continue to hold the volume down button and press the power button. Keep holding the volume down button, if this works, you will see the fastboot screen.

What radio is that exactly? the 19.26I is the newest one for Magic. Attempting to flash Hero Radio breaks your phone!

Acer s200 is unresponsive after it got accidentally disconnected from update

Hi everyone got a bit of a problem and would appreciate a bit of help , My acer s200 is unresponsive now , no blinking lights, nothing. I was in the middle of updating to ROM - English 3.003b.00.EN when it got accidentally disconnected.
I have had a look on the forum but had not luck finding anything that will help me out.
Any help would be apprerciated please.

hard reset the device and take it to go back to the bootloader mode, then flash rom again

Thanks Hakim Rahman for the reply and link. I have 2 more questions what is the best way to hard reset the phone please? I have seen quite a few different ways to do this which i have followed with no luck as of yet. Also what is the best flash rom to use?

I have tryed to hard reset using the methods below which i think is the correct methods but still my screen is dead
Method 1. "Reset by pressing button combination Hold the Volume up and Volume down buttons while pressing reset until the screen shows “Clean Boot”.
And this way
Method 2. Hold vol up and vol down and press power.

Anyone please point me in the rite direction for the hard reset that will actually work please?

seems correct, but to make sure you try to look at http://www.hardreset.eu/acer_s200_hard_reset_soft_reset_en.html

My phone has nothing happening at all it is completely dead, the battery was charged before it went off so i know that is still charged. I can't believe all i done was caught the wire and it came out of my phone while i was updating it to the latest Rom that i downloaded from Acer So will the hard reset still work even though nothing is coming on at all on my phone? The phone at the moment does not even light up Surely it can't be broken all together can it?
