ROM Manager Download Error - Nexus One General

Hello,
I'm blissfully running the CyogenMod 5.0.6 on my Nexus One, and after reading about the Froyo OTA, I wanted to revert back to the stock image to see if the update ever came to me. Here is where my issue exists: ROM Manager (1.8.1.4).
Whenever I go to download the stock image for my N1, I get the error message "ROM Download Error (for the Nexus One EPE76)." Any ideas on why?
Thank you
[EDIT}Yes, I do have ROM Manager Premium.

Ask here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=639153&page=14&highlight=manager

Error Applying Part 1 of the 2.1 OTA Update

I have been waiting for the Hero update.
I saw that if you set your clock forward to any time in July you get it straightaway.
I did this and it worked like a charm.
The moment I moved my clock forward a month I got the update.
The update downloaded fine and then I hit the button to "update now".
When the Hero reboots to apply the update I get the following :
Build : RA-HERO-v1.2.2
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E:No signature (218 files)
E:Verification failed
Installation aborted.
Any idea why this is ?
I have a Desire now as my main phone so I had done a full factory reset on the Hero in anticipation of the update.
The only non-standard thing is that I have a custom recovery ROM.
Could this be the problem ?
If so, how can I get rid of this ?
Cheers.
That's the problem. I had the same. You have to revert back to the stock boot loader.

How do I do that ?
Either by applying the backup that you where supposed to make when you flashed the cyanogenmod (in the same way as you applied cyanogenmod) or by applying the official 1.5 Rom...

The problem is that when I try to reapply the stock 1.5 ROM using RUU the update says it cannot see my Hero connected via USB even though HTC Sync can see it just fine.
I ran into the exact same problem. If you have a rooted ROM it is very easy. The recovery image is actually included in the Part 1 download you can find here on the forums. (Found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=679180)
You need to use the adb tool in the toolkit to flash the HTC recovery image and then run the update. You do need root though, or you will get an access denied when you try to flash the recovery image.

Help with update
Ok guys... I'm new here and I need some help. Anyone able to help me???
So, I have an update telling me to update my wifi software and as I go to do that, it sends me to the main boot menu (where there is the factory reset is located) where I can't do anything but reboot.
Anyone able to give me some help?? I would gladly take the help.

Flashable Stock ROM

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I'm trying to find a flashable version of the stock ROM (ideally, the latest update) for the DHD.
I've been on shippedroms.com and downloaded the RUU I need, but I have an issue with Windows 7 (which, judging by google, lots of people have) whereby the installer doesn't recognise my phone as connected.
What I'm after is a stock un-rooted zip which I can flash if I need to revert the phone to factory settings for a warranty return.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks .
Im not sure you can get a non-rooted version, i think that contradicts the purpose?
But that error your getting is probably cause you have the wrong RUU

Want to try custom images but Im stuck

I have installed 4.0.3 leaked version but have issues with not being able to send emails from stock email software.
Ive now decided to just use it to try different custom roms.
I rooted it a while back with some one click solution I found on you tube. All worked fine...
Then I installed Acer Recovery Installer v3.03 and pushed on CWM 1.7 by thor onto the device.
But when I reboot I get "recovery verified failed" error.
Im stumped as to what to do now...
I looked at other posts and tried to follow them but the instructions dont seem to be for my situation so I thought Id post this.
If someone can help it would be great.

stuck with Mi2 - Rom issues

My Mi2 is not playing fare. Got it from a friend, was running official Chinese ROM, weekly update passed ok.
I wanted to put a local ENG/Heb Rom so I did the natural steps: downloaded the ROM, put on the "SD" root, tried to flash with updater. Error was: can't find update binary. I tried with a different ROM I got from XDA, same result.
I tried recovery, renamed ROM to update.zip, tried to flash it from updater and from recovery, updater was same as before, recovery ended with error: file not signed.
Then I tried to reboot with volume down, I got a nice logo saying "fast boot" and apparently the device came up with a different ROM, probably from Sys1. This is probably another ROM someone tried to flash, it's a developer ROM for sure from Heb MIUI. Problem is that this ROM is extremely broken, almost nothing works. It keeps warning about crashing processes - com.android.phone, google play, updater... I cannot do anything with this ROM, device is not recognised by USB, almost nothing works now. I wanted to run updater to access recovery mode, it keeps crashing. I wanted to get to recovery mode by volume up, it just does not work. I cannot flash anything with updater as it crashes, I cannot download Rom Manager as Google Play keeps crashing.
Actually the best way I could think of if I can get back USB functionality is to flash a new ROM using a mac/PC tool if there is any. Can anyone help me here? this is really hard.
Update: device is not recognised by USB cable either on Mac or PC.
Tried booting with volume up - says mi recovery 2.01
but it does not get to recovery mode. I leave the buttons when logo appears, it loads normally to the bad ROM where everything crashes.
Updare 2:
Was able to get the recovery screen, now I'm on Sys 2 with a stable chinese ROM so back to the problem with not being able to update it. Binary not found.
Maybe get an update.zip from the official Xiaomi website?
The ones from here probably required CWM.
I got an update from miui which was the chinese version (with their supermarket.apk) and it changed into English easy enough.
That being said, I changed to Cyanogenmod a few weeks ago and it's far better than miui (and I really like miui)

What are the main differences? I am contemplating a switch to a different ROM, hopefully one that runs Android KitKat. That said, MIUIAndroid has been good to me but perhaps it is time to move on now that MIUIAndroid's future is in a limbo.

Miui was running fine but I found I had less and less space for new apps. (and I was wary of messing with partition space)
Since switching to Cyanogenmod though, I've had a lot more space for apps and had no problems with space.

Updated to 3.1, shouldn't have!

Yesterday I updated to 3.1 and now no videos will play on Kodi (or any other players). I also get an error on boot that days there is an internal problem with the system and I should contact the manufacturer.
I rooted a few weeks ago so O might just flash another rom and hope that fixes it.
Does anyone else have any ideas?
Thanks in advance for any help.
i get also this message,
i download the recovery image (3.0) from nvidia, install it without the data patition, (via fastboot)
after that i do the ota update to 3.1 and then i install twrp and root via 2.71 supersu.
i dont have any problem or dataloss.
i think the problem that u use rooted devices to update.
the error on boot thing was a problem with mine when i updated to 3.0 when i was rooted, i just did recovery via nvidia site with the 3.0 recovery tool thing and restarted...without root.
the manufacturer error goes away.. nothing to worry about.
This sounds like the same error message that I see on my Nexus 6P when I flash a new ROM without flashing the correct vendor.img that matches what the ROM was built from. I wonder if there is something similar going on with the Shield TV.
OK let's say I wanna go back to lollipop , how do I go about it any help appreciated thanks
