No notification when missing a call/sms - Legend General

On my HTC Legend the green LED-light next to the speaker used to blink when I missed a call or a text message.
But since a couple of days it's not working anymore, but when charging it does get orange and works.
Does anyone else has the samen problem? And if I want to reset the phone without losing apps/settings/contacts etc, how do I do this?

Little bug in my Qtek S200

Hi
I don't know if it's only with mine, but I don't think so.
When in vibrating mode this bug appears.
The moment I send a message, I get the message send notification but then the light keeps on blinking (like if you got a message that you didn't read yet or a missed call) until I get a new message that I read.
Only after reading the new message it stops blinking.
When in normal mode, something similar is happening. After the message send notification, it blinks for a short while (5 secs or so) and then it's normal again.
Am I the only one?? I think not.
Greetz
Seems I'm the only one??
This is the HTC Prophet, as everyone knows
Actually no, you are not the only one.
And the only work around is the soft-reset... :-(
however, this happens only when I click on the "x"..
when I click "discard" it works fine

crash/freeze when receiving an SMS - intermittent

hi everyone.. i've had a problem that has been bugging me for quite some time now. it happens just once or twice a week, but it is still very annoying.
sometimes when i receive an SMS message on my trinity, nothing will happen, no alert, no screen light up, nothing.. and without me even knowing, my trinity has frozen. the green light still flashes, and i can try to ring the phone and it rings from the end i dial from.. but the phone does nothing, does not light up or make noise or vibrate. it's just stuck.. whenever this happens i have to soft reset, and when i do, i lose the text message that was received, and i am never able to read it.
i've pin-pointed it down to it only happening when i receive SMS messages, but even then it's only occassionally.. as i said, about once or twice a week.
has anyone else had this problem?
Did you use a third party soft like SMS notifier?
no i don't.. the only third party software i use is a tab control program to launch my applications from today screen, this has been happening since before i installed pretty much anything on the phone
*bump*
really annoying bug

Notification acting up

Please excuse my noob question. I tried to search but didn't find an answer.
My Cingular 8525 with the latest official WM5 ROM has started acting up. It seems to think there is a notification present. It blinks the LED in yellow and sporadically makes the sound currently programmed for new voicemails. If I afterwards I get a valid notification (e.g. missed call), and I clear that notification, then the LED blinks green and the phone behaves normally.
If I soft-reset the phone, a few seconds after the green Windows Mobile screen displays, the phone vibrates and plays the sound. It keeps playing the sound and vibrating every few seconds for a while, blinking the yellow LED (the phone is fully charged). I don't see any other notifications on the screen. After a while it sometimes stops playing the sound, but the LED keeps blinking yellow. The playing of the sound occurs at longer intervals if you just let the phone sit. Only if another valid notification occurs and is then cleared does the blinking LED turn green.
I haven't installed any new software recently. It just started doing it on its own. I can't pinpoint any event that started this. It seems to be activated early during the boot process, before the normal WM5 Today screen comes up.
Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

Thanks!
I couldn't find how to delete notifications with the trial version of SKtools, probably because it only shows 6 entries of things it finds wrong in demo mode, but I was able to use MemMaid. Seems like a good program so I may buy it.
There were a few duplicates, but the problem persists after removing them. Same symptoms as before.
I hope the official WM6 comes out soon. I don't want to hard reset my phone until then.
What I don't understand is that getting some notification (e.g. a missed call) will result in the phone going back to normal. Also, the sound/vibration that it makes stops after a few minutes, only the blinking yellow LED remains until clearing another notification makes things go back to normal.

WiFi/SMS notification problem

The problem is, the Wifi and new SMS notification doesnt automatically pop-up.
It actually started with my new hotspot notification. Since I dont use wifi that often, I ignored it.
Yesterday, the same thing happened with my SMS notification. I still hear the new SMS sound. I still get the new SMS icon on the start bar. Only problem is, it doesnt automatically display at the bottom like it used to. I either have to click the icon or hit the left soft key.
Has anyone experienced the same?
I know its a minor problem but I've already gotten used to the function.

LED notofication

Hello at all,
How does the LED notofication work on your device?
I use K9-Mail. there I have the option to set LED notification on. But nothing happens.
It should work for SMS (handcent) and K-9 (E-Mail)...
Is there a way to fix this?
hm, seems that it blinks 2, 3 times and thats it... what is the benefit of the light which blinks 0,8 seconds?!
next funny thing:
device is in standby, mail delivers, it rings, vibrates and the LED blinks 2 times. Then I reactivate the phone and the LED blinks one more time...
Is it such a big problem to get such basic function works. We have now Android Version 2.2 on the phone. so they had enogh time to develop this... or is this a problem ob Motorola...?
Mhh I never saw it being a problem. Whenever theres a mail, message, missed call it blinks green to a set timing. On WhatsApp, you have the possibility to set it to any colour you want. That only works if you have your phone rooted.. so that way, my phone now blinks purple for a WhatsApp message.
By the way... sometimes when u have a message and you turn the display off/lock it without reading it, then theres one longer led blink but then goes back to the normal pattern, I guess just to remind you before you put the phone away that there is actually an event that u missed. Theres a program called "Blink" on the AppsMarket where you can customize a colour for every event... if thats something you are looking for ?
